I'm not a great lover of cooking - I do it out of a necessity to eat something more than enjoyment.

I do enjoy all the preperation and the clearing up afterwards but most of the meals I prepare tend to be things that are quick and easy!:)

I love to cook, but wish I was better at it. I am great at baking, but when it comes to the stovetop I am not as good. I would love to take a cooking class and learn about the seasoning, etc.

For the most part, I enjoy cooking. I am horrible at baking, though.

I love to cook, bake and eat. Unfortunately, I don't need the extra calories from baking. And, routine meal preparation can be a drag some days.

I don't enjoy cooking, mostly because of the cleaning up aspect. My husband, on the other hand, loves to cook. That's because he has me to clean up after him. Maybe if I had someone to clean up after me, I would enjoy cooking a little more.:D

Well I am not sure if Hate is the right word, I simply do not enjoy it, nor am I very good at it. But the absolute worst aspect of it is the clean up, now this I HATE!!!

I don't mind cooking except for the fact that I have to make several different meals most nights. We have a meat/potatoe lover, a vegetarian, and someone else who only eats fish and chicken, veges, but no beans

It's enough to drive you crazy trying to prepare meals around here.
My DS who is 15 cooks A LOT, he loves his cooking and so does the rest of the family. He's actually very good at it, better than me. He even cooks for us when we have company:D I don't mind cleaning up.

I love to cook and I love to bake. I wish I had more time to spend pursuing this passion of mine. One of my favorite shows was "Ready, Set, Cook" it inspired me to create many recipes by going into my pantry and selecting things that I thought might go together but were not normally perceived to be together. Sometimes it didn't work out and my DH would ask nicely that I didn't try it again, but usually, he'd tell me to write down what I did so I could reproduce it in the future.

Call me weird, but there was a deli close by my house that made the best sausage tortellini soup. Unfortunately, the owner got a brain tumor and died. I never got her recipe. I spent countless hours tasting this soup in my mind, trying to come up with how she made it. Don't you know... I figured it out! It was every bit as good as hers when I made it the first time. I have since learned, too, what sausage works (i.e. tastes) better in this soup than others.

Yep, I love to cook!

I go through spells on liking to and not liking to. Most of the time I do, but sometimes I just don't want to at all!

Nope. I love to eat, but I'm just as happy letting somebody else do the cooking.

RUDisney, feel like posting that soup recipe on the recipe board? Sounds good!

I like to cook, but here's the problem. I can't think of a single thing I enjoy (well, other than eating) that I want to do every day, several times a day. Cooking for a family gets really old.

I love to cook, I find it a great way to relax (especially with the bottle and glass that usually accompanies me!). I also enjoy trying new recipes and ideas and getting all the ingredients together.

Like Disykat, sausage tortellini soup sounds delicious, if you do have a recipe for it, I'd love to try it please.

Yes, I love to cook. Sometimes I will spend the whole weekend cooking, and then freeze what I cook so we can have home cooked meals during the week. I also love to bake.

My fiance raised 2 boys alone, so he is use to being Mr Mom, so he does most of the cooking and cleaning, he actually enjoys it, I don't. Though the last few months he has been at a 9 to 5 job, and I work 6 to 2, so i am home several hrs before him, so i have been at least starting dinner at night, he gets up with me at 4 amand cleans the house before he goes to work, its not expected, he just likes doing it.

I'm an ok cook, but it takes too long and makes a mess.

I'm just an okay cook. But I do have some things that people really like.

Does anyone really like the clean up afterwards?

I'll try to post the Sausage Tortellini Soup Recipe on the Recipes Board by the end of this week.

Funny story...

I was at my friend's house this weekend and she and I were in the kitchen getting dinner ready. She said that last week her oldest DD asked if she had fun cooking because she did so much of it. Never dawned on her that they had to eat. She just thought it was Mommy's way of playing.

I had a terrible, no good, very bad Friday and never got to post the recipe I had promised for the Sausage Tortellini Soup. I have posted it this morning for your viewing and dining pleasure.

I like to cook if I wasn't a short order cook, or it seems that way. For EVERY meal I cook, I have to cook 3 separate meals. My SO and I don't like the same things (he likes bland, I like rich or spicy), my dd is a picky eater too. Luckily my ds will eat anything I cook.:)

Cooking is okay. I get in these ruts where I feel like I cook the same stuff and I get tired of everything. Now, if I had a bigger kitchen with all the ingredients I could ever want I'm sure I could be the next Emeril! ;)
