Key West question.......

Has anyone rented a moped or motorscooter in Key West? If so, did you feel safe or did you feel in danger from careless motorists? Also, is it easy to find parking spaces near the many points of interest? Are rentals near the cruise ship? :cool:

We like the bicycles better. I've seen too many close calls between cars and mopeds. Having said that, yes you can find the rentals at near the dock. Either way, bike or moped, it is better than driving, tour bus or walking if you are just wanting to see a few spots on the island.
If you like the Key Lime pie, the Blond Giraffe is the best.

Hello this is Shirley from The Perfect Gift - Mopeds make is easier to get around Key West - Bikes are great, but you must have strong legs to see everything there is to see - Now I will tell you this if you decide to rent a moped - if you go to Moped Hospital which is at the corner of Truman and Simonton Street - ask for Charlie, who is my hubby's son, he will be more than happy to rent you either - make sure you tell him that his dad recommend you.
