What's the best rate you ever got at a DL hotel and how did you get it?

Planning a trip for next year. Would love to stay at the DL hotel, but those rates--OUCH! Is the DC card worth it? Planning to go during peak season. Any advice would be appreciated.

We used DVC points - stayed a week for a $75 change fee!!

$180.00 a night at the Disneyland Pacific. It was a conference price.

I booked this through travelscape. There was a glitch in their system. Someone had entered $20 instead of $200 in to the system. It was for only one night though. The next night we are paying the Spring Swing rate of $159.
