Member cash discount question

MS told me "no" this morning, but I wanted to check with the experts........

I think I've read here before that if a member can get a cash discount through CRO, etc., MS would honor that rate even if it is greater than the 25% member discount. Does anyone have experience with this?

We have a CRO cash/DVC points stay booked for a BCV 2br, but the reservations can't be officially linked. I'd like to book a cash/points stay all through MS to avoid any chances of changing rooms mid-stay.

Some have reported that MS matched an AP discount for a cash ressie, but there may have been circumstances that encouraged that decision (like DVC was already offering the discount for those same dates).

In this case, it sounds as though there is currently no member discount available for the dates you need, so they are unwilling/unable to match a CRO rate. I think you can still ask to have the CRO reservation noted on the DVC ressie and to link them together, as a non-guaranteed request. You can certainly ask at check-in.
