What is the best concierge service for a family of 4 with 2 kids?

The best concierge on property is the CR 14th floor. It s also pretty pricey. I don't think any other concierge even compares to it though.

I would agree with Demosthenes about the CR 14th floor being the best.

However, I would vote for the Poly when traveling with kids. They are much more kid friendly in that there are a lot of food choices for them.

Yacht Club gets my vote. My son loves them and they have always been very interested in his day.

How old are the kids?

You can't beat SAB!!!!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :p

We stayed at the Poly conceirge in October with our 3 year old DD and it was wonderful. Very kid friendly and a great location.

I would say without a doubt, the Grand Floridian. But that is almost like asking: what is youor favorite restaurant. Everyone has their favorite because of his or her tastes and idea of what it should be. I know that there have been some posts about the GF RPC not being worth the money but they are all expensive, and for what I pay for a room there I am very satisfied

mickeyboy16,

my son is 11. we have stayed at the YC Concierge every May for the past 6 years. he adores Stormalong Bay, the view of Boardwalk at night and the LOCATION!!!! your 16 year old will probably be more interested in MGM and EPCOT. the bus ride to AK is really quick from YC too. we also enjoy being able to walk to MGM< EPCOT and the MiniGolf!!!!

whatever you choose I hope it is as magical for you as it has been for us all these years. we are going in January for a brief 5 day getaway just because we miss it so!:D :Pinkbounc :) :bounce:

..and I will put my vote in for the Grand! Once again, I've just returned from a stay in concierge there, and the CM's were as wonderful, gracious and efficient as always.

I'd like to ask of all the previous posters--how many of you ahve stayed concierge anywhere other than wher eyou suggested? (I know IMBE has)

I have stayed concierge at the GF, BWI, Poly, AKL, and YC.

Of these for kids I'd say that Polynesian is the best, although I loved the AKL the best overall. The Poly really caters to familes, and the location is great if you have younger kids and will be spending time in the MK. Plus the rooms are large.

I didn't like the concierge at the GF at all, although I enjoyed a non-concierge stay there, but don't think it's worth a significantly higher amount of money than the other resorts.

I was so very, very pleasantly suprised by how much I loved the Polynesian, I truly didn't expect to like it as much.

The BWI was friendly, but just not very kid oriented, same goes for the YC, althoughs ervice there was hot and cold, and a bit stuffy IMHO.

Tha AKL was friendly, drop dead gorgeous (breath taking), and just wonderful. It is very kid friendly as well, and much les expensive than the Poly if cost is at all a factor. The rooms are not nearly as large as the Poly though.

We booked concierge there and now can't wait to go back. I have only had concierge here so I can't offer you much help but the GF was our favorite until now. AKL won us over hands down.

Do you mind if I ask what exactly Concierge accomodations are? What are the perks and approx how much more does it cost?

We stayed @ WL conceirge in May/June '02 and gotit for a steal at check in. I learned that trick on the boards. If you book before you go it can be up to $100 extra, we paid only $25-$30/night by asking at checkin. We will take better advantage of it next time since we know what it has to offer. Breakfast items, snacks, wine and cheese, desserts, sodas, juices, appetizers etc.... The CM's also do your priority seating for you. Loved our chocolates on our pillows @turn down.:)

We have been coming to WDW for the past 30 years... and have stayed at all the conceirge floors...

We always factor in the time of the year and the age of the kids we are bringing along...

for example small kids (2-8) the Poly is close to the MK and they seem to like the food...in the summer you can bring the little ones back to the room for their afternoon nap and get them out of the sun

older kids (teens) who like EPCOT & MGM like the Y&BC in the summer for the pool....

Depends on your family tastes...

Exactly what is it about the Poly concierge that makes it so kid friendly? What are the foods that the kids will like more than the other concierge locations? I am deciding between Poly concierge and AKL concierge for DD5 and myself in August. I understand about the location...now I was wondering specifics about the food, etc.

Thanks!:D
