Warning about Howhot

Every day I click on this site to see if it has come back to us. Today, there is an obscene message about the US Government. I'm warning people because I let it load while I walked away from my computer. My kids came in and saw it! They are just learning to read.

What is happening with them, I don't know. But this is a little upsetting.

I read elsewhere that Howhot was "hacked" into yesterday or the day before.

There was a security "hole" in Microsoft Internet Information Server (a product that many companies use to host their sites) that allowed people to compromise the server late last weekand post the offending site that you have referred to. Howhot.com was not the only company that was affected since a "patch" for this security problem was not released until after the problems had occurred.
