You know I hadn't even thought about where to stay the night before. I know I want to get there at least in the 24th, as I don't want to dirve down the day off. HOw is the Radisson? I just figured at the last minute I'd hop on priceline and grab a room. Would you recommend not doing that? Am I risking not having a room? Whats the rate at Rad?

hey buzz&woodys mom, what type of minivan did you end up getting? Before I decided on the subdivision! LOL I looked at like a fully loaded Sienna, and Geesh that was just as expensive as the Expedition.

You should go ahead and book the Raddison. The rate with the Floribbean code when I called last month was $99 for 2 doubles and a non-smoking room. Last year they released the FALL code and we got the same room for $59 so I think it will go down but at least you will have a room.

How old will the baby be when you sail, is the baby going? The one thing I did not like about the Radisson was when I requested a crib for my son they brought a old narrow wooden crib thing and he was miserable all night and cried which made myself, my DH and DS (4) tired the next day. He was 16 months last October and is HUGE and he could not turn over or move. Of course on the ship they provided a Graco pack n play like we have that we use when we visit Nana and he slept 12 hours plus each night :)

I just wanted to thank you all for being such a great and optimistic group of people and I really look forward to meeting you all in person. You are a fun group and a nice group.

That thread earlier today about "being blessed" to be able to travel on the DCL still has me upset. For the life of me I will never, ever be able to understand whiners or those who are always negative or can't let go..............

I know you all get sick of me and my "melanoma and aneurysm stories" but Tuesday I am having my first surgery since the aneurysm 22 months ago and I am scared to death (ok,kl bad choice of words). I really am, last time I was on the operating table I was fighting to live and so was my wonderful 22 month old DS :(

I have to have this surgery and know that it will be ok but I am terrified and just want it done. I will be checking in after Tuesday when I can but will have a long recovery. So keep the thread alive and going so I can read and smile...........

I am sorry I did not see the mini van ? until after I posted. I ended up with the Ford Windstar SLE which was $$$$ but Ford offered the 0% financing last summer and after I signed a contract to my DH in blood that I would not ask for another car for 10 years  he agreed.............I really do love it. It has a ton of room, leather interior, fold down 3rd row, automatic doors and the entertainment system which I LOVE!!!! I better love it bc according to my DH I will be driving it when I am a senior citizen.

My friends do tease me but then they ride in it and think it is a practical family car. I also like the way the car seat and booster seats fit snugly in the 2nd row captain chairs.

Sending many prayers and PD your way!!!

I had no idea you were having a surgery this upcoming week :-( Sorry to hear that, will send prayers your way :-) Also I have nevere even read anything from you about annuerism or melonma, so you must not be posting about it much, and who cares if you do. I thought we were all becomin friends here ? :-) You should go read my post over on the CB about being denied short term disability for the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy! Apparently by saying I am pregnant and tired in the same sentence (as to why I want to be on leave) I have caused the womans movement to be shoved back 30 years

I didn't even tell you all that here. Yes my case manager called me today, and says that she doesn't hve enuff med. evidence to aprrove me being paid until the baby is born :bounce: Isn't that just great? So, I have a DR appt on monday, and she pretty much told me that unless I am beginning to dilate or efface, that I will need to go back to work if I want to be paid. I was very surprised at the number of people on the CB that said they agree with that. Oh well, to each their own. SO unless something is happening on Monday, I will be going back to work on Tuesday LOL

The baby should be around 5 months old when we sail, and at this time we are planning on leaving him behind. NOt sure if I will be able to though, after we get to know him, KWIM? My DH really doesn't want to bring him along tho, so we will prob stick to the original plan and leave him with my MIL. I just told DH that is fine, it just gives me a reason to go again. Because my older 2 will have taken 2 cruises, and my youngest now will have only have been on 1, and the baby on none. SO I will have to go on 1 with the 2 of them
:smooth: hehe I'm slick like that

Does anyone know what chains are available on priceline near the port?

No Tiff - we aren't sick of your stories - girl, we are all friends here - friends who share and care about each other! Please remember that! And of course we will be praying for you, especially this week! You just get in there with a positive attitude and remember God is with you and so are our prayers!

In reference to the "blessings post" - the person deleted ALL their posts, but suffice it to say that anyone who can't feel any blessings in their life, well, it's more likely a depression than anything else. The person needs professional help and I'm trying to be helpful, not a smart aleck about it.

dzneprincess - we could all write letters to your case manager and explain how we feel you need to stay home with pay until Rae Jr. is born. And if Rae Jr. doesn't go on the trip, then we will all just have to plan another cruise together.

Hey, Andy - you're almost 48 now....how does it feel?

Rae

rae, I was just cracking up at his comment about respecting elders!!!!!!!! I just thought OHHHHHHHH hes gonna get it!!!!!!!! LOL YOu 2 are too funny about that shrimp! BTW your comeback was just lovely....have you inquired with Guest services about that wheelchair for him yet?? hehe

Well, as long as your all writting letters, why stop at the case manager? Just go all the way to the CEO of the company, and explain why i need the next 25 years off with pay ?? (just enough time to get retirement) hehe
:smooth:
But really, I will do what I need to do, and if that is go back to work on Tuesday, than so be it :-) At least I have had a nice week off, and I will be paid for 3 of those days :-)

Tiff, you got my interests piqued at that "blessed" thread, so I hopped over there and read. I didn't see any posts from the one who people were getting so upset about. Were they really that bad? I do have a confession to make though, unfortunately I am a bit of a worry-wart. SO while I know that I am blessed, I worry about things ALOT. So reading a post like that, reminds me that all is ok in my life, and things could be much worse.

My first daughter Kristen, was still born on this day, April 19, 26 years ago, the day before my 22nd birthday. I don't remember that birthday very much. Does your mom know that April 30th is Adolph Hitler's birthday, one of my younger brother's birthday is also April 30th, he will be 43 this year.

With a 12 year old in the house, I don't feel like I'm 48, well, not most of the time. LOL!!!

dzneprincess - the poster is a very depressed woman who has a habit of posting something then erasing it if it's disagreed with. Long history there, and not worth any of our time.

UNLIKE your comend about "you could be my parents"!!!! SHEESH! Nothing like making the "old Man" feel older and as for me, I am probably feeling older than your grandparents!!!!

Andy - they have a beach wheelchair at Castaway Cay I will rent for you. Have you ever tried shrimp puree? Better keep your teeth!!!!

Happy Easter everyone and especially to my pal, Andy - again - Happy Birthday!

Good Morning All:wave:

I hope everyone had a great holiday, we did.

About the Radisson, I booked a 2 king size bed suite. It has a living room with T.V, desk, pull out sofa, a kitchen area including microwave, frig, table and chairs. Then there is a bedroom with 2 king size beds and a large whirlpool tub in the bedroom and of course a bathroom. A very nice set up, the going rate is $119. per night. I was quoted this price using my AAA club membership. Last year it was only $99. I am hoping the rates will go down before we go. I wouldn't wait till the last minute to book, but I am a planner and like to have all my ressies made well in advance.

dzneprincess
04-21-2003, 09:58 AM
hmmmmmm ginger, there being 5 of us, that room might be a better option than getting 2 rooms. Are there alot of these types of rooms? I have AAA also.

Well all I have had a crappy weekend. Yesterday morning, we had a plumbing emergency in our kitchen. It looks as though a drain pipe from our kitchen/laundry room has busted. Our sink was getting backed up, and washing machine was backing up also. :( We thoguht at 1st it was clogged, so we went looking around the house for an access point or something. We noticed that in the front yard was a puddle of water that smelt like laundry detergent  So I have a call into the plumber, he will be coming later this afternoon. I just pray to God that it is not as bad as it seems. Because right now I am just imaging the worst. This house is only 12-13 years old. We have been living here for 6 years, and this is the 1st time something so drastic has happened. I am just really down right now. I had just stripped all our beds of the linens and bedspreads, and they were on the laundry room floor. ALong with all our dirty clothes! Which were piled up, I normally wash on the weekeds :-( SO my dh took a couple of loads to a friends to wash last night, we can dry them here. He mostly did all the clothes, but I still have 4 wet bedspreads and sheets to go, as well as towels from all the water we had to sop up :-( I need cheering up today. Have any of you been thru this or something like it before? If so please share.

rae519
04-21-2003, 03:21 PM
Mom, Michael and Tom were all sick but when Michael got sick - it went all over the room and into his underbed drawers, so I had to wash EVERYTHING (walls, carpet, bedding, and clothes in the drawers under his bed).

Does that help, dzneprincess?

What about the time we came home from late Church on Saturday night and had no water at all? Had to use "outdoor" plumbing, bottled water for drinking, washing, etc., for two days til it was fixed......

How about that one?

Hey, kid - I think mine are minor compared to your disaster this weekend, but if they help you - then good!

ALSO, I am seriously considering staying at WDW for 2-3 days prior to this cruise. Anyone else planning this?

Sorry to hear about your plumbing problems DP. Our house is over 60 years old and we have lived here for 10 years. I have experienced alot of plumbing problems, I've learned to take it in stride. My pet peeve is when DH doesn't check the oil which heats the house and the hot water. It never fails that we run out while he is out of town. The furnace has to be primed to get it started again and that is something I don't want to learn, YUKE!

Not sure how many Kingbed suite the Rad has. I'll post their number as soon as I get Ashley to school. I have to look for it.

Radisson 1-800-333-3333 boy! that is an easy number I should remembered that one.

Rae I would love to stay at WDW but we our spoiled and only like Old Key West, a 2 bedroom. It's 24 points for Thrusday and 56 for Friday, too many for just 2 night stay. I was thinking about a WDW trip in January 2003, so I'll save them up for then.
I hope everyone is feeling better today.

Andy I wish you and your family were coming with us.

We're gonna be in WDW the week before the cruise Rae! It would seem rather pointless to just fly out from England just for a week. Well that's what my mum and I say anyway. My mum said we could arrange to meet up at WDW if you wanted.

This is great!!!!! I think we will fly down on either Tuesday or Wednesday.

Andy/Ginger - We adopted Michael when he was 3 weeks old; I was 40 and Tom was 45. I think we have you both beat!!!!!! And let me tell you, I have earned every gray hair on my head with that kid!!!

I'll be shopping at Downtown Disney on Thursday or Friday of that week.

Hey everyone. It's seems like forever since I have posted on here. I just had to read 4 PAGES to catch up!!! :p A Late Happy Easter to all!

We have been very busy here. We had friends from Germany visiting for the week before Easter. They brought us lots of YUMMY chocolate!:p We had a wonderful Easter, the day before our church had its annual easter egg hunt and my DD (whose 12) found the golden egg and won a bike! She was so excited.

We have also had some bad news, my uncle who is only a year older than my father passed away this morning from cancer.:( So next Sunday we will drive out to Tampa for a memorial service.

As far as Disney news, I have booked two mini trips to orlando for this summer. We will stay at WL for memorial day weekend. And OKW for two days in June for our anniversary. I also booked one night at VBR for my birthday in August. Of course that is only a 15 minute drive from my house, but I just want to lay out on the beach.

I think that we will be staying at the Raddison the evening before the cruise as well. We got the King size suite last year and loved it.

Well, that's about it for now, I need to go put my daughter to bed. Hopefully I will be able to post more often. I feel so out of touch with everyone.:(

Have a great night.

Jan from the Halloween 2002 cruise and she brought pictures with her so I got to see a lot of you!!!!!!

We had a great time and for those who don't know Jan, well, she's one of the most charming, interesting and intelligent people on this forum! But then again, she's a native New Yorker (like me!) and it's to be expected!!!! HAHAHAH!

:) Wheew!! :)

I went to visit my mother for three days before Easter. I crammed my case load for homecare physical therapy visits for children into two days (It can be done, but not be old people like me.) and drove 12 hours, 700 miles, to upstate NY to see my mother for three days. We sorted, talked, visited friends, ran errands, etc. I fixed the curtains that were hanging funny since the painter was there and moved some of her phones around until we got them where she wants them. I was amazed at how many telemarketer calls she got so told my brother and he got her on the list of people who are not to be called! I went to church with her and drove home on Easter Sunday--12 1/2 hours this time as I was drinking a lot of coffee and cokes to stay awake. Nice to have unlimited minutes on the weekend with the cell phone and a head set--hands for the steering wheel--I called my mother, sister, brother, friend and DH (twice).

Last month we got a new (to us) car. The 1990 Plymouth Voyager had 211,000 miles and needed something fixed every month. We had looked at SUVs and with college loans for both DSs decided that secondhand was the way to go. The vehicle I liked best is another van--a Mercury Villager-1999. They took such good care of it, it is like new. Leather seats, two captain chairs in the middle, two sliding doors, fold down bench seat in the back, but there are just enough mild dents in the outside that I am not paranoid about driving in the inner city, that someone would try to vandalize it. I love it!

So--as a result of all that, I had to start on page 32 of this thread!! You have been BUSY :) and now I have comments and questions.

What is with a Disney Green paint chip? Wear it how?

DENA: Sorry to hear about your uncle.

DZNEYPRINCESS: My sister lives in Eufaula. Alabama. Columbus is one of the places they go to shop frequently.
We too have had plumbing stories! :( Our first house had a cesspool--that is a rock lined hole into which the waste water goes and slowly seeps out until the oils in the laundry and dishwashing water clog the dirt and it backs up all over the yard and up the plumbing..... :( :(

TIFF: What is the latest on the surgey and recovery? If you told us what you had to have done, I missed that. Want to share? As others said, this is the place to unload. If we cannot be here for each other when the going gets tough, what good are we?

AND

RAE: Thanks for the hospitality! :)
And the too-kind words here on this thread.
Michael is a charmer. He played the piano for me. He aspires to be a dualing pianist for the DCL. I want to know when he signs his contract so I can book a cruise!
(I was on my way to a continuing education class and stopped to see Rae, her DH and DS on the way.)
We had a great time. Fortunately I had my 2002 DCL scrapbook in the van. I had put it in last week when hoping to show it to a friend and forgotten to take it out. When Rae asked to see pictures, I could show her!
I have pictures of DENA's ASHLEY in her Sully costume and one during the DIS trick or treat that shows GINGER. There were a couple with EMMA and GINGER's ASHELY too.

I missed the banter going on here!!

HI all,
Sorry I havent been on much, been a bit busy trying to get ready for the baby. My parents are in town, and baby is still not doing anything to get out. On Thursday I had a nonreactive stress test, so the DR had me come back that evening to have it done via ultrasound. The technician wasn't too happy with the results, but said the baby passed. Today I had a follow up appt, at which he did another NST and wasn't happy with it again. So I went back to the untrasound tech tonight, and she measured my fluid. She said it was OK. I just wish he would go ahead and induce me and get this show on the road. My parenst are only staying until Fri or Sat so they will probably miss the birth of the baby. I t sure would be nice if it happened while they were here, because then I wouldn't have to worry about where to put my other 3 when I go into labor.

Now the sad news, my puppy has ran away:( HE has been excited this week because of the guests. Well while I was at my OB appointment today, he got away from my Dad into the front yard. My dad only made the situation worse by trying to chase him, and the puppy took off. As soon as I got back, I went looking around the neighborhood for him and calling him, but he has not shown up. This was at about 11am that he took off. It is now 930 pm and no sign of him. I even went to the pound hoping someone had picked him up and turned him in. NO luck. I just made signs on the printer and I will put them up tomorrow, after my OB appointment. But he has never run away like this before and stayed gone. Hopefully some kind hearted person like Rae will take him in, like Rae did her pup:( Of course my dad feels horrible about it. I can't really be mad at him, because the dog has gotten away from us before too. But when he tried to corner the dog, thats what made it worse. This a papillion puppy, a very rare breed and I am afraid that someone is going to realize that he is worth alot of money and try to sell him :(

04-29-2003, 07:48 AM
Concerned first about YOU and the baby! My dear, sometimes babies are overdue - Michael was for his birthmother by a week! Just take it easy and don't stress over this. I would have liked for my family to have been around when I had Christopher but hubby was sent PCS before me to the States, and parents were both working and couldn't get off. So I was alone in Germany when I had Christopher!! (In fact, I was being medi-evac'd from Aviano, Italy to the States when we had this diversion called "active labor at 28 weeks"!)

IT will be okay, you just don't get too stressed about it!!!!!

That poor little puppy! I hope someone will find him and take care of him for you. I made sure all three of my animals got microchipped - just in case. Never too early to do it and if it is taken in to a shelter or clinic, they have scanners to locate the chip and get the information. I think it ran me $40/animal.
Small consolation now for you though - make sure you do the ad in the paper, call the vet clinics, shelters, etc.

Even though it is a purebreed, it is actually worthless without papers, so the person who might have found him, might just try to find you first.

I know Annie is a rare type of Pomeranian, but without her papers, she's just plain old "Little Orphan Annie"!

I'll keep you all in my prayers -

Rae

Thanks dear :-) You are such a sweet person, I look forward to your replies, and everyone elses too. Everyone seems to be so kindhearted here. Still no Spirit :( I am going to go to the pound again after my OB appointment, he has never been out all night b4 so maybe he got scared last night and showed himself at a home. I hate that you had to go through your labor alone Rae. I am very thankful that my DH will be able to be with me. You are right, it will all work out. It just has to. It just seems to all be falling down around me right now, but I know that things are affecting me differently being so close to my due date. My poor DH, just imagine he has to live with me! What a brave man!

On a good note, my sweet sweet dad, took it upon himself to get me a new guest bathroom! I have always wanted the floor tiled, and when he got here, we went to Lowes and picked out tile, a new medicine cabinent, new wallpaper and a new sink and countertop. I was just happy that he was going to do my floor! I never expected all this! I put it all on the Lowes card! LOL Those things are nifty huh? Really though, considering I am getting a whole new bathroom makeover, it has come in atabout $550! That is great! I don'y imagine I could have gotten a tiler out here for my floor for less than that. HE is going to put the sealer on the grout today, then we are going to start on the paper. It is going to look so nice, and now I will always have a reminder of my dad around :-)

Please send your Dad over! My house was built with a very small Master bathroom - no tub! Can you believe that?! I want a luxury tub so much!

It's nice to have a Dad around - I miss my Pop very much. He was always there for me and from the time my Mom married him when I was 16, he was there for me just as if he were my birthfather. 25 years of that man in my life just wasn't enough! You'd have never known he was my step-father from our relationship. (My birthfather died and I never knew him very well since I was very young.)

I think the adversity in my life only served to give me more strength because I am pretty good in a crisis - and believe me I've had my share. Not trying to be a "drama queen" here, but I think the challenges served to make me a better and stronger person.

I know what you mean about your DH - my Tom is a gem!! I told him that I was feeling poorly today and he took the day off!!!!! What a sweetheart!!!

I really hope you find your puppy soon.

Still looking forward to hearing about Rae Jr.'s appearance - maybe you should tell him that his Auntie Rae is waiting IMPATIENTLY because her cruise is in 4 days!!

Take care, sweetie!

Rae

Hi! Hope everyone is ok!

Do you remember about 5 weeks ago I went to a competition with my choir? Well we found out today that we're through to the next round! We're going to London but because we're singing at 10am and it's a long journey, it looks like we'll have to go down the day before and stay overnight!

I had parents evening last night, turns out I got an A in my maths exam that I thought I'd done rather badly in! That brings my total to 4 As, 2 Bs and 1 C

THnkas for the well wishes everyone! He is here! After I posted on Tues I went to the OB appt and DR still didnt like the way his heart rate was on the non stress test. So he decided to check me in and induce on Weds morning. THe reason he wasnt doing good on those tests is that the cord was wrapped around his neck twice! Nathaniel JOrdan was born on 04-30 and weighed 8 lbs and 5 ozs! He shares the same birthday as my mom. I just wanted to let you all know that we are home safe and sound, I don't have much time but I wanted to keep you updated.

Dad's are great to have around. My parents live with us and my Dad is always doing things around the house. I don't know what I would do without him!!

Thanks Rae for the PM about my uncle. We went to the memorial service yesterday. It was really nice and very sad. When my DH and I got there my dad was in the front of the church looking at the picture of my uncle when I walked up behind him and kissed him on the cheek, I could feel the tears running down his cheeks. It made me so sad for him. After the service the family went back to my Aunts house. We had a good time there. All I can say about that is did anyone see My Big Fat Greek Wedding? Well, my family is very similar except we are Italian.:D :) :D :) :D :)

We did wind up going out to Disney on Saturday and spent the night at the all star music. Not one of my favorites, but I only called on Friday for a room and that was all they had left. The FLA resident rate was only $66. So I guess I couldn't beat it. We just relaxed by the pool and went to EPCOT in the evening. Then at least when we got up Sunday morning, we only had 1 hour drive to Tampa.

My Sister who lives in Virginia, just called us last night and told us she got a buyer for her house. YEA!! I pray that everything will go okay and they will be here in FLA by the middle of July.

Well, thats my long and boring update for today.;)

Hi All:wave:

For those who cruised with us last year remember the Hersey's Candy Contest I told everyone about? Well guess what???? Ray "Pryd" won something besides a candy bar. Yeap!!! he won $25.00. Way to go Ray.

Dena I am sorry to hear about your families loss. It must be great to have such a close family.

Andy, my computer has been freezing up so I've been working on getting that fixed. I haven't had time to add my countdown clock.

Ashley lost another tooth yesterday, a grand total of 6 so far. The Tooth Fairy brought her $1.00 in Disney Money. She's saving it to spend on the ship. Ashley said she is hoping to lose 3 or 2 more teeth by then so she can get some more spending money. LOL

Hi everyone :-)
We are all doing okay here :-) Just adjusting to being a family of 6:cool: We have a follow up appointment for Nathaniel on next Wedsnesday, we shall see if the little booger has been growing! He eats LOTS! I am nursing so I am the feeder! LOL

Dena, sorry to hear about your family loss:(

Ginger, how many kids do you have and how old? Seems like your DD may be the same age as my DD. She will be 7 when we cruise. I have already found a friend for CJ LOL in Rae's son. Speaking of which that crazy lady is off on a cruise without us!! The nerve of some people!

THe only bad thing about having Nathaniel here, is that now I am not so sure that I want him to be my last! (GASP) It is so hard these days, if you want to have a large family. People look at us already like we are nuts, I can't imagine the comments I'd get if I had a 5th child. But I just look at him and he is just so beautiful, and I think to myself that I am still young (28) and to say never again, well that just seems so final! WHen I was PG I was soooo certain I didn't want to have anymore, but my resolve is failing on me!

I will show you when I can get learn how to post some pics! :-)

Andy, for some reason I thought you were supposed to be on the Magic this week also? DOn't know why I thought that, but thanks a bunch for your well wishes :-)

hmmmmm I have loaded pics into my pc but cant seem to figure out how to post them here?

"Ginger"

We only have Ashley I couldn't handle anymore than her. She will be 6 years, 9 months and 5 days old when we cruise, another words pretty darn close to 7. I guess they will be in the kids clubs together. Ashley spends most of her waking hours there.

How's about that Rae, cruising without us, and I think she has another one scheduled for August.

DP you're not nuts, if you can handle having more children then I say GO FOR IT.

05-06-2003, 03:48 PM
Cool maybe we could get them to start being penpals? Maybe via email? Taylor doesnt know how to type LOL but she can certainly read, not too difficult words, LOL . She will have just turned 7 on Sept 9th. I think it would be neat if my kids could find other friends on the cruise, and spend a little time "away" from each other. Well let me know what you think about letting them become penpals :-)

"Ginger"
05-06-2003, 05:31 PM
I just did a double check and they will be in the same age group (5-7).

Ashley is very excited about the idea of having a penpal. I will create an email address for Ashley and send it to you.

just let me know. I am in a bit of a sad mood today...my coworker called me to let me know our boss had a meeting with him today. Seems he, I and one other fellow are on the very bottom of a list of possible layoffs :-( My company works on seniority, and if someone anywhere in the state of GA is laid off, and they have more seniority than us, they will have the option of moving to Columbus and bumping us out of a job. The other fellow is at the bottom, than me, than my coworker.

I've been working everyday, long days 10 to 12 hours. There were 3 people out on sick ???? last week, leaving eveyone else cover their routes, it's been awful. But,,,, I made enough money in overtime to pay for the cruise.

Our house drawing are finished waiting for our approval YAHOO!!! Maybe they can get started soon. I sure would like to have this old house finished before our cruise.

Wish me luck everyone, I'm going to take a the test to become a RCA. If I pass I get a pay raise, after a year of being an RCA I get bidding right to get my own route.

Annie has since moved in with my Mom and they are getting along very well. She is being pampered and fussed over!

YAHOO!!!! I called today and paid off our cruise. I want to get that $50. onboard credit offered by Bank One "Disney's Credit Card" and those Disney Dollar credits so we can use them onboard too.
I took the RCA Rural Carries Assoc. test today, most of it was easy but there was one part that I am just not sure about, Memory. Somedays I can't remember my own name let alone 10 names and 15 number and street addressed in just a few minutes. I'll know in 3 to 5 weeks if I have passed.

WE have put together a last minute trip to IOA/USO for June 12 and 4 nights. I was originally going to take CJ and Taylor and have some Mommy and me time with them, but then DH said he wanted to go! LOL SO now it is a mommy and me and daddy all except Nathaniel! LOL I guess it will be a small test to prepare me for Oct. If I cant leave him for 5 days, I know I WONT be able to do it for 9 days for DCL! He is doing so well. We went to his 2 week check up last week and he was up to 8lbs and 14 ozs! He is 3 weeks old today!HE will be roughly 6 weeks old when we go to IOA. If I have a job to go back to I will have to go back on July 4th! LOL IT is a company paid holiday anyway, but I would volunteer to go in on that day! Double time and a half, AND going back to work on a Friday sounds good to me! LOL

Just had our first potty training try with Cade  Hard to believe he will be 2 on Monday (Memorial Day). I wish that darn aneurysm would have waited so I would not have had to have him early on a holiday weekend..........it is hard to get everyone together for a birthday party since most take a mini vacation at this time.

My friend and neighbor returned from Iraq Saturday. He and his wife and DD are headed for WDW for a week Saturday. I am so glad they are getting to go and get away so he can adjust back to being home and what he has been through :(

Any hoo, off to get my nightmares rounded up for night time. And yes I am finally feeling better. Still having to wear my abdominal binder and steri strips but the pain is getting better and I am getting around more. The Disney cruise is keeping me working toward a full recovery

DZNEPRINCESS: Your DS is soooooo cute!! It makes me REALLY want to have another one! I keep trying to convince my DH!

We just had my sisters baby shower this past weekend, she was so surprised. I can't wait for my niece to get here. Only one more month. My other sister came down from VA and brought my 18 month old niece. They stayed at our house for a week. What a blast it was to have a baby in the house.:p :p :p

I have decided to go back to school to finish up my degree in Education. So right now I am taking a class over the internet. It's very easy, but sooo much work!!!:o

The good thing is we are going out to Disney this Saturday and staying until Monday:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
And we only have 8 more days of school until summer break!!!:p

I gotta go, because DH needs to get on the computer (of course).

HEY EMMA, do you like the Matrix? Have you seen the second one?

Andy you are a sweetheart, I dont care what rumors Rae spreads about you!lol

Thanks Dena and Ginger for your compliments of my son! I am definetly in love with him!LOL

Dena, I don't think my DH wanted 4 kids! LOL We never planned any of them except my 1st! What can I say, I am a hispanic catholic! LOL But we wouldn't have it any other way.

Ginger, thats funny that thats what you hear him say, cause I heard "Mommy get Ginger to take us with her on next years cruise!" LOL

Hey everyone, when should we start booking excursions? This is the 1st time I will have cruised with my kids old to enough to do excursions, so I am not really sure what I want to do. Can't break the bank tho, KWIM? Any suggestions?

Hello to everyone. It took me 2 days, but I've read all 40 pages! I feel like I know all of you already!

We just signed up (using points, we borrowed from next year! :smooth: ) It'll be me, my DH, our DD (she'll be 17 months then) in our cabin, and DH's parents in their cabin.

My DD just turned 1 on Tuesday! I'm a Taurus too (4/26) so 2 more bulls to headbutt with! :teeth:

Can't wait for this trip, and can't wait to meet all of you!

Share them with me - okay? I think it's awesome that Rae JR is starting to talk!!!!! You did mean your new son when you said "Rae", correct?!

Paul and Kaye - SOOOOOOOOO thrilled to have you both with us again!!!!!! Now you can meet my Mom since Tom is going in August.

Poohbush - welcome to the cruise!! Glad to know that you will be joining us. I also used my DVC points for this cruise - can't think of a better way to use them that makes me the happiest!!!!
So another Taurus - seems like there is going to be an awful lot of "bull" being slung around, huh? Little joke there....very little, I know.

I'll have to post a new list soon to get everyone on - probably this weekend -

Again, welcome!!!!

Oh! That picture is ever so cute, I love the whole Halloween affair at disney because you get so many cuties in adorable outfits!

I've not seen the matrix and I've not seen the new one either. I might get the first one out on video and then see the second one at some point.

I went to see Chicago on Tuesday night, it was really good but I thought the story was a bit naff really. I managed to fall off my chair and break it! Rachel did manage to fix it though.

I'm going to Scotland for a week tomorrow and I'm taking my friend Helen so hopefully it'll be fun!

Ginger: Aren't you so tired of all this rain we've been getting? :( We're so water logged, and looks like we're just gonna get more!

Thanks to everyone for their welcomes! We were going to go on the Nov 8 Western, but we couldn't get the cabin locations just right (we love being aft.) This is mine & DH's 3rd DCL cruise, and my in-laws' 2nd. So much fun, we're so looking forward to it! :)

The more the merrier!

Emma: I am glad you saw Chicago! I liked it though! LOL I havent found to many people that cared for it, so I am amazed that it won the Oscar. I think they did a great job on it, and my favorite bit is Queen Latifah singing "Good To Mama" ! I love that part!

Rae: Don't play innocent! LOL Fess up to them shrimp-hog rumors you been spreading about Andy;) JJ Hey Rae Taylor and Ashley have started emailng each other so they can get to know each other before the cruise, and now my CJ is a bit jealous. He keeps asking me about Micheal. Would you like to let those 2 email each other as well? I think it would be good. PLMK ok? :-)

Tiff: Are you feeling a wee bit better? I notice you are posting a bit more :-) I hope that is a good sign. What are you all doing for Cade's 2nd birthday? You got a shin dig planned?

Ginger and Pooh: Dont feel bad about the rain, I'm fixin to build an arc down here....its been horrible EVERYSINGLE DAY not just light showers either, downpours! It has been like this since Nathaniel was born and he is 3 weeks old already! My DH is a lineman for the telco and his last pay check he had 47 hours of overtime! They have been forcing them to work 10 hours a day, begging them to work their off days! AND DH has already been asked to work thru the weekend as well as MON. Sure would be nice if Uncle Sam didnt get most of the extra money huh?

I hope everyone has a great and safe holiday weekend :-)

I noticed my beloved hubby posted earlier, so I thought I'd add my two cents here too.
As Rae mentioned earlier myself, Paul and my Mother will be on the October cruise. Ma's name is June. You know I hate to admit it but I didn't realize that Halloween was during that week until DH mentioned it to me. He knowes how I love to dress up in costumes and such. Now I have to figure out what I want to dress up as. I've got enough costumes hanging around to be anything. The hard part will be deciding...

Oh by the way, it will be my Mother's birthday during the cruise. This will be her first cruise and she is SO EXCITED.

Oh by the way, in case your wondering why DH is in Hawaii and I'm in Georgia--thanks to Uncle Sam we're miles apart. Matter o'fact the two of us will be celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary at Disneyland. Yes, we're Disney fanatics.

Well, I've enjoyed reading the posts so far and I can't wait to meet everyone.

Althought I was already excited about the many friends I've made for this cruise, I was totally overjoyed to learn that you and Paul were joining us. This is a great group of people and you are going to have a great cruise!

Glad to know your Mom is coming - We can't wait to meet the woman who raised such an independent and caring daughter!!!! (Did I butter you up enough yet?!!)

We can't wait for the "dress up" part for Halloween - I already have Mom's ready and can't say what it is!!! She's going to look soooo cool though!

I have to add a bunch of new information to the list and am so very glad to add you and Paul!!!!

Yes, we are still here. :teeth:
I am still very busy with work. The project I am working on is starting to take more time rather than less. However, today I am enjoying the second of my five days off work.

You all have been very busy as well. I try to read the thread frequently so I don't get too far behind. I will not address evrything that you all have had going on because I am sure to miss someone. I do have to address the topic of Nathaniel. He is so cute. He has very kissable cheeks. I am sure his Mom has noticed that already.

I have done some shopping for the cruise. I need to concentrate on shopping for DH now. He did a little shopping but I am afraid if I don't push a little he will be looking for summer clothes for the cruise in the middle of October.

We have decided to stay at the Raddisson again this year. We stopped to visit family on the way done last year & did not get to the hotel until late. We are going to try to get to the hotel early this time so Andrew can play in the pool.

We are finding it very hard to wait until our October cruise. We are looking forward to meeting you all.

Hey Everyone!

Thanks for the warm welcome Rae. Ma and I were out shopping today. Bought some new outfits for my trip to Disneyland. We have an outlet not too far from where I live.

Speaking of location, I actually live in Stockbridge, Georgia. Not too far from Atlanta. Columbus is close to where I was born--LaGrange, Georgia.

We've had some serious flooding in Troup county. My sister lives in LaGrange, but works in Pine Mountain, Georgia. She e-mailed me these pictures of the flood waters. One day it took almost two hours to get home. It was so nice to have sunny weather here for a change. At least today it felt like Memorial weekend.

Well, I need to check on some more e-mails. Thought I would answer a few posts.

Hi everyone!

OK, you past Halloweeners (not I didn't just call everyone weiners! ,)
how dressed up does everyone get on this cruise? Do more people dress up Disney-like? Are there too many scary costumes like witches, devils, clowns, etc? (Yes, I think clowns are scary!) I don't want my 17 month old to get too overwhelmed. One final question, do most people dress in costume just on one day, or is it sort of spread out over the week? Thanks!

"Ginger"
05-25-2003, 07:29 AM
Poohbush you will see some of the kids dressed up through out the whole week. The adults only dress up for the Halloween parade and contest some do dress for the Trick-or-Treating. They come as everything some come as Disney characters but most whatever. We came as Cave People the costume was easy for me to make. This year DH and I have something different in mind sorry not telling.
Disney does ask that you not bring things like knives or swords. You will get a letter explaining things with you docs.

BTW-I think someone asked about making ressies for shore excursions. I guess you can still make your ressies 59 days before we sail. Rae, am I right about this one????

Anyone interested in Trick-or-Treating we can start the list of childrens names, ages, and stateroom numbers. If no one else wants the job I'm willing to get that organized. You can PM me with your info if you do not want to post it. For those who are traveling without kids please join in on the fun, we will give you a time to be treat in hand ready at your stateroom door. In the past it has only taking about 45 minutes for the kids to hit all the staterooms involved. It's best to do it on a sea day Tuesday or Thursday. I hope everyone will join in on the fun.:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Morning All:sunny:

Wishing for sunshine here.

Door Decor, I usually go to the Dollar store and get a cheap door cover something that is easy to pack and I'm not out alot when I trash it after the cruise. One year I had a plastic door cover that had little lights that came with a small battery pack, boy did that thing eat the batteries, had to replace them about every 2 hours.
I have seen spider webbing in the hallways, remember nothing that is going to get in the way of people walking by. Things hanging from the Mail Fishies by the stateroom doors things hanging from the hand rails. I've seen small plastic pumpkin buckets hanging from the doors, I always drop candy in them.LOL
Disney door hangers ( sold in the Disney Catalog) with the family name on it. Get the idea, all kinds of stuff.

Nasty weather we're having here on the east coast this month of May. It's May 26th today, "Happy Memorial Day" but so far this month, we have had 2 sunny days, the rest have either been cloudy and or rainy. Right now, it's pouring and I have a river flowing down the street in front of my house.

Ginger,

Actually, little Andy needs to clean up the doggie doo doo in the backyard and cut the grass. I think I lost my DD out in the backyard yesterday, LOL!!!

It has to stop raining, I have 75 curb meters to read on Tuesday, it's not much fun trying to read them when it's raining.

BTW, we had shrimp in lobster sauce for dinner on Sunday. We went to our favorite Chinese eatery after church. It sure tasted goooooooooooooooooooood!!!

Hi to all!
I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We spent our three day weekend at where else but DISNEY!!!! On Saturday we went to MK. Sunday we did AK and then to epcot for dinner and fireworks. This morning we spent it at the pool until 1:00 and then came home to reality. We stayed at the WL for the first time. I absolutely love it there!!!

WELCOME TO ALL THE NEW CRUISERS! You will love the Halloween cruise!!!

HI QUACKATTACK - Good to hear from you again.

GINGER: I think we will be staying at the Raddison again this year. We did the cruise special last year where you get the king size suite and then you leave you car parked right at the Rad. That worked out pretty well for us.
You can also count us in for T or T as of now there will be my DD12, DS13, DS16 and my niece 2. I will question the other family members who are traveling with us and see if they want to participate. I think the time that we did it last year worked out pretty well.

EMMA: Do you still keep in touch with Rory?

Well, I have to go finish the laundry, Bye

Ginger,

Your decoration ideas sound great! I think that it will be very exciting to be on the cruise for Halloween. Can you tell me what special things are done for Halloween. I have two DDs. The younger will be almost 7 and the older will be 2 months shy of 10.

Thanks for any information!

"Ginger"
05-26-2003, 08:44 PM
Hi Carole88 and welcome,

My DD is 6 she will be 7 in January so your almost 7 DD will have company. Disneyprincess has a DD the same age too.

There will be Trick-or-Treating aboard the ship so pack your costumes. Costume contest for all ages, prizes, family parties, dances, and games going on all week along with all the other stuff offered on a normal Disney cruise.
I am going to put together a DISERS(those who have posted on this board) KIDS only trick-or-treat. Those who have cruised with us on past Halloween cruises will tell you that our T-or-T is much better than the one DCL offers. Alot less crowded. I will be explain our stateroom T-or-T in more detail as we get closer to cruising time. Like sitting up the day and time that we will be doing ours. Just to let everyone in the past it has taken no more than 1 hour to do this. Afterwards those who wished to got together and had a nice lunch at Lumiere's before sending the kids off to the Oceanears club and Lab to burn off that sugar high. LOL Great time to make that spa treatment or hit the Rainforest.
I will need to know the kids names (first names only needed) ages of each child and the stateroom numbers of those who wish to participant. Also if your child has any food allergies please let me know so I can make a note. Like my child is allergic to peanuts and peanut butter but no other nuts.

Andy I went for the Chinese food tonight instead of the shrimp. I did have what you did but it was YUMMIE! I've got to stop all of this good eating and get going on my diet. I found out just a few minutes ago that I don't have to do the cluster boxes tomorrow YAHOO!!! I feel for you having to read those meters in the rain, we actually saw the sun for a brief period of time here today. Maybe things will dry up and the contractor can get started on my house. I know they are going to still be working on this project when it is time for us to leave for the cruise. Oh well, as long as they get it right I don't care.

Dena I've already made my ressies at the Radisson. We'll be there on the 23rd and 24th.

I went shopping today The Disney Store was the only store that I made any purchases at. I got Ashley some really nice things, I am going to put them away for the cruise though. The CM told me that they will be bringing adult clothes back in October.

Well folks it's going to be a long week for me so I'll be back when I can. SEE YA!!!

All these Haloween ideas sound like fun. We'll probably decorate our door too. Don't know if we'll participate in T&T, as my DD might still be too young for candy (only 17 months old then.) Plus have to wait til we get closer to see how she is around strangers. Don't want her to get too scared.

Ginger, did you finally have sun today? We did, and it was great! Came out in the late afternoon. How far north of Baltimore do you live? Down here in Southern Maryland, it probably takes me about 1.5 hours just to get to BWI airport.

Hey has anyone here ever stayed at Portifino Bay Resort in Universal? My dates had to change because my DH wasnt able to get my original planned dates off from work, so in order to keep my discount I had to change from Hard Rock to Portifino. I am just kind of concerned that it may be to stuffy for the kids. I have posted this over at the IOA resprts board, but jeez that board is slow...................no one seems to read those boards.

Can anyone give me opinions on Sea World. We were thinking about hitting that park also on this trip, but it has been over 15 years since I went to SW. Wee hee now only 3199 post to go to catch up. Come on now I can't do ALL the work :jester:

DP: Your children are so beautiful! What great smiles, and they look so sweet with little Nathaniel.

I've been to Sea World a number of times over the past few years. It's nice. I always enjoy the penguin house (they're so cute when they waddle around) plus I love the dolphin area. I hear they just recently opened a few new rides there too, I guess to compete with the other "ride parks." If your family likes animals, I would recommend it.

I live in Bethpage. I actually grew up in this house, moved out when I got married and lived in Valley Stream for 5 years. When I had my oldest DD we converted my mom's house into a mother and daughter house and moved in with her. We've been back for 9 years. Where in Suffolk County did you grow up?

Ginger-

Thanks for all of the Halloween information. My kids would love to participate. They are Rachel (9) and Tessa (6). We will be in stateroom 2130. Neither has any food allergies. I think it is really nice of you to organize the festivities for the kids. Thank you!

These boards are pretty addictive. Everybody is great!

cool Ginger :-) Taylor is really enjoying this email thing! She asks me constantly if her email came back! LOL If her letters dont make sense, sorry LOL She dictates and I type! I busted out laughing at the question about your truck! hehe BTW whats gas running in your area and whats the damage at each fill up for that EXC?
It is running about 1.37 medium grade here, I filled up the other da got 18.53 gallons and it was 25.55.....Not too bad, but considering I drove to Montgomery AL on this past Thurs I am already out! LOL

raerae where are you??? You have been awfully quiet today........

As far as decorations and costumes for our trip go, well I cant think that far ahead in planning. I am the notorius throw everything in the suitcase at the last minute packer! I am usually up late the night before getting our things together!

Hey, we were considering going to the MNSSHP on the 24th! Anyone else plan on doing this? I am not sure yet if we are going to, but we were pondering on it. I so wish that I could take the kids out of school for the week b4 the cruise, and the week of. The Fairytale package rate are pretty decent and I would love to do WDW the week before the cruise.

I havent been to WDW since 09-2002, and I really need a visit. As it is, it is going to hurt going to Orlando in a few days, and NOT go to WDW!

Michael's asthma is bad since we've returned to Indiana (again, that stupid song, Back Home Again in Indiana" -----aggghh! Hotbed of Allergies!). So we've been back and forth to the MD's for medication and treatments. Poor kid. Another friend from the Disboard has a child was asthma/allergies and is also suffering!
Go figure - this year and this weather!!!
So I've been quiet - imagine that! Me quiet somewhere other than in a crowd! SHEESH! That is sounding serious!

DP - I'll pm you with our snail mail address - I think that's a great idea for the kids. What a great son you have!!!!!

Not much going on here except MD runs - weather has turned cold and wet again.....really makes me wish for the great weather in the Caribbean.

I'm home! Had a really good time in Scotland

Yes I do still chat to Rory, she mailed me on my birthday and I shall have to tell her all about Scotland seeing as it's a running joke that she wants to visit it.

I should think we'll be in on the Trick or Treating but I'll have to check with my mum first.

We'll be in WDW the week before the cruise and I think we'll probably do MNSSHP but I'm not sure when.

It's really warm and sunny here which made coming home a little bit easier. Only one problem, all my chocolate's melted!

Well, "Traveling Emma" - how nice to hear from you! Glad you had a good time in Scotland. Their accents are wonderful, and from what I've seen their countryside is breathtaking!

How lucky you are to live where you do and have so much travel made possible!

Not much going on here - you have our weather, my dear and we have the cold, wet, windy stuff that England is famous for!

Michael is definitely enjoying his riding lessons and doing quite well for such a young person! She is allowing him to begin jumping small hurtles and I think he's going to be ready for dressage by next summer!

Wow, he must be doing well! It took me a few years before I began jumping and I've always had real confidence problems. I'm starting riding again soon, once we find somewhere for me to go!

The countryside was stunning, it was really nice to go for walks along the beach and then be able to wander through the woods.

Happy Birthday (60!) to Joe Namath!
Maybe we could invite him to a belated party on our cruise!!!

Emma - It's the "MAN" thing that gives Michael all his confidence. Let's see how he does the first time he takes a spill - then we will see what he's made of! I've been "dumped" twice - once while crossing traffic and the mare reared up - I slid off her rump but kept both of us safe from the cars - then second time was taking a jump for the second time over a boggy creek and he balked so I went sailing into the mud - very nice- I could just see him laughing at me.
Not to jinx it but I won't be riding again til we hit Grand Cayman in August!

They are having the Indy Dressage Classic next weekend about an hour from us - he's still too young to compete (min age is 14) but we are going to watch. There's this beautiful black mare (Egyptian Arabian) that I keep eyeing......

Thank You Rae for remembering Joe's Birthday. I've been in love with this man for 35 years. Hard to believe that he is 60 years old, that's O.K. by me he still does it for me. LOL I have invited him to join us on our cruises but he like cruise in the early summer months. I'll ask him again.

DP the Excursion is Diesel fueled and the going rate for that here in my are is $1.51 a gallon. Regular gasoline is $1.35. per gallon. It has a 44 gallon fuel tank. We got about 17-18 miles per gallon when we drove to Fla. last year. It was a nice ride down I slept for the first 7 hours I had the middle seat section, Ashley slept for 10 hours took the back seat, Bill drove. Boy, we were in Fla. in no time, 17 hours.
We've done the MNSSHP party for the past 2 years, we loved it. I wish we could go this year but we'll be taking enough time off for the cruise.
Carole88 thanks I recorded your info.
My Ashley will be doing the T-or-T too, she is 6 and as I have posted she does have peanut allergies. But, I should note that Mom doesn't. Our statroom number is 2052 but we may upgrade at the port.
We're getting thunder storms here so I think I should sigh off for now. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Hello everyone! Paul and I just got back from vacation. We flew out to Anaheim, California. Hubby from Hawaii and me from Georgia. My plane was about a hour and a half late from St. Louis. Mechanical problems with the radar. It was great to see DH sitting outside the Howard Johnson's waiting for me though.

Disneyland was wonderful! I bet the longest wait we had for a ride was ten minutes. I could not believe how uncrowded the parks were while we were there. We got there on Memorial Day. Friday and Saturday were probably the most crowded days. Oh by the way they kicked off their annual Soapfest and guess what DH and I got to sit in on a taping of Soap Talk. We both got pretty toasted from the sun, but man it was worth it. Got to see up close and personal some of my favorite soap opera stars (From All My Children and One Life to Live.)

Universal and Knotts Berry Farm was excellent too. It was a great way to celebrate our anniversary. Happy Fifth for us.

Happy Anniversary Kaye and Paul!
Five years!!! My word! How time does fly!
Hopefully you will get reassigned soon and be with Paul permanently - imagine that being married and actually living in the same house TOGETHER!
But until then, I hope you know that we do appreciate the job you are doing with the US Military and the sacrifices you are making to keep us strong, safe and FREE!

Haven't been to Disneyland since the early 1970's!!! Bet it's changed a lot. I love Knotts Berry Farm - especially the delicious jellies!!! (Last year for Christmas I ended up with two HUGE sets of Knotts Jelly!)

Paul said that Knott's Berry Farms had changed the last time he was there. We did manage to try some of the famous chicken. Had some Boysenberry punch. YUM.. :sunny:

Happy Birthday, dzneprincess!

Happy Anniversary, Kaye and Paul!

It is a beautiful, partly cloudy, 78 degree day here in Middle Tennessee. DS has been outside playing and will probably need to go out again later.

I have a lot to do but I am just taking it easy right now. I had to work Saturday and we took a quick trip to Georgia on Friday. I am pretty tired. I think maybe a nap is order.

Ginger: We plan to stay at the Radisson the night before the cruise but we have not made reservations yet. We do want to participate in the T or Ting this trip. We are in stateroom #2084. Right now we just plan to pass out goodies. We still have not decided if DS will be collecting goodies. Maybe next cruise.

Have a great day!

Rae519-

Evening everyone!

Carole 88, I can answer that one for you, The mustering Rae is referring to, is the lifeboat drill. No way around this one, everyone's gotta go! :o At about 4pm, you grab your life jacket from your cabin, and proceed to your muster station. And they're strict too, they check off cabin numbers. It's a real pain in the neck, and very uncomfortable, but good practice I guess.

Ginger, today was just gorgeous! Too bad we can't have more days like this. They're calling for more rain this week!

Welcome Zitofamily! You will just love this cruise! It's so much fun!

Since we are talking about T and T on the cruise, this is probably a dumb question but here goes..........are costumes mandatory? I'd love to have my kids dress up and us parents too but am worried about suitcase space. I don't really want to pack a whole extra suitcase just for costumes, or is this something I really should do?

Speaking of suitcases and room.... how much storage space is in the cabins to store suitcases and such? For a family of four, what would be a reasonable amount of luggage so we aren't tripping over it in our room?

Also, while I'm thinking about it. What is that fourth bed like that folds down from the ceiling? Is it safe for little ones to sleep on? I can't remember where I saw it but some website had a picture of it. It looks kind of high and scary to me! I really don't want me or my husband to have to sleep up there for the whole cruise - because my 8 year old or 4 year old could fall out -LOL!

I must say I am very impressed with how many of you have taken so many Disney cruises. They must be really good. We don't have a travel budget that will allow a cruise every year but I can tell already that this Disney cruise may be our first but won't be our last.

You can upgrade at the port if the ship is not full, which it usually isn't for our cruising date. One more reason to cruise during Halloween week. The cost to upgrades depends on which cat. your upgrading from if your in a cat. 9 or better the cost is alot less than trying to upgrade from a cat. 8 or below. Last year we were in a Cat. 10 and it would have been over $1000. for us to upgrade to a 5. , but if we would have been in a Cat. 9. we could have upgrade to a Cat. 4. for about $375.. As far as cruising yearly, well it can be affordable if you book your cruises very early and don't need to be in an upper catagory. Rebooking on the ship can save you big$$$$$'s.
Suitcases we are a family of 3 and take 5 peices along a duffle bag to hold our snorkling equipment and shoes and 4 suitcases for our clothes, 1 of those suitcases does hold DH's 2 cases of beer and my blender with colada mixes and stuff.

Oh!!!! got to go running to see Finding Nemo comps of The Disney Store. I'll be back to finish this soon.

Ginger I would love to upgrade but $1000? Gesh, i could have alot of fun with that money. We have 2 cat 10s booked...we are in 2071 and 2073 we are rather close GINGER.

Taylor will be emailing Ashley later today. I have been busy trying to get things ready for our trip so I havent been online much. We are leaving Saturday for Orlando. Do you know how HARD it is going to be to be so close to WDW but not go there?? LOL

I think on the cruise we will go to a DVC presentation. I would love to join, but I am not quite sureif we could afford it. Rae explained to me how the points work, but I am unclear of how much of an initial investment money wise that it requires.

Good news! I was called and told that I am NOT going to be laid off this quarter! WHE HEE! That saves me for a few more months :-) ROugh world out there in the communications field! LOL

SO GInger, I know you are a mailwoman :-) RIGHT? Andy is a meterman of some sort, my DH and I are telephone technicians, whats everyone else do for your clams? LOL

Nathaniel is getting so big! I added more pics of him to my album at www.picturetrail.com just search for dzneprincess album :-) He is 5 weeks old tomorrow! I am going to feel bad leaving him with MIL on Saturday to go to Orlando.

Anyone have any tips about SeaWorld or Universal? I feel I am well prepared any time we go to Disney, or DCL but I feel ill-prepared for IOA/USO.

Ginger - Thanks for the info on upgrading at Port. We have a category 9 so I will definately look into the possibility of upgrading. Does it take a lot of additional time at check in? I keep reading on these boards that we have to rush to make ressies for Palo and spa treatments. We don't want to miss out on everything. Did you get your Nemo comps from Disney? Got some last week when cover ups and sandals were on sail.

dzneprincesss - Glad to hear that you are not being laid off. We have a few friends that have recently been out of work and it was really hard for them to find new employment. Hi All:wave:
Nemo was a cute movie, we enjoyed it very much.

I've had the past 2 days off from work, it's been great. Not sure how long it will last.
It's raining again here, boy I sure would like to see 3 or 4 days of sunshine in a row.

I know that I have posted this before but who knows on what page. My DH is a Tractor Trailer Driver for Frito-Lay. His travels take him mostly to the upper east coast states, Pa., NJ, all the way to Maine. For me, I deliver the mail to most of my surrounding neighborhood but not mine.

Carole88 don't stress the rush it's not that bad. If your thinking of upgrading try to be at the port early. They normally start broading around noon. Reservations for Palo are taken from 1:00-3:30pm, Spa ressies start at 1:45pm. This is subject to change as I have taken this info from an older Navigator.

Yesterday was our last day of school. YEAH!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Let summer begin!!

We have had some pretty bad weather here the past few days. On tuesday we had a tornado drill at school 20 minutes before dismissal. I had to call my kids at home to let them know, because they were home alone and the funnel cloud was spotted about a mile from our house. We had one pass right over our house two years ago, and not one thing was touched in our yard. The angels protected us all around!!:D

Ginger, I think I posted this already, but we will be in on T or T, Ashley 12, Brendan 13, Alex16 and my neice Kayla 2. Our stateroom will also hand out goodies. We are in room 6053.

Have a great afternoon everyone.

Hi everyone! Thought I'd check in!

OMIGOSH EMMA! You did On My Own! That is SO AWESOME! Plus you got to go to SCOTLAND:mad: just joking! I'm sure you were fabulous! I did that song too, for an audition. I didn't get it either! I think I'll stick with 'I Don't Know How to Love Him' from Jesus Christ Superstar.

School's out and Summer School's in:o . LMS (Life Management Skills) is SO boring, although we do watch a lot of movies and have a lot of guest speakers. I have NONE of my friends in my class and they all have A lunch while I have B lunch. I did however meet a nice group of people that I hang out with. We have a test a day and no time to study! Right now I have an 88 average, but that's really bad for me!

Ergh, okay so I hope you all have a fun time on your cruise! I wish I were coming with you this time! I see you're doing a lot of planning so it's sure to be great! If anyone has Elena from Italy as their server or assisstant server please tell her that Rory from last year's halloween cruise says hello!

Hurray! The sun finally came out today. :smooth: Hopefully it will stick around. It would be nice to have a dry weekend for a change.

My 6.5 year old DD Tessa would like to know if anybody would like to become her penpal. She wants to get to know any other kids that will also be on the cruise. Please let me know if anybody is interested.

Rae - Thank you for the kind words. :D We have all been really supportive of my DH and are very proud of all that he has accomplished. (BTW, he is a DO not a MD.)

Carole my DD would love another penpal! She has been writing Gingers DD for a few weeks now and absolutely LOVES it! Her name is Taylor and she will be 7 when we cruise! What I have been doing is typing for her, so if you would like send an email to mabell75@bellsouth.net

Rae: Please pm me or rather email me at the above address with your snail mail. CJ really wants to send Micheal a postcard from Universal. What is his favorite thing or character from Universal?

WE have had rainy weather here in my part too. We looked at the 10 day forecast for Orlando and surprise surprise, everyday we planned on being there is either scattered or isolated thunderstorms, dumb question here, but anyone know what this difference is between the 2? LOL

We will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary on the 12th if June! WOW how time flies, I still feel like the 18 year old I was when I married, yet Im an old married woman that has been married for a decade and has 4 kids! :p

My kids have been out of school since the 30th and they are already grating my nerves! LOL

DP have a great time in fla. Tell Taylor that I am sorry Ashley did write back today, it was beautiful here, we've had so few lately, Ashley spent the day playing outside. I've got to work tomorrow, a huge route and I just don't know if you'll be able to email her before you go. She did want to tell Taylor to go see the Beetle Juice show at Universal, it was great.
Rain is rain know matter how they put, but don't let that stop you from having fun. We want a full report when you return. Happy Annie any how.

Emma!!! You sing it girl!!!!! Sing your little heart out. Someday we will be able to say we knew you when...:o :smooth: To be a *STAR*
Tessa can email Ashley too she is 6.5 they will be in the same club.
Dena thanks for the info.

I've been called back to work :p my fun days of being off are over for a little while. Take care Ginger

Carole: So happy to hear you are getting some sunshine. My children both go to a pediatrician that is a D.O. We love him. I had never been to a D. O. before, only M.D's. We wouldn't trade our D.O. for anything!

Emma: I'm a wanna be singer. The only person that has ever told me I have a good voice is my daughter because we sing together alot in the car. Bless her heart. When I sing in church with other people around me, I actually just mouth the words and barely whisper because I don't want anyone to hear how pitiful my singing really is!

dzneprincess: My husband and I are celebrating 10 years at the end of August, but, I was way older than 18 when we got married - LOL! That is why we have only two kids. It's way too late for us to have anymore. I dread even thinking about how old we will be when our 4 year old graduates from high school.

Well, we are off to Texas for a week. I'll catch up with all of you wonderful cruisers when I get back.

A friend has offered to make us magnets for our doors for the T & T.

These cost him so if you want one, it will be $2.00 and prepaid only and I will give them to those who paid at the Mustering.

If you are interested in this, let me know and I can make arrangements.

This is by no means a profitable operation for him - he's just a wonderful person with a great talent who wants to be generous and share some of that talent with us.

So let me know. I've seen the design and will try to show you as soon as someone helps me put it on my computer.
(I never said I was a computer wiz!)

Here you go Rae, in case you didn't see this above.

I thought maybe these door magnets could help identify those staterooms that will be doing Trick or Treating for the kids.

Welcome Zitofamily!
Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary Tiff!

Today started out cool and sunny-59 degrees.
Now it is overcast and 81 degrees. Depending on which weather report you believe, it will either rain for the next 2 days or next 6 days.

I have today off. DS and I have been having some computer fun at Playhouse Disney. DH also bought new preschool computer programs for DS yesterday and he had to try all of them today.

Ginger: I think I have given you all of our T or Ting info. We have one change. DS will be participating. His name is Andrew and he is 3 years old. We will also pass out goodies. Our stateroom # is 2084.

dzneprincess: Glad to hear you will not be laid off. As for what we do. DH works in the lab of a plastic factory. I am a dietitian. I primarily do Diabetes and Cardiac education.

Zitofamily: DH and I celebrate anniversary #12 in August. We were late bloomers and were significantly past 18 when we married.

Andy: The magnets look great.

Have to go. DS stops using the computer only long enough to eat.

Super idea Rae. I would love to have 2. They'll make a nice souvenir and the price is great too. If everyone who is partaking in the T-or-T got one we could use them to I.D. the stateroom giving out goodies. If you send me your snail mailing address I'll send you the money.

Andy I sure wish your you and family were joining us. You've helped us all so much. Thank You

Rochelle I missed your DD name and age could you post it or PM it to me. Thanks

Hey Everyone! DH just sent me info about the Halloween magnet.

The Halloween Magnet design is too cute. I really like that. Would actually make a nice t-shirt too. What a great idea.

Paul and I are trying to figure out how to put a Hawaiian spin on it. Maybe something about "chicken skin" or trick o treat in Hawaiian...just a thought.

Aloha and Hey Ya'll,

If anyone would be interested, I did make a t-shirt logo to match the magnet logo. Just thought I'd let you know. The t-shirt logo covers a 8 1/2 X 11" iron-on transfer. If anyone is interested, send an e-mail message to apwalters55@comcast.net and write Halloween t-shirt in the subject line, and I will send you a photo of the design.

You can pm verandahman for shirt transfer/magnet details!
Andy - you know my order already!!!!

Paul and Kaye - I thought my suggestion for Paul to come as a Hawaiian pineapple and Kaye to come as a Georgia Peach were pretty decent - now Paul says he doesn't dress up for Halloween - isn't that unAmerican, unHawaiian?!

We've run into a worse streak of asthma with poor Michael -had an ER run after an EMT visit last night and tonight was almost as bad. Poor child! All the woods around us are triggering his allergies - think it's time we move!! (to the ship!)

DCL won't give us a owners rate on our stateroom - now is that
fair?! SHEESH!

What a gorgeous day today was! And of course, tomorrow's supposed to just pour! We just can't get more than 2 sunny days in a row. :(

Rae, I love the magnets. I'll take 2. They'll make great souveniers. Just let me know where to send the payment.

Ginger, what day/time is the T&T-ing? I'll probably be interested in passing out candy, just depends on what the rest of my family wants to do. I'll let you know for sure in the future.

This Sunday we're having my little girl's 1st Birthday party! Let's hope it's a sunny, sunny day!

Emma, good for you for auditioning! You should feel very proud of yourself! Good luck when you try it again!

Gonna run for now! Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Dear Halloween Cruisers,

If you send an e-mail to me at apwalters55@comcast.net I will send you the information regarding the Halloween Door Magnets (and or) t-shirts. I will have them ready next week and can ship them out to you directly. I have more blank magnets being delivered Tuesday and I will be printing them off.

I think Rae has enough on her hands right now with her son's asthma attacks, and I can take care of getting your orders and getting the magnets out in the mail to you directly.

Thanks, wishing you all a MAGICal Halloween Cruise!!!

Thank You Andy.

Rae I sure hope Michael feels better soon. It awful with your child is sick and there is nothing you can do to help ease the pain.

Poohbush we haven't set a day or time yet. I was thinking that Thursday Oct. 30, would be good since it's one if our at sea days, getting started around 11a.m. Everyone could gather on Deck 3 midship Atrium Lobby area at 10:50 a.m. so we can get our parade of Trick or Treater started by 11 a.m..

If this sounds good to everyone let me know.

Kayefire you and your DH could go as Lilo and Stitch it had a Hawaiian setting. I loved her little dresses.

From the Family Fun site, thought I would pass it along.

Halloween Treats at the Parks
We're going to be in Orlando touring all the different parks over Halloween. My kids really want to bring their costumes and trick or treat. Is there a place they can do that?
Sure. The theme parks themselves have very exciting and elaborate Halloween parties.

Let's start with Disney, which aims its celebration toward the 12-and-under crowd. Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (the name says it all) is held at the Magic Kingdom on October 11, 17, 20, 25, 27, 31 & November 1st from 7 pm to 12 am. Advance ticket prices are $30.00 for adults, $20.00 for kids 3-9. Prices at the gate on the day of the party are $36.00 for adults, and $26.00 for kids 3-9. All prices are not inclusive of tax. Advance ticket purchases are a good idea, especially if you're planning to visit on the actual evening of the 31st. Call (407) W-DISNEY.

Guests are invited to wear costumes as long as they're not obstructive or offensive. Kids can trick or treat for candy and goodies throughout the park and there is a special Halloween version of the fireworks as well as a special Halloween parade. The kids can join the characters (who are also in costume) during the parades. All around the park there will be storytellers, fortune tellers, face painting and a complimentary family photo is included in the price.

The Disney version, with its emphasis on fun, is the best choice for families with young kids. But if you have preteens and teens who want to be scared silly, look to the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios which advertises "blood curling, bone-chilling, maniacal madness." The celebration runs for nineteen nights, on weekends from October 4 through November 2 and begins at 7 pm.. This is a huge deal, which sells out way in advance and draws people from all over the country. Tickets are $56.95 for any age (they obviously don't expect a lot of kids under 9 to show up at this party) and can be purchased in advance by calling 1-800-644-4679 (GORY), at universalstudios.com or through Ticketmaster.

The Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights features hundreds of "undead" creatures lurking in alleyways, a "Midway of the Bizarre" with sinister sideshow games, a "Festival of the Dead" parade, and five themed haunted houses. The haunted houses are rumored to be genuinely terrifying--designed to disorient and startle even fearless thrill-seekers. There are also special Halloween shows that parody famous people.

The differences between the Disney and Universal celebrations, which are clearly aimed at different age groups, could not be more clear-cut. While Disney uses words like "not too scary," "silly," and "fun." Universal Studios stresses that its offerings are "extreme," "intense" and "frightening." So make your choice--either one should produce a very memorable evening!

Seasonal Dates and Rates Subject to Change.

Andy - The magnet looks great. My family would love to have one. I will email you to ge further information.

Rae - I hope that your son is feeling better. I know that asthma can be hard to manage.

Dizneprincess - Tessa is very happy to have a pen pal. Later today I will have her send her first email to Taylor.

Ginger - Tessa is also happy to email Ashley. I think that it is a great idea for the girls to get to know each other a little bit beofre they meet in the club. Please let me know the email address to use.

Did everybody get to the disney store? I went to the Manhatten store on Friday and they had tons of stuff on sale for 75% off. I picked up some great items for the cruise as well as birthday and Christmas presents. Also received 6 tickets to see Finding Nemo. I love it when I get a good bargain!

Hope everybody's weekend is great. We had more rain yesterday but are supposed to get sun today.

We've had two ER runs in the past three days. I don't know who is more worn out, Michael with his compromised breathing and coughing constantly or us with our anxiety and lack of sleep due to worry!

I thank you all for your concern and prayers. The ER doctors have been wonderful but I will take him to our MD (a respiratory specialist) on Monday.

We know that because we live in a heavily wooded area there are a great many molds and pollen and of course, the idiots who are burning wet leaves and the smoke from that -------so we are definitely considering selling off the house and moving (it has to be in the area due to DH's job) but a place where there are fewer trees but no cornfields or pig farms (again the chemicals).

Like I said before, if DCL would just let us buy our stateroom, we'd just sail and DS could breathe easy!!

Lots of love to you all -
Rae

Did you know that you can pre-pay your onboard credits a little bit every month????
We come home from our cruises not owing a dime. It's a great feeling since Christmas is just around the corner.

You can call Gifts Ahoy the same company that you might use to purchase the Bon Voyage gifts from. They offer onboard credits in denominations starting at $25.. You can call them at 1-800-601-8455. You just need to give them your last name and stateroom number.
If you over pay, LOL, they will credit the remaining amount back to your credit card.

We usually start out with a $500. credit. Last year we only had to pay $1.73 when we check-out. Keep in mind that we do bring our own cocktails.

But then again, as my DH would advise - The Parents allowed it!

Rae-

Hope your son is doing better. My 5 year DS has had severe asthma since he was 3 months old and been through heck with it. His is acting up this month but not as badly as your sons. The pine pollen here in NC and molds from all of the rain in getting him. Since he was 3 he has been on a cocktail of chewable Singulair, Zyrtec, 6 puffs of Flovent and 3 puffs of abuteral daily and that combination has really worked for us. I pray he gets through this quickly. Are they giving him predisone shots or oral medication? That stuff will have him bouncing off the walls, we crush it and mix it with Ginger Ale for Chance to drink because the liquid version is awful.

Hi to everyone else! I am a year older but not wiser

Hi everyone. Thanks for the notes and prayers. It's been horrible here for Michael - as Tiff, Andy and the rest of you who either have children with RAD, Asthma or just ill will understand!

We are doing claritin, singular, nasalcort, pulmicort, proventil and a nebulizer with albuteral for his coughing - which has still not improved but we haven't been to the ER since the weekend. KNOCK ON WOOD!

Tom and I feel both emotionally drained and physically exhausted at this point. But that's nothing compared to how Michael is feeling with compromised breathing. We will just keep hoping that God will show us the right path and we can follow it.

Emma, I have Chapter 2 and will definitely get to it! I have been trying to finish a Jeffrey Archer (Lord Archer) book now for a week but ......well, the priorities take over and then I forget where I was! Have you read him? "As the Crow Flies" would be a good start - or "Kane and Abel". He is one of my three favorite authors!

Best wishes to all for a dry, sickfree week!

Rae - sure hope you and your family gets some much needed rest and feeling much healthier soon!!!

Ginger - That is a great idea about paying in advance onboard credit - I think I might have to do that - Do you know if you can also do that through your travel agent? (DU)

Just starting to read this board as the trip is getting closer - but not close enough - Have you all talked about hooking up as dinner table mates? Although I am sure my DH will want to hook up with Rosegreenthumb and her family so he can talk about football the whole time (he is a brit and boy they love their soccer!)

Yes, Karen I am sure your TA can do this for you but, you may want to call Disney yourself because the CM will ask you how you want your Gift Cards made out, like "Happy Sailing from Mickey" "Love from Mom" you know personal stuff. Plus they will ask you for credit card number.

I got a $100. onboard credit yesterday from the Disney Visa Credit Card company. There was a coupon in this month statement offering $100. onboard credits with original bookings made prior to 7/15/03. Your sailing dates have to be between 8/30 and 12/13/03. When I first booked they were only offering $50. onboard credit. I did put on deposit on the cruise using the Disney Visa Card and paid off the cruise with the card. I called Costco whom I am using this time as my TA they called it in and Disney changed the $50. to $100.. So far I have 42 Disney Dream Reward Dollars to also use aboard the ship.

Rae, I am glad Michael is feel somewhat better.

We hooked up ressie one year with a large group from the boards and it was lots of fun. But, because we like to go to Palo and Topsiders for dinner as much as possible we don't feel it would be a good idea for us to do that again.

First of all, Michael has been doing great! But we still are going to move away from this forested area.

So prayers, good thoughts, etc, are requested to get this over and done with....

Thank you all!

Evening everyone!

Rae, Best of luck selling/buying houses. Hope all goes quickly & smoothly. Plus, glad to hear Michael is doing better, and hope you don't have to visit anymore ER's for a long, long time! :)

Had a nice weekend. It was finally sunny for more than 2 days in a row! We had our baby girl's 1st birthday party on Sunday. Boy did she have a great time! It's so hard to believe she's 1 year already! Time goes by so fast! Except for the time waiting for this cruise date to come!

Hi Everybody!

Rae - Good luck with buying/selling your home. Hopefully the new environment will be good for Michael. My DH sees a lot of kids with asthma in the ER and says that it is very hard on the family as well as the child. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Poobush - Happy birthday to your DD! Glad to hear that you had a nice party. It seems like yesterday that my girls turned one. Now they are 9 and 6. Time really does fly! (Except for the time it takes for this cruise to arrive!)

Hope everybody has a good weekend. DH & I are going to a hospital resident graduation party tomorrow. It is black tie so we are practicing dressing up for formal night on the cruise. :D

Thanks for the good wishes, friends - so far everything has fallen into place. I used to tell our oldest son, "If God intends it to be for you, things will go smoothly and quickly - if not, then He has something else in mind." I have to remind myself of that.

Michael's asthma is now requiring two nebulizer treatments per day. And his behavior has been alternating between three of the Seven Dwarfs (Grumpy, Sleepy or Bashful).

Paul - you wouldn't believe how QUIET he has become! Not the bubbly little dining mate we had with us in December! But I am sure that as the asthma abates, he will start feeling better.

Andy - I still didn't get to the PO with my photo albums, sorry! Maybe Ginger can come over and get them!!! What say you, Ginger? Could that constitute "special special delivery"?~!

Hello every one,
Hi I am a little new to this, so please bare with me ( there is nothing like the first time)! My family and I will be on th cruise with all you guys! This is our first Disney cruise so any and all advise is welcome. A couple of things I am intrested in are as follows, how is the weather this time of year and is the water rough being huracane season and all? I have twin 11 year old boys :bounce: :smooth: :smooth: should we plan to bring stuff for halloween with us? Is it better to take the Disney bus from the airport to the Ship or make arangements with a car service and wich would be easyer going back after the cruise? I know I have more questions but I cant think of them now. I look foward to hearing from the DCL experts Thank You!!!!!!:)

WElcome aboard NADTWINS :-)

HI everyone back from a whirlwind week at IOA/US. We stayed at Portofino, to be honest I was not all that impressed. It was nice, but I believe The Royal Pacific would have been just as well.

RAE and Ginger the kids picked out postcards but I did not get time to mail them! Please let Ashley and Michael know that they will bein Mondays mail!

Carole we got in late last night and my DD hasnt had time to read Tessa's email. BUT as soon as we get caught up around here, I will let her read it :-)

RAE I really hope Michael is feeling better!

GINGER, I just got my Disney VISA in the mail while I was gone. I have not had a chance to look through the inserts yet, but I would love to get that $100 on board credit, do you have any info for me on that? TEACH me OH WISE ONE! LOL

Hey everyone it has been a while since I posted, due to the fact that I have had problems logging on, but here I am again.

I just got back for Orlando International, I put my daughter on a plane up to Virginia to my sisters house for 3 weeks. She is going to help with my niece while my sister packs up the house. They just bought a house in FL.

NADTWINS: Welcome aboard - your going to LOVE the cruise!:p If you have read our whole thread, you'll see we are planning a meeting on board as well as our own T or T for the kids. Some of us who sailed on Halloween last year did the same thing and my daughter had a better time with our own T or T than with Disney's. We took a count of how many children were going to participate (I think we had 23) and then brought our own goodie bags. As far as getting from the airport to the terminal, I can't help you on that, because we drive to the terminal.

RAE: I know exactly what you are going through with your DS. We went through that with my oldest when he was younger. What a scary and tiresome experience. When he turned 12 the doctor put him on zyrtec and singular and he has been doing great ever since!! Anyone that goes through the experience of asthma with a child is in my thoughts and prayers.

dzneprincess: My DH and I were in Orlando last saturday, we went to citywalk to the hard rock cafe to see a concert. It was actually our first time to the HRC and it was great!

Well, thats all of my news for now have a great evening everyone.

Welcome aboard Nadtwins!

I have the opening night of our school production on Tuesday which means dress rehersal tomorrow. It's bound to go horribly wrong somehow but at least it's only the dress rehersal.

My choir teacher won north west secondary school teacher of the year on wednesday. She's now been entered into the national finals so fingers crossed for her.

KaitlinsMom-what sitting are you likely to be on?

Hope everyone is well, I think it's only about 19 weeks until we'll be cruising disney style!

Hey Rose -

We have requested 2nd seating - With the time difference for us, that is what works out well for us - I just know my DH and your Dad would probably get along great - What team does he support again? I believe you support Man U? is that right?

Good luck with your school production - I'm sure things will go wonderfully!!!

Hi all hope you had a great weekend and Father's Day to all the Dads.

As some of you know my DH is a tractor-trailer driver for Frito-Lay. A few weeks ago Frito of Aberdeen Maryland held their 8th Annual Professional Drivers Competition. DH came in 2nd place which sent him to compete in the state competition which was held yesterday. He came in 1st place :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: . In August we'll go to Ohio where he will compete in the National Competition. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc I am so proud of him. He'll need a good vacation after all of this stress.

Welcome NADTWINS
DP when I booked our cruise I used the credit card for the deposit and I paid off the cruise with the credit card. I called my TA and gave them the new code to get the $100. They called it in to Disney who applied it, taking away my first onboard credit of $50 but that was o.k. by me.

Info from Ray about the Halloween Tee-shirts, polos and tank tops that have a embroidered logo. He is sorry for the delay, he has had 2 deaths in the family. First his Dad past away then 2 weeks later his brother. Our prays go out to him and his family.
He is working on a new logo this year for us something with Mickey and Minnie.

see you all real soon:wave:

Well, another weekend over with!

Welcome NADTWINS! You're gonna just love this cruise! And while this is our 3rd DCL cruise, it's our 1st Halloween sailing. From what I can gather, bring those costumes! It sounds like a ton of fun!

Ginger, congrats to your DH. From all the bounces :Pinkbounc :bounce: , I can tell you're very proud!

Thanks Carole for the kind words about my DD!

Rose, good luck with the dress rehearsal! Maybe things won't go as bad as you think! Good luck on opening night!

Hope everyone is doing well! :)

I think Halloween's the best time to cruise! I'm not exactly an expert but I think it all the same.

Congratulations to your DH Ginger!

My dad is an Everton fan I think where as my brothers and I are Man U supporters. We'll also be on second sitting I think.

Dress rehersal actually didn't go all that badly! Some parts are a bit iffy but we'll get them sorted I hope. I do have to wear a stupid welsh hat but I secretly quite like it!

Although I posted this as a new thread, I thought I'd put it down for those who only read this one.

In 2004, the Magic will add the Port of Call, San Juan, Puerto Rico to it's itinerary - only on August 2, August 21 and September 4. This will replace St. Marten.

Also, in 2004, the Magic will add Antigua in place of St. Marten on September 21 and October 4.

I've changed my cruise dates to get both of these ports in -

Also, I was tipped off that shortly the December 2004 dates will be released - HINT!!! 10 day cruise for the Holidays?!~

AND since 2005 will be the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland, would it be a surprise to anyone if the Magic relocated there for the year?!!!

This can be VERY interesting!!!

Rae

Congrats on passing the test Ginger, and I'm glad you like the magnets. Our DD gets out of school on Friday, and it won't be a day too soon as far as we are concerned.
