I just got an email from Kuwait. My son who is also an emt, came upon an accident with some civilian DOD workers. While his buddies secured the scene(they didn't know if it was an ambush or not) my son climbed into the vehicle . One of the civilians had a severed arm and was bleeding profusely. My son removed his belt and applied it as a tourniquet. He kept him concious and alive till help came. He stayed with this man until the ambulance arrived. I am so proud of him.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I'm so proud of him too.
He is a hero in any sense just because of where he is and what he is doing. But this is just over and above.

I have goosebumps. That truly is amazing and he is truly the definition of a hero. You must be so incredibly proud.... and with good (no great) reason :D
P.S. Tell him we say Thank You!!!!
Wow!!!!:D You have every right to be proud!
I was going to say this, but Deb beat me to it:
He is a hero in any sense just because of where he is and what he is doing. But this is just over and above.
May God Bless our President and all military personnel and their families.

I think that sometimes we use the term Hero a little too often and sometimes when it doesn't really apply. Not so here! You're son is a hero and you should be very proud!
