I am sure this has been discussed but the search is not working sooo... Should I consider a cabin with a balcony with my 3 year old DD(she would be almost 4) along. She is not a climber but if there is any danger then we will just try to get a porthole. I think it would be nice to sit out at night after she is asleep. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!:)

Go with the balcony! On our last cruise, we had 4 kids in our group ages 9, 7, 5 and 3. We had no problems with the balcony. I loved sitting out there in the morning and it does give you a little more "living" room. The kids got to watch a school of dolphins circle the ship when we were pulling into port one day. You shouldn't have any safety problems.

We traveled with a 4 and 1 1/2 year old on our last cruise and we had a balcony. There is NO danger whatsover!! The door has double locks, which I even found myself having problems opening!!! As long as you plan on being out there when your daughter is, I wouldn't worry!!!

Especially if you are doing a 7 day. I found the rooms to be a little stuffy and would have appreciated to be able to open up a door at times!

Thank-you for the quick replies! She would not be allowed out alone, I am glad there are locks. I am looking at the 3 night right now. My kids have not been on a cruise before so this is a "test" to see if they like it. DH and I love to cruise but have not gone since DS was born 10 years ago. Too long I know, but we have been to some really nice beaches in FL and Mexico so don't feel bad for me;) . Are any cabins that are better than others? Thanks again.

You may want to consider a navigators verandah. I have photos on my website at www.***************** so you can see the difference in the various cabin types.

Wow! What great pictures. Thank you so much, I really do like to know what my choices are. I picked up a brouchure (sp?) at the TA today, so tonight I can look at the pictures and put prices with them. I just knew the Dis could help with the planning!
