We had dinner & breakfast there in 9/01, and again in 7/02. We also had dinner there 8/02, so we had eaten there 5 times in under a year. ;) Everytime the food & service were wonderful. And although a lot of people disagree, I love the the atmosphere there. We try to sit along the railing if its available so we have a view of the tropical atrium.

We had both lunch and dinner there.

Most recently, we had dinner December 3, 2002. It was an excellent meal. We shared the crab cakes and the sticky wings appetizers. I had a shrimp and scallops dish, while DH had the rare ahi tuna. We shared the Kilahuea torte for dessert. It was fantastic from start to finish!

I remember we weren't too pleased with our lunch entree, but the apps and dessert made up for it! Our lunch at Kona was a while ago - 10/01, I believe.

I had dinner there a few weeks ago, and was so pleasantly surprised. :D The food was superb, our server very attentive, and even though I didn't have room for one...the desserts looked awesome! Everyone in our party was very impressed.

I was telling DH what a wonderful meal it was, and we've decided to go there on our family trip in May. Don't miss it. I think you'll enjoy it.

We had dinner there about two weeks ago--two thumbs up for us! It was the second time we have had dinner there, and both times were excellent. We've also had a fab breakfast there.

We stayed at Poly last fall. We had lunch at Kona Cafe on check-in day--salads were just fine. Had breakfast there every single day--after our first press pot of Kona coffee, hubby refused to have breakfast anywhere else. We loved the Tonga Toast but could only do that once. My favorite breakfast was Kona delight--fresh melon, yogurt, granola, & honey.

We also had dinner there one night and it was good. Sticky wings were a tasty appetizer, I had pan asian pasta, hubby had salmon. Only problem was I think we got sick from our shared order of Koko Puffs. The pastry looked a bit undercooked and we were both sick to our tummies about 20 minutes after finishing.

Other than that, we loved Kona Cafe.

We have not eaten there for dinner, but the breakfast is great. We will go there every trip for breakfast.

We always have breakfast there at least twice each trip. Recently discovered how good it is for dinner, too. Love the mahi mahi!

Our favorite dessert was at Kona's but I can't remember its name and I don't see anything on the menu that resembles it. It was like a small chocolate bundt cake with a liquid chocolate center. I always called it a volcano cake, but I am sure that was not the name. Does anyone recognise this dessert? And is it still served? Thanks

It was available on the night I ate dinner there (Jan. 17). I'm not sure of the name of the dessert, but I had gone up to the counter, and the chef was describing all the offerings to us gawkers. ;) I specifically remember the description of the cake with the liquid chocolate center.

Yum--2 thumbs up for me, too! I was there on Jan 17th, too and everyone in our party was thrilled with their (and each others' ;)) meals.

I had Pan Asian Pasta----delicious

One person had the Spring Rolls---these were sooo good, I almost wish I had ordered them. They were nothing like the spring rolls found in a typical Asian restaurant, but they were so awesome!

One person had the Beef Teriyaki---again, incredible. I don't normally like teriyaki but this was delicious!

Kona will always be a must do for us each trip. We're getting so many "must do"s soon we won't have time to try any new restaurants (Have to do Artist Point, Akershus, Le Cellier, Kona Cafe, Hollywood Brown Derby, Jiko, CR T *sigh* so many places, so little time...).

We went for our traditional breakfast a couple of weeks ago, and I must admit- I was really disappointed in the Tonga Toast.

DH usually orders it everytime we go to Kona, and this time it was REALLY greasy. I had a severe case of indigestion a little later in the day. :( Needless to say, we won't be doing Kona on the next trip.
However, we did try the cinnamon buns at the Main Street Bakery, and it was great!! :p We're hoping to try the French Toast loaf next. :p

Just had lunch there last Sat. Had potstickers, stickywings, crabcakes, burger, ko ko puffs. All was good. My DH still raves about the burger. Service was great too.

We have had many late breakfest at Kona Cafe and it is always excellent. After a busy morning at MK we like to take the monarail to the Poly and relax at Kona Cafe. Try the tonga toast!

We always eat breakfast at Kona on our MK days and like it a lot.
Haven't gotten around to dinner there yet--. Just reminds me too much of the old Coral Isle cafe.
