I wonder what will be the next DVC to open? I have heard speculation about the Animal Kingdom Lodge? Any thoughts? :Pinkbounc

Any rumors after Sagamore?????
According to the DVC guide (Dave) at the OKW Member's Update this week, Eagle Pines is still on the table after Saratoga Springs (no mention of Sagamore as a possibility besides on the Concierge Collection ;) )
Saratoga Springs is still scheduled to open in Spring/Summer 2004. It has been suggested that point costs will be possibly be as low as OKW- but probably lower than BWV at any rate. There will be a slide at SSR.
Enjoy!

I would guess the next resort would be Eagle Pines if they get it off the back burner. Would that provide another golf option other than OKW? Perhaps with a greater resort feel instead of condo feel?

Grand Floridan was mentioned by a Guide as a distant possibility. I have several friends currently working for the company and I used to be there myself. I have spoken to them recently and the Grand Floridian represents area for villas such as the DVC.

I wouldn't mind using my points to stay at a Grand Floridian Villa.
I thought there was a concern w/ "frightening" the animals at AKL, so Disney did not want a DVC at that location. does that sound right or familiar to anyone?
I just hope by opening DVC villas in existing resorts does not abolish the "pool hopping" option, as it is a BCV. I like the convenience of a mid-day pool break at GF when I am in MK.

Hmmm..... I guess the same would hold true for the hotel there too, wouldn't it? The disadvantage or a AKL location is how early that park closes. I like the Epcot resort area partly bacause of the nightime activities available in pretty close proximity. Jellyrolls can be lots of fun, as well as a stroll around Epcot.
Our Honeymoon was at the Grand Floridian, so I wouldn't mind gong back there and using points. I like the zero entry pool they have.
We stayed at the GF in May. Where is there space for villas?
