Mom was awake way earlier than my wake up call, so of course I woke up also. I finished packing – a tight fit – I have to transport the Waterford flutes in my carry-on – and went to the concierge lounge for a quick breakfast. Steve arrived at 9:45 to meet Mom for the train ride home, and Mike called to ask what time I was going to have bell services pick up my bags. Our Tiffany Towncar drivers were all due at 10:30 – Mo and family, Mom and Steve, and me, Mike and Chris. We all headed over to the GCH for the final time this trip. Our trips home were all pretty uneventful – Mom and Steve’s train actually arrived in Trenton the next morning close to three hours ahead of schedule. I took Chris with me to Lucy and Hector’s house to pick up my grand-puppy. He had been with dog sitters for over a week and was very excited to see me.
Most of Hector’s family left on Monday, most of Lucy’s on Tuesday. My neighbors Joanne and Rich came home Wednesday night. The FTC came back from the Disney Wonder on Thursday (They LOVED the cruise and want to go back for a land and sea vacation next year!) and arrived home late Thursday afternoon. (My grand-puppy was crazy to see them and has been following them around since they got home.) Donna, John and Nicky are still in WDW as I write this – they were the last wedding guests to leave – staying through the following Saturday.
This was the trip of a lifetime – we didn’t spend much time in the parks, but we’ve been there many times before and I am sure we will go back. This trip was about love and family and pixie dust – the magic that can only be found in children of all ages and the promise that Walt Disney envisioned for our great big beautiful tomorrow. Lucy and Hector’s Fairy Tale did come true!
