For those of you who have stayed here, we reservered a deluxe room for our stay. I have read that it can be very noisy in some of the rooms, especially when the parks let out.
Can anyone recommend a room or area of the hotel that is quieter?
Also, I have been reading Laughingplace and Mouseplanet for restaurant reviews, but can anyone tell me what are some of the places that may be within walking distance of the CandyCane? I think I read there was a Subway across the street??
Thanks and have a great Disney day.

I have yet to stay in a Candy Cane room that had a "noise problem" .
One time we stayed in the end room (right on the street) and I don't recall street noise or even the bus that stops right outside being a problem. But then again we were probably deep into Disney Fatigue Induced Deep Sleep (DFIDS).

Just request a room away from the street. Down the road a block or sow is a Tony Roma's and a Denny's and an IHOP. Across the intersection is the Jolly Roger Coffee Shop. And around the corner and down the street is Tagerine Cafe at the Anabella Hotel and a place called Tiffy's that I have never been too.

Yes, there is a Subway across the street.
Request a room away from the street and on the 2nd floor. We had a 1st floor room last summer and the people above us were a little loud.

And across the street from Tiffy's, is a CoCo's that was recommended to us for Family dining and we had an excellent lunch.
Also Downtown Disney starts about 40 ft from the DL entrance and DCA entrance. We really like the food we ordered off the lunch menu at La Brea Bakery 2 of the grilled Panini sandwich's Dh had one with Italian meats w a olive spreadand I had the Turkey and Swiss w Avacodo, yummy, while Dd ordered 3 mini pastry in the bakery proper.

The CCI was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! The Deluxe rooms are fantastic!!! THe rooms are huge. THe down comforters really put this one over the top. This is a great place to stay. Fair price. Excellent "continental" breakfast!!!!!! We can hardly wait to go back. We had rooms in teh back and never ever had a noise problem. THe staff is really professional and thoughtful. You will be happy here.

I made a reservation for the Candy Cane Inn through their website for 5 days in February that came to $471 total!! $82 a night. For a deluxe 2 queen room. I was originally looking for something close to LAX airport but didn't see anything worth it. Do you think I did good? Are there any codes or discounts that I could still take advantage of? Thanks for the info. and I hope this helps someone.

I'm paying $119.00/night for the same room, but we are going during Easter.
I was quoted $132 from my AAA here in MA.
Have fun and post a good trip report so I can learn all about DL.

The least I payed for a room at the Candy Cane in was $69 and that was a few years ago. They seem to be right around the $79 mark now so $82 isn't bad.
