mickeem,

Where did you hear the rumor? Is it a reliable source?:teeth:

Last year on January 26, the AP rates were released through July/August. Here's hoping.......!!!:):):)

Hi!
No, just the rumors that I have read here on the boards. No one specific told me, but in other threads, people have said they heard that Jan 24th they AP rates were due to be announced...
Just wondered if it was true, and if anyone had heard anything yet..
Have a great day!

The current discounts expire this coming Monday. I am crossing my fingers for some new codes. I have been procrastinating making reservations until they come out. If they don't on Monday, I will probably go ahead and reserve a room and see if any come out later. I think I have been to mousesavers 100's of times a day just to see if anything has been updated. haha :)

What are AP rates? I have read this term extensively but never understood what it was in reference to. Thanks.

AP = Annual Pass ticket , a ticket good for 1 year from date of activation.

AP rate = discount given to an AP ADULT ticket holder for a room at a
WDW owned resorts

AP discounts are better than DC (Disney Club) and AAA (Automobile Association
of America).

I hope the above abbreviation definitions help.

AP rates are scheduled to come out on 1/27, but they will not include May. Dates are 2/17 - 4/9.

I asked one of the CM and she was very understanding. She said to call back Monday. I was asking about my upcoming May trip.

I called today and the CM told me that AP rates just for the dates 2/17 to 4/9 will be out in the next few days. They are already in their system but they cannot use them yet. I need them for late April but the CM said it would be a while before the AP rates come out for them.

Oh gosh!!

Does this mean I have to keep telling my MIL not to worry, that he rates will come down. She's flipping out since I told her I booked us at the Poly and AKL Concierge. She's treating.

We just moved to FLorida and purchased AP's. When you say you called to get new rates are you refering to the passholder hotline #? ALso, we will be upgrading to a PAP in May - does that have any effect on rates available to me? Also, out of curosity, how cheap have you seen the deluxes with the AP rate? SOmeone told me they can get as low at $109 / night but that seems too low to me.

Thanks for any info / advice you can give this "newbie" to the AP world :D

Actually, I think the "Florida resident rates" might even be cheaper than the AP rates. My brother-in-law lives in St. Pete and he's always getting amazing deals. Definitely check into that.

Yes, I have seen AKL and WL go as low as $109. My mother-in-law got a $109 rate for WL next month on a AP. :)

I just called AGAIN and spoke to a very nice cm. She said that ap rates for 2\17 ( I think) to 4\9 could be booked on 1/27. She also said that there was a " lead in rate" of $ 174 for a standard view at akl. This could not be booked today but that was the one rate that she saw. Is this a good rate? I thought it sounded pretty high but I don't know. What is the best ap rate anyone has seen at the bc or yc. thanks!

Sounds pretty decent. Aren't these dates peak season???

I guess I'll have to wait another round. We need May 9.

Last year when the AP rates were released in January for dates in June/July/August, was very atypical.

In all the years of waiting for AP rates in the past, the summer rates were usually released in March. I guess they are going back to that schedule again this year.

Last year was unusual with 9/11 and things being extremely slow. I guess we'll just have to wait and see! :):):)
