What significance does it have in relation to the city of Chicago? I got all curious because it's in Chicago.

Cicero is actually a suburb of Chicago. It has always had a reputation of being a 'crime' town but they recently had the mayor, police chief and some other high ranking officials get busted for some insurance scam or something.

Pop! SIX! Squiiish, Uh-huh
Cicero, Lifschitz!
I just whipped out the soundtrack! I can't wait to see this; I have a feeling it's going to thrill me more than the B'way version -Bebe or no Bebe. :) Amend that...the DANCING...wow....the movie has big shoes to fill.:)

lilboo....you have to go see it if you're a fan of the show -- you will not be disappointed! The "Cell Block Tango" number is amazing in the movie -- as was Queen Latifah as Mama Morton in "When You're Good to Mama" ...she really was fantastic in the role.
I know now what I want for my birthday....Catherine Zeta-Jones! LOL! Wow is she one hot Velma Kelly! :smooth: and this is coming from someone who saw the stage version of the Chicago starring his 1980's dream girlfriend Deborah Gibson as Velma

I love this movie! The soundtrack is coming out tomorrow.
I thought that Cicero is where Velma committed the crime.
Joe -- Debra Gibson as Velma? Roxie, maybe. But, I'll take your word for it.

It is, but I thought it might have some significance outside of the movie. :)

Wow, I'm glad someone cleared that up. I had no idea what Cicero was.
I agree, it was an amazing movie. I liked it better than the stage version.
