Hi - Our family of five would love to try to ride in the front of the monorail with the driver. Is there a strict limit of 4 people? Or could my DH or I hold our very small six year old so that our whole family could ride together?

Every time we've gotten to sit up front, they have only allowed 4 persons, regardless of age/size.

We just rode up front of the Epcot to TTC monorail last week.

Helpful hint: board at Polynesian, or Grand Floridian for the MK monorail. The CM's are better able to handle your request for upfront seating at the resorts. I've always found the CM's at the Contemporary a little bit distracted there, probably because of so much activity going on.

MY 8 year old DD asked once and they where real nice about doing it, then she asked again, a few days later, they where mean and said no ones allowed. So I guess it depends on if the driver is in a good mood.

Yes they are very strict on age/size. We waited for 2 monorails to ride from GF to the Poly last June. We have 3 kids who were just barely 2, 5, and 8. The 2 year old was sleeping on DH. I thought since he was so small they could ride too, but they couldn't, so I rode with the girls. They didn't get those "copilot" certificates some kids get, though, but they really loved it. It was starting to rain and it was really cool.
