saturday day 2 no rain insight weather beautiful, check-out of renaissance hotel. We had breakfast at Ponderosa. We arrived at Animal Kingdom around 11. DH decided DS needed new sunglasses so we bought them at the booth going into entrance. DH left 35mm camera in car so ran back for it. While DS and I were waiting for DH Donald Duck,Goofy, & Pluto surprised us by tapping on my DS shoulder. Everyone had a good laugh. DH showed up just in time for pictures. First we headed for It's tough to be a bug DH is still talking about the exterminator. Next was the safari, animals all over the place, giraffes right next to us eating in the trees. 3rd was the conservation center pictures and autographs with pocohantas(DS is 9 and completely red being hugged by pocohantas) and rafiki. Then over to Asia,Flights of Wonder was good DH got some good pictures of the birds. I cannot believe how we didn't have to use fastpass for anything by now. wait time at the most was 15-30 minutes for anything. The Maharajah jungle trek the tigers came right up to the window and peered out at everyone. Kali River Rapids had no line so I begged DH please he didn't want to get wet. He got soaked!! Finally the festival of the Lion King in one of the travel books said a must see and yes I agree very good show. Last but not least Dinner at Rain Forest Cafe only waited 10 mins at the most. Food ok Atmosphere great a little cool because we were still damp from rapid ride.

Sounds like a dream vacation. No crowds, short lines. A Disney dream come true.

Everyday was great this year. I can't wait for next year same time but I think I will relax a little bit more. I needed a vacation after the vacation.

I love AK - we spent over an hour watching the tigers and got some incredible pictures. We also got soaked on Kali but we went on three times in a row without getting off! Off to the next day - thanks for posting this. We are always exhausted at the end of our trips, but we just can't seem to slow down!
