Has anyone actually gotten a good deal on a Disney Cruise by waiting until the last minute to book. (Like within a month or two). I've often scored good deals with other cruise lines and package deals so I'm hoping to be lucky with DCL.

I'm very flexible, and since we are on a confirmed cruise for Jan'04, I wouldn't be heartbroken if I couldn't go in June'03 as well. I would just book something else and dream until Jan.!!!

DCL does not offer last minute deals like other cruise lines. They do occasionally discount certain cabin categories, but that is not done last minute, usually a couple of months in advance, and only during off-peak times and certain sailings. :)

I must say though, when we were on last year the week before Thanksgiving - We went and got a quote to come that Christmas - Yes, a month later - We were seriously considering it - We got a quote of 2500 for 3, Guaranteee of Cat 5 or better - This is for the Wonder over Christmas - Now that I know the prices better, I wish we would have jumped on it! But this is a quote we got when we were on the ship - Don't know how else you could get a deal like that -

We have found great off season rates at the last minute by checking on expedia.com (then booked directly w/DCL for the same price). For instance, this past Novemeber we booked at Cat 11. 7 day Eastern for just over $2100 for 4 (2 adults/2 children). This was a great deal! Then in January we did a 3 day, cat. 11 for just over $1100 for the 4 of us. I really doubt you could get rates like this for the summer though. Good luck!
