We have done 3 Disney cruises and my dds have been in the 5-7 group all three times. They have enjoyed it but want to do something different next year.Has anyone done any of the all inclusives? Is there a board like this out there? THis board was a tremendous help to us planning our cruises.
We are thinking of going back to DCL in 2004 when both girls will be in the 8-9 group so they will have different activities.

We've never done an all inclusive, but I did a search and came up with this site. http://www.tropictravelonline.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi
Haven't checked it out, but hope it helps.
Good luck!

We've been to Beaches at Turks and Caicos. It has been about 4 years ago. I would say it was similar to the crusie experience. They had four places to eat. You decided where you went every night, there was no set rotation. Our youngest daughter was only 2 at the time so I don't recall much about the kids program. One of the reasons we went there was scuba diving which was included in the all inclusive. I not sure what location you are considering but I will tell you that at the Turks and Caicos Islands there are a few all inclusives resorts but other than that there is not much else on the island. It was also expensive if I recall correctly. If you have any specific questions e-mail me and I will do my best to answer them.

I went to an all inclusive in Jamaica. It was called Couples, so no kids were allowed (we got married there). Before we went, I was checking out many all inclusive resorts, and there seemed to be the most in Jamaica. I know there are at least a few that cater to families. You might check with a local travel agent that can steer you in the right direction.
When I went, 8 years ago, the prices were cheaper than cruises, and included airfare. Also, most don't allow tipping of any kind, as well as all drinks, sports, snorkeling, scuba etc are free. The only extra expenses we had for an entire week were a couple of souvenirs we bought in Ocho Rios, (and the resort provided the transportation free also!)
The main drawback is you only see one place for an entire week, one beach etc. But it was really relaxing!
Good luck in your research!

Hi, try www.carribean-on-line.com and put in the island you want. They have great travel boards over there too. We did Beaches in Jamaica and Turks. It was great for son at that time 11 he was able to roam, daughter was 1.5 and 2.5 - she did not like clubs (she didn't on the cruise either at 3.5) but we did get in room babysitting at night which was nice. We really liked the all inclusive thing. Not a tremendous amount of nightime entertainment, bu the food is good, pools were great, water warm - very relaxing - more so than a cruise IMHO. If you want more specifics email me. Alison
