they came in the mail today, and as someone suggested, I took them unopened to the store and traded them in for an upgrade to the ones with subchannels. I ended up with an $80 pair for $20 and am tickled pink. They arrived just in time for a camping trip to go crabbing we are taking this weekend. We will have them all tested and ready for disney. Thanks again to those that posted the tips. :pinkbounc

Where did you trade yours in at? We got ours and I would like to trade mine in, but I have not found any where that has the same ones.

we traded our nissan cobra 2-ways in at a best buy store in st louis. got the upgraded 2-ways( the ones with subchannels) for no additional charge......yippie!!!!!

Is it ok to rant and rave. My dear children took them outside while wasn't looking at ran a waterproof test in pool. These are not waterproof, what a surprise, so now we have one walkie talkie, arghhhhhhhhh!!!Anyway in the scheme of life, not life endangering, oh and a tree blew over on the house, like I need all of this the week before we leave, looking for pixie dust here...

I also traded mine in for ones with subchannels. I tried Best Buy and Sears but no luck-HAD to have a sales receipt. Finally was successful at Circuit City but had to really sweet talk them. They also wanted a sales reciept. I paid a whopping $10 difference for the upgrade.
