We are booked for the magic in June/July 2004 and disembark on July 3rd. It seems our rates are a bit higher that week and it is a possibility that it's because it may be considered a holiday week. Has anyone ever sailed this week? Are there special events planned?

Thanks!

Oh my! I was excited;)

It's going to go fast though! Until the last two months, then it will just feel like 524 days, LOL!

I'm booked on the Magic for the week including July 4, this year. I am paying about 5100 not including any insurance, air, transfers etc. Also have a $200 rebate from Dreams. Would also like to know if this week is more expensive than other summer cruises. 2 adults, DS10, DD4, cat.6

We were on the Wonder for July 4th 2000 & the Magic for July 4th 2001. Both days were special days.

See my 2001 trip report where I talk about both July 4th's.

I found that the trip costs were about the same whether we went the week before, during, or after the 4th. The prices go up around early June and are pretty much the same till mid August.

Of course, early booking discounts vary based on anticipated occupancy.

We were on the Wonder with you in July 2000. That was a great cruise.

We are going to be on the Magic cruise the day after July 4th and if I recall, the rates are the same as the cruise right before ours.

We did the July 6th cruise this past summer because the week before was $300.00 more - DCL told me the rate was higher because of the July 4 holiday.

Howdy, neighbor. Glad to find someone else going with us. I tried starting a thread and it died before it ever got off the ground
