Perhaps someone on this board will know...during our upcoming trip, we'll be meeting a semi-local friend (he'll be driving a couple of hours) and his daughter, at this point for a meal and a visit. However, we have two adult Park Hoppers from our last visit, each with one day left on them. Since we'll have APs, we won't be needing them this trip, and we'd like to offer them to our friend and his little girl so that they can join us for a day in the parks and we can spend more time with them. Has anyone had any experience with a child using an adult pass, and are there any potential problems that we might run into with this?

Thanks!

It will not be any problem for the girl to use the adult pass... now, if it were an adult trying to use a kid's pass, that would be a different story.

We have had comp tickets, good for a one day hopper, and it was an adult hopper, and my 8 year old used it with no problems.

If they are multi-day passes that have already been used, there might be a problem. Passes say on the back that they are non-transferrable and are to be used by the same person on any and all days. You would not have bought an adult pass for a child to be the original user of, so it might be pretty obvious that the pass is not being used by the same person who used the other days.

If a child using the last day of an adult hopper was hassled at the gate, that would be something indeed. Since a child using an adult admission basically saves money for the company, it would be a case of a Disney CM irritating guests and going against their own interests, all in the name of a policy that is barely enforceable anyway (if two adults were walking in with those tickets, the CM would never be the wiser).

If you try this, please report back on how it turns out. I would be very surprised to see a CM raise a hassle over something like this.

Don't worry about it, let the girl use the pass... she will slip it through the slot at the turnstile, and go in... no one will even pay any attention to whether it is an adult pass, or a kids, as long as it goes through. Also, who's to say she isn't a small 10 year old?
