Hi all! New to these boards and loving every minute!

Any thoughts on taking small children (1 & 4) to Blizzard Beach? My husband's brother and his family are visiting us in June. They're staying with us for a week and then we're driving them to Orlando and they're staying in Disney for a week. (Oh the joys of living in Tampa!!! LOL)

Anyway, our kids are 7 & 10 and we love Blizzard Beach. Since we will be making the drive, we want to do something while we're there. We don't want to take in a park as we are planning our WDW vacation in July.
Since we have older children, we've never ventured into the kiddie area at BB. Will the little one's enjoy it?

Thanks!!!

Yes! Yes! Yes! my little ones love it there. They have their own slides and tube slide. There is a castle and it squirts COLD water. My son is 8 and still likes to go there. I have spent many a day at the BB kiddie area. Actually, besides the kiddie area , the only other area's I've seen are the lazy River & Wave pool. My hubby goes with my 17 yo. I'm sure I'll be there this year too. My youngest is 3. I'm hoping someday I can see the rest of the place. We usually only stay 3 or 4 hours tho, 'cause the little ones get tuckerd out.

I hope you get to see the rest of BB someday! It is a blast! We especially love the family ride!
I'm sure the little ones will love it. They live in Illinois so they don't get to have too much fun in the sun!

Last time we were at WDW, my DSs were 1.5, 5 and 7.5. All loved BB. Tyke's Peak (toddler area) was wonderful for our little one. And the older boys enjoyed hanging out there some, too. Enjoy!

:p 2 days and totally nuts!!!:p

What about shade? Are there plenty of areas to keep the little one's out of the sun.
Again, we've never thought about it much as our kids are older and we just slather them with sunscreen.
But our in-laws are very concerned!
