Anyone wanna say anything about Bongo's

My girlfriend and I are thinking about going to Fantasmic, then popping over to DTD and eating a Bongo's at around 8:45. This should be enough time fight the crowds leaving MGM and get over to DTD, right?
We've never eaten there, but the menu seems to be a good change of pace from what we'll be eating the rest of the week, plus it looks pretty nice in the pics that we've seen.
Any opinions?

I had the worst service I ever had in a restaurant at Bongos'. After our food arrived (over an hour wait) some of it was cold. I got nothing but shrugs from the waiter and not much more from the manager. We will probably try again some day but that 1 evening was terrible.

Personally I have not eaten there but my sister and BIL ate there over New years week and loved it. The said the food was wonderful and they had a really fun time. They were with a group of around 8-10.

Bill3 - how long ago was your bad experience? If it was a while back, I might try it for myself. If your experience was somewhat recent, I would join you in waiting for better times.

Dbf and I went to Bongo's last March and loved it !! The atmosphere, food and service are great!!! We will definitely return on our upcoming trip.
We went around 7ish and there was about a 30 min wait, but later might be easier. If the weather is nice, ask to sit outside. You'll have a wonderful view of the lake
If you like margaritas, they have some of the best !!!

We've done lunch there several times, tho never dinner. Pretty noisy and the "young/hip" wait staff often spend more time entertaining each other than they do waiting on you. But the food was good and the portions ample. They also have some unusual beer selections

We eat at Bongos everytime we are at Disney. My husband and kids love it. There is usually a cuban band playing on Friday and Saturday nights. It is always fun to listen and watch them play!

We ate there, though we did lunch. We are Spanish and Irish, so by the end of our stay we were craving some spanish food. It was to die for. We ate, ate, and ate and everyone was very attentive and courteous.

Reading all the sayings along the walls, brought back so many memories of my grandparents. I had heard everyone of those sayings (My grandpa's favorite) and it was so nice to be able to share it with my children.

Looking forward to our next eating adventure at Bongos. Yuummy - fried plaintains and flan, here we come.

We eat at Bongo's most trips. Everything has aways been good. No complaints here. :)

My DH and I ate there in mid December. First time at DD. We both thought the food was great and the decor was also very nice. We stopped in there early( about 5:30) so it was not crowded at all. We would definitely eat there again!

I liked the atmosphere, but the food left a lot to be desired. We waited around 30 minutes on a table, and the service was good. I would go again. I would just ask for something different to eat.:)
