I have written a letter to Senator Joe Lieberman about Rachel's situation. I think it may be a good time to ask for letters of support to be sent to Senator Lieberman on Rachel's behalf. Anyone who cares to e-mail me (Intlgntlfe@aol.com) can have a copy of the letter to Senator Lieberman that was faxed today, so that you can understand our situation better and write a letter of support.

I'm not quite sure what a letter of support is supposed to say, but if any of you are adept at this and want to draft one that many people can use, that would be wonderful.

Thank you so much.

Having two English teachers in the house sure helps sometimes, so send along that letter. We'll do anything we can to be supportive. Caroline and Roger:D

Sharon, please email the letter/information. The only one who will fight hard for a child is the parents. I know this must be frustrating at times, but keep your chin up & many of us will help fight, too.

I did some digging and I found the Home Page of Senator Lieberman:

http://lieberman.senate.gov/

here's some more contact info:

I also found this bit of info at the same site (notice it says "Connecticut residents will receive a response as soon as possible" so everybody in CT start faxing, e-mailing, and dialing)

Thank you for visiting my web page. Connecticut residents will receive a response as soon as possible. Note: Mail deliveries to the Senate offices in Washington, DC will continue to be delayed because of tighter security measures put in place following the anthrax attack. If you wish to communicate an urgent concern, you may e-mail or call my Washington office. If you have an urgent casework problem, you should call my Hartford office. I appreciate your patience and look forward to hearing from you.

Mods please keep this at the top.

Larry, thank you.

Our family has been so touched by all the e-mails offering to send letters. The weekend is hard because everything seems to stand still...but I want to thank you all for your support. I hope I can return the favor someday. You are all very special people.
