Half of Ripsaw Falls bridge....

...was partitioned off last Saturday. Anyone know if it's maintenance or something being added?

Just routine maintenance.

There was a number of problems with the old surface of the bridge. Colors were bad - plus the biggest problem was the strength of the old surface. In fact, the old surface was cracking and falling to pieces.

So, the Toon Bridge is getting a new surfacing. Just like the highway department does to road bridges. The concrete was removed down to the supports, and a new surface has been poured - which looks ALOT better and will last much longer than the old one.

The whole bridge should be back open in the next few days.

You have nailed it. The Toon Bridge project wrapped up last night. Surface work is done and the fence is down, bridge is fully open as of this morning.
