Another of my endless questions about digital cameras...

The camera manual with my C-720 recommends I use Olympus SmartMedia cards. I know they want to sell their brand but does it make any difference which brand I use? Are some brands better than others??? Are there some brands I should stay away from????

Not sure about your particular Olympus model..... but on ours (Olympus d450 zoom) and many other Olympus models, you need to have an OLYMPUS card in order for the Panoramic feature of the camera to work.

You may wish to refer to the Panoramic feature in your manual & see if it is so with yours.

My camera came with a Sundisk compactflash card. I bought a Viking 128 meg card, and it works great in the camera.
