We need a place to stay the last night of our trip. It doesn't have to be near the parks, since we will be heading home( east 1-4) the next morning. Any suggestions? We just need cheap and clean, and someplace our car won't be broken into. ;)

We have stayed at the Days Inn Maingate East without any problems. I have encountered only 1 other person on here that has ever had a problem and they said it was a few years ago. It is within a mile of I4. When we were there last April we got the room for $19.99 a night (a bargain). We will be there again in 2 weeks and this time it is $34.99 a night. Still not a bad price. Look at the www.go2orlando.com site, it has a lot of great hotel deals. I found they are cheaper than the hotel themselves by almost 1/2. Our room was average size. It looked recently updated because it was very bright and modern looking. It was immaculate. I am really budget minded, but I do have standards when it comes to cleanliness. Our room was spotless.

We've stayed a couple of times at the EconoLodge MainGate Hawaiian on 192 West of I-4. Rate is usually in the 20's. I'd recommend checking that. Also, across the street from that is a Knights Inn and a Motel 6. All are decent and cheap.

Try Priceline. You can get a 2 1/2 - 3 star for $20 to $30 a night instead of spending that much for a rat trap... pardon the expression.
Check www.biddingfortravel.com for information.

I would agree that Priceline is a good way to go in this situation. I've never used them because I'm too much of a control freak to not know exactly where I'll be staying(plus we usually doa suite hotel which they don't handle), but if location really isn't such a big deal then I'm sure you can get a great deal on a nice hotel with Priceline.

Priceline won't work for me - I think the 5 day cancel policy for on-site is too restrictive. This is for an extra night we may or may not use - we won't know until we've been there a couple of days. So, whatever I choose needs to have a same day cancel. I'm considering the Motel 6 westgate or Rodeway Inn Maingate. Any opinions?
