We are going to The Resort at Cocoa Beach at Easter. Has anyone stayed there? How is the beach itself in this area? What is nearby for DD16 & DD17 to do? Any good golf courses in the area? Thanks for any help.
Try posting on the cruise line board. The Disney ships leave from Cape Canerval so a lot of people stay in Cocoa Beach and are familiar with the hotels. You could do a search........
Good luck

Actually, I posted on the cruise line board my question about Cocoa Beach and didn't get any responses. But, I'm looking at the Hilton Oceanfront-I don't know about the hotel you are looking at. sorry can't be of more help.
I'm sorry if I gave you bad advice. I haven't been on the cruise board in a while but when we were planning our cruise last year their were numerous posts about Cocoa Beach hotels. Guess I should have checked recently before I gave that advice......

Hi Travelwoman!
We've never been to Cocoa Beach but we'll be there and staying at The Resort On Cocoa Beach for 1 week commencing March 15th and we're also interested in what the property is like. My cousins from the UK have booked this through their timeshare ownership and from what I've seen and read it looks really nice.;)
It even has it's very own movie theatre too, for those chilly or rainy nights.:)
I hope you don't mind me "hitching" a ride with you on this thread!:D

Actually, jdm, that turned out to be great advice. I checked my thread on the Cruise Line Board and there are responses now! Also, someone gave a link to a great site that has many reviews of hotels on Cocoa Beach. Now, I just need to find out if any of them serve a Thanksgiving Dinner and I can make up my mind!
I'm glad to hear it, you might want to check out Dave from Marietta's site. It's great.

My mother is staying 1 month at the Resort at Cocoa Beach right now. She is in week 2, and with -20+ wind chill in WI tonight, I wish I was there too. When we went to WDW in Oct, we drove over to Cocoa Beach for the day. We stopped at The Resort to check it out. It seemed very nice. The pool is close to the lobby on the West side of the resort, the beach is a short walk from the back door of the resort. There is a nice walkway, with a foot wash area, which is nice after a walk on the beach. We tried to see a condo while we were there, but decided not to wait for a tour. My mom stays in the Penthouse with a friend and really enjoys it. Sorry I can't tell you what attractions are close by. Good luck with your decision.

Dear JWWI, Thanks for the info. Would love to hear about activities offered or resturants that teens would enjoy.
Sammi, Sounds as if The Resort is very nice. Let me know if you get any new info before you leave or share your thoughts when you return!! Thanks.
