Any teens willing to share thoughts about Junkanoo?

I've signed up my son (17) and his best friend (16) for this on our cruise next month and they would like some more info. Was it fun? Were there plenty of girls? What kind of music? Anything you can share will be a big help. Thanks in advance.

My 13 year old son did the Junkanoo Jam last August and enjoyed it. The music was the "in" teen music. There were about the same number of girls to boys.

He did have one suggestion. Eat a little before you go. You do get snacks on the Jam (pretzels and punch). He was hungry when he got back to the ship.

It is on a Catamaran so don't eat a lot before the Jam if you get sick easily on the water.

My son (15) went on it in September. He liked it, but then, he usually likes anyplace where we, his parents, are NOT!! The cruise was not too full of kids when we went because we went after school started. But, I will ask him and see if he will give his opinion in more detail. But what he likes and what your kids like may be different. We are returning for an April cruise and yes, he will be looking for the girls too! I know he wants to do the Junkanoo again in April.
