I just got the Dolphin on Priceline. I was prepared for the Hilton, but was pleasantly surprised. So now I have 6 nights in May for under $500. Next step-air fare (if I can't get anything cheap-we're driving) Any ideas?
OK, now here's the big question...How do I tell my husband?

If you are a bit flexible on your airfare you could try priceline for that too!

Congratulations! Six nights at the Dolphin for under $500 is fabulous. If you don't mind sharing, could you please tell me what you bid per night? We are also going in May (budget trip) and haven't booked a hotel yet. By the way, you may want to check out the Southwest Airlines website for some decent prices on airfare. We've booked round trip tickets for $156 each from Hartford to Orlando. Thanks :D

$69 per night. Go to biddingfortravel.com to get the details on how to do it (but you really have to be flexible about which hotel you get)

Didn't they flew out of Hartford with such great rates! It might be worth the drive for me! I have many friends driving 2 1/2 hours to AC. Do you know how the parking is at Hartford?

I don't know about where you are in NY, but airfares just dropped today on most airlines flying out of Hartford to about $150 RT - which is pretty good. Try that travelocity search and allow for other airports nearby. Then also allow for the fact that you could add on a night at the airport coming or going if you further had to adjust your days. We're at the Marriot on the night before we fly home for a total cost of $39 and change (through priceline) Last time we were there on pricline we even got a free rollaway! Congrats on the dolphin - we have it for $72 for three days next week. I can't wait!

well we moved out of New York and I never edited my profile. We're in the DC area now.
There are flights out of BWI for about $180. I can't swing that. This was kind of outside our budget. I was looking for something less than $130.

punkin, make sure you sign up for the SWA specials every week and I would also check them weekly. If it's under $130 or drive, then just wait until the special comes out. If not, you could book something now for around $175 and with their easy ticketless travel refunds, if a special came out you could cancel and rebook. You night end wup with a little credit left, but that would come in handy for the NEXT trip (LOL)
