are water taxis crowded?

I've heard some horror stories about the busses at WDW, how bad are the water taxis? I'll be staying at the Dolphin in 10/11 weeks..are the water taxis as bad as the busses? I definatly want to use them on the way to/from EPCOT and MGM.

I avoid using any Disney Transportation at park-opening or at park-closing. Other than that, I've never encountered a problem with the Friendship boats.

After Fantasmic at DIS/MGM you could possibly have a 2 or 3 boat wait until you get on, which could be upto 45 minutes, they do try and stage the boats so they get a couple out very fast.

After Illuminations, if you are there right after, you shouldn't have a problem, but the walk isn't that bad.
