Does anyone know if employees (and their family members ) of Disney World get disounts on tickets. Our neice is currently interviewing with them and hopes to get a job with them. We are going down in March and I was going to purchase tickets through AAA today but then thought that maybe should I wait.

Yes there are discounts for employees and their families for WDW. You wont get like a huge discount but it is nice. She has to and Safari Steve you can correct this for me, the cast memeber has to buy the tickets themselves with their own credit card. She phyically needs to buy them from WDW Cast Events. Is she doing the College Program???

Like Snowlet24 said, it's not a huge discount. It is 10% off and the tickets can be purchased at one of the Company D (employee stores). They also sell discounted tickets to other Florida attractions.

I am of course assuming that the 10% disc. is before taxes. Can anyone tell me the tax rate for FLa.

snowlet24 you mentioned she has to pay with her charge, can she pay by cash if we sent her the money. I figure its $30.00 savings compared to what I would pay at AAA it might not be worth it but then again the $30 would pay for a meal. Yes, I know cheap and penny tight but the more I save each trip maybe the more often we can go.

CMs also get 50% off resort rates for themselves and family....a special CM to me gave me the discount for CSR in March! YIPPY! The only thing is the CM has to be with you when you check in, but that's no biggy.

I heard that CM and families could get the 50% on rooms as well as so many free passes into the parks. I thought they might be hopper passes. Does anyone know more about this?

I have an annual pass, so it doesn't effect me, but from what I understand, a CM can get you into the park they are working in that day for free, they just have to meet you at the gate. Not sure on actual purchases.

Florida sales tax is 6%. Florida tax rate varies county to county.
I heard that CM and families could get the 50% on rooms as well as so many free passes into the parks.CM's get 50%-75% off of resorts. Stayed at treehouses in 1997 for 90.00/night stayed at Contemp. for 69.00/night.CM can get you into the park they are working in that day for free Not quite, we cannot be working at the moment we get you in the park.
Maingate pass given to CM is good for CM+3 other people 12 times a year is better than tix. Comps are given out twice a year. Yes, they are hoppers CM must be with you at arrival of first park, not for hopping. Free strollers, free parking, 20% discount; 35% after 3 years
