I like how they include feeling miserable as one of the symptoms of the virus. How technical of them.

The Slantinel is always good at providing quality descriptives for their articles. The paper seems like it is made for a town of 20,000, not 1.6 million. Geez. :)

Believe me, when I say this stomach virus is NO FUN. My husband & I had this the day we left WDW last October. Miserable does not begin to describe how one feels :(. Neither of us have ever been THAT sick in all our life.

My husband I both got this after our trip to Disney World over New Years. It was not fun at all!

2 friends of mine took their families to the WDW resort last weekend and became ill with the same symptons. There we a total of 9 people and they all got very ill. My friends1 year old daughter had to be put into the hospital because of dehydration. She became so ill that when they went to give her fluids they were unable to get a vain beause of how dehydrated she had become.

Ugh!! My job just had a bit of an outbreak of that. It was pretty much contained to my floor though, but we were all miserable. Everyone got sick. Believe me it was not fun.:eek:

Me and my 2 DD's had this starting Halloween night at WDW. My poor 6 year old started throwing up in Fantasyland at 9:00p. She said it was her worst Halloween ever. Then my other DD and I had it 2 days later; our last day in WDW.

It's horrible, but at least it doesn't last more than 24 hours! :(

I had it two weeks ago, but not from a trip to WDW.

And I'd say that miserable sums it up pretty well.

DH and DS both had it a alittle over a week ago. We are going to Disney next week. Hoping I don't become a victim while I'm there. Too much money, planning, and times goes into these trips.

Myself and both DS's contracted the Norwalk while in WDW in December. Oldest DS threw up in bed our second night there and me and youngest son didn't start till the night we got home. It was terrible, and you know the worst part? I was a CM at a local TDS and when I came home from WDW sick, they didn't believe me. They told me the Norwalk ended months before and that there was no longer a problem. That was the SM. Not too bright.:rolleyes:

Horrible stuff, huh! DS and I apparently had the same thing while at WDW last year. He's was only 7, and threw up in his bed around 1a.m., and I got it the next day. Luckily DW or our 9mo. old didn't get it.

It technically only lasted 24 hours, but I felt like I had been beaten up for the next few days...Very tired, and sore muscles.

Only good thing, when we went back the following month, no one caught it!;)

I was told that Disney Cruise Lines has made various kinds of refunds due to illness on board its ships, so those who became ill at WDW might ask for things like:

Rebates on resort packages with meals. (Fasting is a good idea for this kind of illness)

Refunds for unused Unlimited Magic Pass days due to being ill in bed at the resort.
