brush the sand out of the hermit crab water dish!!!!!! Why MINE!?!?!? I have been going crazy looking for it this a.m. used my travel brush and have beEn thinking I'm really losing it when I recalled DS asking me last night if I thought he did a good job on the crab tank. I said yes, grateful that he cleaned it and that was that...'till this morning!
3 things I'm grateful for:
1. For once I thrilled he did not put back something he took out:rolleyes:
2. That being the pack rat I am, I have a spare ;)
3. that he cleaned it w/out being told!:)
But....EEEEWWWWWW!

A few from the "Why we Love Kids" file:

My son Zachary, 4, came screaming out of the bathroom to tell me he'd dropped his toothbrush in the toilet. So I fished it out and threw it in the garbage. Zachary stood there thinking for a moment, then ran to my bathroom and came out with my toothbrush. He held it up and said with a charming little smile, "We better throw this one out too then, 'cause it fell in the toilet a few days ago.

A little boy got lost at the YMCA and found himself in the women's locker room. When he was spotted, the room burst into shrieks, with ladies grabbing towels and running for cover. The little boy watched in amazement and then asked, "What's the matter haven't you ever seen a little boy before?"

A little girl had just finished her first week of school. "I'm just wasting my time," she said to her mother. "I can't read, I can't write and they won't let me talk!"

And my favorite that I wish I'd have thought of:

On the first day of school, a first-grader handed his teacher a note from his mother. The note read, "The opinions expressed by this child are not necessarily those of his parents."

Just to be on the safe side I think you're going to have to find a hiding place for your next toothbrush!

O.K. Just got home from getting DS from school...his answer was, "I just grabbed one Mom" We have a bin w/cleaning stuff and asked why he didn't grab one of the OLD toothbrushes and he said he didn't want to get the crabs sick with cleaning stuff. I asked if he felt I was it was O.K. if I was on the receiving end instead, and he said no, that's why he didn't put it back. I'm still trying to figure out if this is a REALLY good cover up...or if it's his usual M.O., just never putting things back. I'm writing this one down in the memory book, THAT'S for sure! ;)

LOL!

My DS#2 used MY toothbrush to brush Mr. Potato Head's teeth this afternoon. Fortunately, DD came and told me. DS had put the toothbrush back where it belongs. ;) I think I'm going to hide my toothbrush out of their reach.

Must be nice to have kids who clean! You're going to have to get him his very own cleaning supplies!

To be on the safe side, I think I would ask DS if this was the FIRST time he had ever done that!:o ;)

OMGosh, this thread is hysterical. :teeth: I'm getting a kick out of the fact that children use mom's tooth brush, not dad's, not sis's, not brother's, but mom's. LOL! :teeth: Could it be because mothers are always giving and never seem to mind, so it's just natural to assume using their toothbrushes for whatever will be okay? :teeth. Too funny! :p
