Just wondering if anyone had any information on the 2003 Disney Stockholders meeting. Usually the Walt Disney Co.'s stockholders meeting is held in February. There is still not any info. on this meeting on Disney's investor web page.
Usually by now a date and place for the meeting has been scheduled. I wonder if they will forgo a meeting this year to save $. The dividend for 2002 was delayed until January 2003 to save $. Thanks for any responses.

I haven't heard anything either.

I'm hoping it will return to Florida - I will definitely be there!

While I'm sure Eisner would prefer to not have the meeting at all, I don't think that is a legal option.

Last year was Hartford, to celebrate ESPN in nearby Bristol.

Maybe this year's will be in Sydney, to celebrate The Wiggles.

Or an Iowa cornfield to celebrate Signs.

I'd say he's going to try to send it out to China along with HK Disneyland. :)

I wouldn't be surprised if it were held far far away, so far away that no one in their right minds, other than select media, could justify making the trip. Some place like Nome Alaska might weed out the usual complainers at these meetings, which have become much more cival since Eisner took the show on the road several years ago. He can put any spin on it that he wants, but the sole purpose of staging these gathereings so far away from were they had been historically held(Disneyland,WDW)is to diffuse all of the complaints that had littered recent conferences, which often times reminded me of a scene from the Jerry Springer show. These meetings had always been accesible to the average investor. Now-a-days it's nothing more than a big game of hide and seek.
