Intro

Hello fellows DISers and welcome to my new TR !!

We had planned this trip last year when I found out I was having surgery on my ankle. We moved our trip from Thanksgiving to January because I thought I would still be in a cast on Thanksgiving. But I got my cast off on Halloween and after a couple of days, DH said to book something for Thanksgiving, so we rescheduled that trip. I used points for this January trip that I couldn't move or roll over, so we "had" to take that trip, too. The kids were out of school also, so we might as well go, right ?? RIGHT !!

For those of you that don't know, on July 23, I was coming down the stairs at our house and as I was descending, the dog was at the front window barking at something and my focus shifted from the stairs and onto whatever was causing the dog to spaz out. And I am not sure exactly what happened, but I fell down the remaining stairs injuring my left ankle very badly.

I had surgery September 20. It is a very painful surgery and it is VERY slow to heal. After six months, I have come a long way in the healing process and I can walk unassisted now. But walking 8-10 miles a day was out of the question. So we rented a scooter - again. It has all been so horrible. So I was happy to be getting another trip to Disney to cheer me up. So with my scooter rental and a bottle of pain pills, we were off !!

I named this the Final Chapter because I hope this will be that last time I have to rent a scooter. We go back in April so we will see how far I progress then !!

SO. Let me finally get down to introductions and trip details.

When: January 17-20, 2013

Where: Boardwalk Resort

Who: Me, Scooter Mom extraordinaire 44 year old Irrigation Designer and lover (aka crazy freak) of all things Disney.

DH my wonderful husband of almost 15 years. In upper management at a local Chemical Company. He pretends to just tolerate my Disney obsession, but I think he has as much fun as we do.

I don't think I've read one of your reports before, but I'll start with this one! How awful about your ankle. I'm glad that it is healing up and hopefully you won't need a scooter again. I can't wait to read all about your trip :)

Hey Rachel !!! We had some good food. I was thinking about doing a dining review, but sine most of our stuff was posted on the live thread, I though it might be redundant. I dunno ....

Day 1 – Part One

DH likes to drive at night, so we left really early – like at 4 AM. We had the car all packed the night before, so DH just woke us up and we all piled into the car and tried to go back to sleep. The kids were pretty successful, but I never sleep well in the car. We stopped and ate at Waffle House and after several hours, we started seeing signs that told us we were getting closer.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC05959.jpg

And then finally we could see the sign in the distance

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC05960.jpg

DH was happy.

DS was happy.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC05953.jpg

DD not in a picture taking mood.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC05954.jpg

I wasn’t either, but I was happy to see these signs !!

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC05962.jpg

And it wasn’t long before we were pulling in here …

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC05963.jpg

We parked and headed in to check things out. I went to check in while DH took photos.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC05971.jpg

They said they had a room ready and we were so happy. We were in room number:

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06052.jpg

Which was at the VERY end of a VERY long hallway. I was glad I had the scooter because if I had to walk that every day with my sore ankle, there would have been some complaining. But since I had the scooter, it was fine. DD did complain about how far it was. I will say that if I got assigned a room in this area again, I would ask to be moved. Because it was far. We even measured it on my pedometer app on my iPhone. It said it was .175 miles. Which is a little over the length of three football fields. It was pretty long haul at the end of the day. The good thing was that it was very quiet.

Anyway, we all grabbed something from the car and headed to the room.

The scooter came in handy for transporting stuff. :moped:

I read the reviews !! There aren't that many though, are there. I do feel like the live thread had kind of stolen the thunder a little bit for those that do the reviews. But I love that live thread, though. I check it every day. Food porn 24/7 baby !!

My reviews are pretty boring. We always eat that same things at the same places. Plus, I am not so good with the descriptions. I am all like - We went here - we ate this - it was good. It gives me another way to relive my trip, so I might start one.

It definitely has stolen the thunder! I like reading it too but I sometimes forget to read it everyday. I am like you too, I can't remember my exact things. I don't have a high class food liking so I feel like my food is blah!

Nice update. I see your son is in his usual spot, this time awake:)

I feel like my food is blah, too sometimes. I not the foodie I should be I guess. Some of those people can really deliver a dining review. I have my favorites. The best one ever was by this guy ChefMickey123. Best dining review ever !!! Destructsean has one going that is really fun to read. I am sure you have seen that one.

Yes - DS sleeps alot. He is growing boy after all. If I only I could get half as much sleep as he does ...

Hey Sarah !!! Thanks for coming over !!

I just love the Boardwalk. You are so close to everything and the kids love the pool. I guess they only thing we didn't like was being waaaaayyyy down at the end. Our room was awesome though and really quiet. We just LOVED it. So excited about BLT in April though !!

Didn't your sister start her CP just recently ?? I hope she is getting settled and that she is enjoying herself.

Our view was of the parking lot, but we were able to squeeze in one more night because the points were so much less. I would have loved to have a Boardwalk view. I bet that was amazing !! Regardless of how far down that hallway we were, it is still and incredible location. We love it there !!

I will have to go over check your PTR out !!!

I love the Boardwalk rooms. I decided I was going to paint my bathroom at home the same color as the bathroom at BW. I still might.

Yeah, that scooter crapped out halfway and we had to push it back. DD helped me though and there is this brake thingy you can release that makes it roll easier.

Day 1 – Part Three

When we checked in, it was nice and warm outside. In the mid 70’s. Just a gorgeous day. DD was hungry and wanted some nachos from the Mexico CS, so we got unpacked and head over towards Epcot.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC05996.jpg

ESPN had a corn hole game set up outside and DD, DS and DH had some fun with it.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC05998.jpg

I was probably telling DS to pull his pants up. No one wants to see your underwear. Now now – not ever. I will never understand why young men find this is a good look. Because it just isn’t and it makes you look like a moron. This trend has stuck around FAR too long.

Although the day started out warm and sunny, it was quickly turning cold and windy. And we were all regretting leaving our jackets back in the room. Instead of going all of the way back, we continued towards Mexico – and some food !!

OH !! I have to tell you about this. Disney’s promotion this year is Limited Time Magic. And for the week we were there it was:

For one week only, January 14-20, there will be a magical Winter Wonderland location with falling snow where you and your family can meet and take photos with some of your favorite Disney characters. It’s an all new character greeting location in the Canada Pavilion. Times for the Winter Wonderland location at Epcot are: 10:30 a.m. – 2:10 p.m. 3:05 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

Here’s a photo.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06010.jpg

I know it isn’t a great photo, but I thought this was really lame. Just Chip and Dale, Daisy and Donald dressed up in their winter outfits. I guess if you are really into the characters and their different outfits, it would be exciting. But we didn’t think it was all that magical. Just a backdrop and characters. The line was pretty long for it though, so we didn’t bother. DS took that photo and these as well

DH had run to get fast passes for the new Test Track while the kids and I went here:

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06022.jpg

To get some lunch.

The park was really crowded and it stayed crowded our whole trip. So I guess the MLK weekend is another popular time to visit WDW. It didn’t bother us too much though. We know how to work the crowds. Anyway, back to the food.

The kids snagged a table while I ordered.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06027.jpg

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06031.jpg

We were on the Disney Dining Plan and for this meal we just used 2 counter service credits. DH got back with Test Track FP’s just in time to eat.

He and I shared the nachos.

Nachos - corn tortilla chips with ground beef, nacho cheese, fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, black beans, and sour cream $9.99

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06028.jpg

We really enjoyed these. They had some spice to them and lots of flavor.

And we had plenty to eat.

The kids shared the nachos with just cheese

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06029.jpg

We had two orders of churros for dessert.

Churritos - Churritos with milk caramel $3.99

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06030.jpg

We enjoyed our meal here and it was everything we expected it to be. I may have needed a zantac later on in the day because of the nachos but they were worth it.

MMmmmmm...Nachos and churros. *drool*

How funny that you had to confiscate the key to the scooter! I saw the pic of your DD on the scooter, and thought to myself, oh she is going to be the scooter stealer this time. Then I read the bit a bout the keys. LOL!

I will agree, the Limited Time Magic was lame. Selfishly I am happy that this one and the Lost Friends one were not any better than they were. I was sad I was missing out.

The scooter came in handy for transporting stuff. :moped:

I know how handy our double stroller was for that task, so I can only imagine how nice it would be to have a motorized method of transport! :moped: :rotfl:

I eventually had to hide the key from them. They kept playing with it and taking off down the hallway on it. So every time I wasnt using it, I took the key with me.

When I was that age, I guarantee I'd have been doing the same thing!!!

There's a good chance the scooter might have been confiscated by Disney security or something. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

DD was hungry and wanted some nachos from the Mexico CS, so we got unpacked and head over towards Epcot.

After reading your highly accurate description, I'm craving some nachos from the Mexico CS. The nachos and churritos are always a nice meal and/or snack! :thumbsup2

I know it isnt a great photo, but I thought this was really lame.

I kind of feel that way about most of the Limited Time Magic stuff I've seen. None of it has really just made me feel excited and seemed like something that just isn't a "can't miss." It all seems just a little bit forced, like they're trying too hard, but can't come up with anything any better.

Those nachos were good !! If it wasn't so chilly that day, I would have had a margarita to go with it.

Seriously, it was their favorite ride. Every time I got OUT of the scooter, they were on it. I was afraid they were going to hurt someone.

It was lame. You didn't miss a thing. I might have done it if the line wasn't so long. It was crazy busy that weekend. A solid 8-9 on crowds. Seriously, it was nuts.

That would have been tragic for sure.

Yeah, it was kinda lame. I guess budget is a factor. They need to step up their game with that stuff.

Day One – Part Four

After eating, it was starting to get really chilly so we headed to Mouse Gear to see if they had anything warm.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06033.jpg

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06034.jpg

They had lots of warm stuff to wear, but the only bad part was everything was $60. I decided I wasn’t THAT cold. DD wanted to ride Figment, so we went over to do that.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/September%20Disney%202012/Day%204/DSC04515.jpg

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/April%202012/19-journey-into-imagination-with-figmentjpg_920-1.jpg

Then we went over to ride Spaceship Earth

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/April%202012/spaceship-earth-sign-400.jpg

As we were coming out of that ride, it had started raining and of course I left the ponchos back in the room. I did not earn any Girl Scout honors on this day, that was for sure. So we ducked into Innoventions.

The kids saw Sum of all Thrills and had to do it.

After that, it was time for our Test Track fast passes. It was even colder once we got back outside. We headed over to Test Track. The new and improved Test Track.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/Test_Track_attraction_sign.jpg

DD loves this ride and she was so excited to ride it after it had been down for refurb for so long.

Even in the fast pass line, you had the chance to design your own vehicle.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/images1.jpg

We moved through there pretty fast and it was great not having the preshow. In no time we were boarding our car.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/test-track-1000.jpg

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/images2.jpg

And we were off ……

A lot of Disney purists hate the change. But we really liked it. It was very sleek and fun. Is it better that the old ride ??? Not really. But it is just as fun and it isn’t any worse in my opinion. We rode again in the single rider line. DD LOVED it !!

They had some fun photos you could take and e-mail to yourself.

After Test Track, we headed back towards the Boardwalk. We saw the Tremaines with NO line.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06049.jpg

DD didn’t want to see them, so we just snapped a photo as we walked by.

Back at the Boardwalk

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06050.jpg

We headed up to the room and back down the LONG hallway.

We could see Tower of Terror from our balcony.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06051.jpg

We all got dressed in some warmer clothes and headed over to Beaches and Cream to have dinner.

I am here! We have to make a plan to be there at the same time sometime this year. We're always missing one another by a day or two. I'm seriously looking into that cruise too. We are taking out the calendar later tonight (yeah, we stay up really late) and we're going to plan out the year. I hope it will include cross country to Dland with a day in Las Vegas. A cruise on DCL (maybe two 4 and 7 night if possible), and a few trips to WDW. I have one booked with free dining, but I'm not sure if I'm gonna keep it.

Anyway, the Boardwalk is one place I've never stayed. I'd like to try it, at least for a couple of days on a shorter trip. I love the location and the look of the place. The lamps are so cute. My mom would love those. (She collects tea cups) The furniture detail is cute too. A kitchen is a nice thing to have at WDW!

Test Track ~ I'm one of the Disney purists. (Is that the word you used?) I liked the old ride better. I like a couple of things about the new one, but overall the ride and the stuff seen on the ride I liked better before.

Oh gosh. You told me it was busy while you were there. Now I believe you because I see people ON Figment. :rotfl2:

YAY, you are here !! Hey Tammy !!! I would love it if you guys were on that cruise. It would be so nice to have other adults to hang with and my kids would be in heaven with yours since they are the same age. I really want to go to Disneyland and so does DD. DH wants to do the Alaska cruise, so maybe we can combine those in a trip someday.

I really LOVE the Boardwalk. I just love anything from the turn of the century to 1920's. I find that era so appealing. We have stayed there twice and we have absolutely loved it both times. It is so amazing being so close to Epcot. I am going to try to snag a summer trip and get into Beach Club if I can. Got to make good use of the unlimited water park option we have on our annual passes this year, so we NEED a summer trip !!

Yes, that was the word I used and I thought about you when I typed it. My bestie from high school (Pixie Princess here on the Dis) falls into the category, too. Disney purist. Which is fine, I understand it. There are things I miss from old ride, but the one thing I don't miss is the pre-show. That one and the one on Dinosaur are just sooo boring to me.

Oh gosh. You told me it was busy while you were there. Now I believe you because I see people ON Figment. :rotfl2:

LOL. I "borrowed" that photo from the internet. But it was crazy busy. Much more crowded than we expected. We manage the crowds pretty well though, so it didn't bother us.

Day 1 – Part Five

When I last left off, we were headed to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club for dinner. I had not planned on this table service because I didn’t know when we would arrive on this day, but we definitely got to Disney early enough to get some meals in. So we were trying to stretch out our credits the best we could. I had planned on us eating breakfast at Kouzzina the next morning, but because the kids wanted to eat at Beaches and Cream so bad, I ended up cancelling it.

So, we bundled up and headed over to Beach Club.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06063.jpg

There was a cold front coming in with a vengeance and the wind was really cold.

We finally arrived at our destination and checked in at the podium. Beaches and Cream is a table service restaurant, but does not take reservations. We were there about 5:30 PM, so we were seated right away. I understand that the wait can get quite long if you don’t get there early.

A burger

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06074.jpg

Since DD is allergic to nuts, we had the manager come out and talk to us. He was very kind and accommodating. DD wanted mac and cheese and I swear they went over to Cape May to get it because DD said it tasted exactly like Cape May’s mac and cheese.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06075.jpg

She loved this !!

DH and I split a burger

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06073.jpg

It came out already cut in half for us. It was a good burger.

For dessert, DD had the kids sundae.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06076.jpg

They had to open a new bucket of ice cream and use a clean scoop to avoid any cross contamination with nuts. We really appreciated this effort on their part.

DH and I split the Milky Way Sundae

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06077.jpg

This was sooooooo good. The combination of the chocolate, white chocolate and caramel was so amazing. And it came with a snack size Milky Way bar in it.

Someone ordered the kitchen sink.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06078.jpg

Our service here was outstanding. Our waitress only charged us for the child’s portion of the macaroni, so she let us know that it would be a better value if we paid OOP for her meal and saved a TS credit for later. We saw the wisdom in this and did exactly that. We tipped well and went over the Beach Club Marketplace to look around.

I just love all of these old outfits they have framed here.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06079.jpg

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06080.jpg

We didn’t buy anything and headed back to the Boardwalk and looked through their gift shop there. DD traded vinylmations and got a much coveted Dug one.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06081.jpg

And then we headed back up the elevator and down the long hallway to the room. We settled in for bed and everyone was pretty much out by 9 PM.

We didn't. The line was all the way to the end of the bridge. And we didn't have an ADR. It is getting mixed reviews and there isn't anything on the menu I think the kids would like.

It was crazy crowded the day we went to MK. It was hard to even take decent photos because there were so many people around. MK was our last day, so you will have to hang around and see :-)

Day 2- Part 1

I had planned on going to Animal Kingdom on this day, but I wasn’t feeling it. So I asked the kids what they wanted to do and they wanted to go to Downtown Disney. They had gift cards from Christmas burning a hole in their pockets and wanted to spend some money. So that is what we did. This day was supposed to be cooler, so we dressed accordingly and headed out. We drove over and parked by the Marketplace.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/downtown-disney-sign.jpg

I need to apologize for most of the photos after this. Apparently, there was a smudge on the camera lens that I didn’t notice all day so some of them are a little hazy. I realized at some point that I needed to clean it, but I am not sure exactly when.

DD wanted to go straight to the Lego store. She loves the new Friends line they have for girls and wanted to get some of those.

DH and DS went over to Goofy’s Candy Company because DS wanted to buy some candy. DD and I went to World of Disney.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/November%202012/Day%201/DSC05286.jpg

She didn’t get anything, but I got some pajamas.

I didn’t get a picture of them, but I got a DVC discount, so they weren’t too pricey. I hate to try things on at stores, so I just went by the size on the tag and hoped that they fit. Once I got all of the way home, I realized the shirt was the right size, but the pants were actually a smaller size and they had been mismatched. I was able to find the receipt and called the number in the receipt and the CM on the phone was amazingly helpful. She e-mailed me a label that I took to a local UPS store. They gave me a free box to put the pajamas in and off they went. I haven’t received the replacement yet, but the whole process was very easy and I expect to get them in a day or two. So if this ever happens to you, call them up. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was and how friendly they were about me asking for a replacement.

We went to Once Upon a Toy as well, but we didn’t buy anything there.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/Once-Upon-a-Toy-Store.jpg

After that, we met up with DH and DS. DS had gotten a slushie. DH had the camera, so he took some photos like a good disser’s spouse should

So I had to scroll real fast by the TT stuff. I'm trying to remain as "in the dark" as I can of the refurb. Trying to keep it as much of a surprise as possible for the next trip...whenever that may be.

That's great you were able to get seated right away at Beaches and Cream. We tried to go in Sept. and I waited until what I thought would be more of an off time. Nope 45 minute wait. Of course the fact that it was as hot as the sun outside probably makes no time an "off" time at an ice cream shop. LOL!

That Dug Vinylmation is too cute! The word on the street is they are cutting back on trading opportunities for them in the parks and resorts. Such a shame.

You'll have to get your DD to explain this whole Lego Friends thing. I see the "shows" on the Disney Channel and I just don't get it. I mean I get the whole "product for girls" thing, and I even get tying in an animated show, but the show seems so random and disjointed.

DS has changed since Thanksgiving. You haven't found that magic growth stopping potion either, huh?

I think we've all had to have the "am I cold enough to spend $60" moment at Disney! (For me, on our most recent trip, the answer was yes!)

Your nachos look really good! We've never had them there, but that's a great snack idea!

So I had to scroll real fast by the TT stuff. I'm trying to remain as "in the dark" as I can of the refurb. Trying to keep it as much of a surprise as possible for the next trip...whenever that may be.

OK. I am interested to see what you think of it. Being the Disney purist you are - I am guessing you won't like it. But we thought it was really cool. We go back March 31-April 5, you know ...if you are planning another trip. Also, we need to do a summer trip and use our water park option on our DVC AP's. Thank you so much for telling me about that deal. It was the best deal EVER !!!

That's great you were able to get seated right away at Beaches and Cream. We tried to go in Sept. and I waited until what I thought would be more of an off time. Nope 45 minute wait. Of course the fact that it was as hot as the sun outside probably makes no time an "off" time at an ice cream shop. LOL!

We have always had good luck getting in there. We always go early for dinner like 4:30 or 5:00 PM. We LOVE it there and that Milky Way sundae is to DIE for !! But I know ice cream is touch and go with you, so ......

That Dug Vinylmation is too cute! The word on the street is they are cutting back on trading opportunities for them in the parks and resorts. Such a shame.

We have found that they don't have as many boxes as before. And when we go back to trade at a place we traded at before, they don't have a box there any more. But they can always tell us where to find a box we can trade from.

You'll have to get your DD to explain this whole Lego Friends thing. I see the "shows" on the Disney Channel and I just don't get it. I mean I get the whole "product for girls" thing, and I even get tying in an animated show, but the show seems so random and disjointed.

She likes the Lego sets, I don't know that she has seen the show.

DS has changed since Thanksgiving. You haven't found that magic growth stopping potion either, huh?

No and just you wait ..... I will be posting a photo that will blow your mind .......

I think we've all had to have the "am I cold enough to spend $60" moment at Disney! (For me, on our most recent trip, the answer was yes!)

I was pretty chilly, but I wasn't THAT cold. I knew I had my hoodie back in the room and that it wasn't far. That helped me from spending the money, too.

Your nachos look really good! We've never had them there, but that's a great snack idea!

We made a complete meal out one serving - DH and I shared it.

Goofy's Candy Company.. :cloud9:

I know ..... it is difficult not to go crazy in there

Tricia loves all the new Lego friends ... I haven't seen the tree house..like it !

I think it is great that they finally have things more girl oriented. I loved Legos when I was younger and I have spent many hours with my kids building and playing.

Thanks !!!

I AM HERE!!!!!

I wish we had your kind of drive to Disney. Nice and quick…well kinda!

Dying over your pictures of the Boardwalk. I NEEED TO STAY THERE.

Your room looks very nice!

I heard that limited time magic thing was awful. Seemed really stupid.

Those nachos look heavenly!

I have heard mixed reviews about Test Track. I can’t wait to try it though.

Your food at Beaches & Cream looks amazing. Noms.

A MILKY WAY SUNDAE?! Why didn’t I know about this?!?!?!?

We loved it !! Well..... after the LONG walk down the LONG hallway.

All caught up!

The only thing I don't like about the Boardwalk are those long halls, but I do like your room location. I think the standard view rooms are such a bargain and that's an awesome view of ToT!

It looks so warm out with that sunshine! To bad it was chilly.

I agree that WPE is a wonderful deal on the dining plan. Your Beach and Cream burger and ice cream looks pretty darn good, too!

Enjoying your trip so far.

A lot of Disney purists hate the change. But we really liked it. It was very sleek and fun. Is it better that the old ride ??? Not really. But it is just as fun and it isn’t any worse in my opinion. We rode again in the single rider line. DD LOVED it !!

I'm very opinionated about this one... I just haven't got there yet in my TR. :rolleyes1

I really do like the changes, but I like the changes to the queue and pre-show area more than I like the changes on the ride if that makes any sense. The updates to the ride part itself fell a little flat to me. Not necessarily worse, but also not really an improvement. :confused3

Did you ever get a chance to ride it Standby? The design part is a lot more involved in the Standby line than it is in FP.

Beaches and Cream is one of the restaurants that is near the top of my Disney World Bucket List. I really don't have a good reason for having never been there, other than it just hasn't been really convenient for our plans. One of these days...

I'm glad they were so good about the nut allergy and the server took good care of you. Especially with the advice about OOP vs. Dining plan.

Bacon wrapped meatloaf... wow. Bacon is like the chocolate of meats. It makes everything better. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I knew they probably wouldn't change the ride track. But I like how it is rethemed.

It was insanely busy when we were there, so we only rode it with FP's or single rider.

After our delicious lunch at Wolfgang Puck Express, DD wanted to ride the carousel, so she did that.

Here’s the Birth Certificate

After that, we decided to head over to Magic Kingdom.

Just as we arrived, it started to rain. And who has two thumbs and left the ponchos back at the room ?? This girl !! Luckily for us, it didn’t rain heavily, but it was a heavy mist for the good part of an hour or so.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06130.jpg

So we scooted over to Tomorrowland and got a FP for Space Mountain.

Then we rode the Peoplemover.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06308.jpg

Then DD wanted to ride the teacups, so she and DH did that while DS and I waited.

What?!? I'm not a purist, just really opinionated. There are some things one just doesn't mess with -like putting Toy Story characters on IASW. That's just ridiculous. They don't belong..cross promote elsewhere. TT is not one of those things however. I loved all the Tron-esque concept art, so I'm pretty excited to see how it all turned out. I will miss environmental test 7 though. So to sum up, as long as they don't mess with the stuff I have strong nostalgic feelings about, it's all good. After all, it is all about me. :rotfl2:

It figures that our kids actually have the same spring break this year. Oh how I wish I could go then! However, since DD made All-State band, I've had to move our trip to MS to visit my Grandma to spring break. Oh well we will have to work something out to go in the summer! We have four WPF&M options from our first trip still sitting there.

I love that saber tooth tiger your DD made! It has been years since I strolled through the Build-a-Dino store. They didn't have anything that cute then. Places like that are dangerous. I'm sort of glad DD is pretty much past her Build-A-Bear stage. I love that store, and can get into a lot of trouble there.

We seriously have sooo many stuffed animals, I don't know what to do with them all. I hope they sell halfway decently at our garage sale when my DD outgrows them. They take up a lot of space in her room and her playroom.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06137.jpg

DS got a root beer float.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06136.jpg

And then DD saw the sign for the fairies. It had been a while since we had done this, so she and I went to wait in line while DH and DS went to ride Space Mountain. The wait for the fairies said 45 minutes but it was over an hour. Thank goodness they had fairy movies playing in the queue to keep us occupied. Some of the little ones in line had a tough time waiting.

Finally, it was our turn. First up was Tinkerbell.

Our ADR that night was for Les Chefs de France

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06151.jpg

I was pretty excited about it. We checked in and waited a bit and then we were seated. It was still chilly and rainy outside.

For starters, we had some wine. DH got a Pinot Noir and I got a Sauvignon Blanc.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06153_zps2b7d5178.jpg

We were brought a warm baguette

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06155_zps4120986d.jpg

This was hard and it would have been so much better if it weren’t so hard. It is as if it were slightly overcooked. We even had trouble cutting it with DH’s steak knife.

DH and I ordered the onion soup

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06154_zpsf7e82dc3.jpg

This was really good and it hit the spot on the rainy chilly night.

DS got a salad

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06156_zps11e98c47.jpg

Which came with his meal, but DH and I shared it.

DS took a picture of DH and I.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06159.jpg

The waiter brought Remy by.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06163.jpg

I was excited to see him and so were the kids. I wasn’t sure if we would see him. The “waiter” who pushed him around was really funny.

For our entrée, the kids each got the macaroni

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06165_zps23168e15.jpg

Look at her face. She was so excited about it. She liked and ate almost half. It was a huge portion. DS ate almost all of his.

DH got the Beef Tenderloin

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06167_zps25184979.jpg

He really enjoyed this. Said it was really good.

I got the Salmon

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06166_zpscf18ae73.jpg

Even though this looks very lovely, it was very bland. It isn’t something I would order again. It just wasn’t that good.

For dessert, DD just got vanilla ice cream

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06168_zpsa35dc1e9.jpg

DS got chocolate mousse

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06171_zpsb323eb43.jpg

This was very good. DS didn’t want it, so DD and I ate it. I loved the crunchy white chocolate shavings on top of it. DS did eat the slice of pound cake that came with it. He really liked that.

I got the Profiteroles

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06169_zps152eb152.jpg

I liked these. They were pretty good. The mousse was better.

DH got the Strawberry cake

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/DSC06170_zps0c1b86d9.jpg

He said he enjoyed this.

Aside from the bread and my Salmon, we very much enjoyed our meal here. I would go back, but I would order something besides the salmon. Service was good and we got to see Remy. It was a fun meal.

I recently watched all the fairy movies for the first time and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed them! Where is the fairy meet and greet? I honestly have no clue. Somewhere in Adventureland?

I like them too !! They are really pretty movies, I think. Very visually pleasing. And plus .... who doesn't like a fairy story ??

That looked yummy... Even the salmon...:rotfl2:

He had the macaroni.

I got DS the DS. Ha !! They used it in the car and at the hotel. I only got one so they share it. So far no blood shed over that.

What did your husband have ??? Did you just split the squirrel ?

He had the beef tenderloin which he really liked. I'm gonna get that squirrel before he gets me !!! Me and my shop vac.

It has been on our list several times and we have cancelled. Same with Mama Melrose. We made it to both this time. I would definitely order something different at each place though.

Chefs isn't something that has ever really been on our radar, but I have seen a lot of good things about it lately. Especially the onion soup. I like onions for flavor in foods, but I'm not sure how much I'd like an "onion soup" but I've got to admit I'm intrigued by it. Might have to make it over there sometime.

Cute pictures with the fairies! I've never gone in there to meet them.

Les Chefs is an ADR we are considering for our next trip, so I love reading about it. It looks so cute, and I love how they bring Remy by! I'm sorry that your dish was bland though.

Their French Onion Soup is very good. Not as good as the Cheddar Cheese soup at LeCellier, mind you, but still .... very good. I think the soup and a salad there would be a good lunch.

DD LOVES the fairies and all of their movies, etc. LOVES them !! I get the feeling that this a temporary location though and not permanent.

We liked Les Chefs and most of the food was good. Our service was good and we enjoyed our dinner there. But that salmon was lacking something. It just didn't have any taste to it. Even DH agreed it was bland.

Day 2 Part Five
I am just itching to tell you all about THIS part of the trip and you are about to find why

After dinner, I wanted to spend some time in the shops in all of the countries, so we moved to Morocco.

I had never been back in the Bazaar. There were lots of neat things to look at.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06185.jpg

Next we went to Japan.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06193.jpg

Heres another hat.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06194.jpg

DS bought this Naruto hat. And he loves it.

When we got home about 3-4 days later DS says his head is really itchy. This caught my attention, so I grabbed a comb and we did a head check.

Yep. LICE.

Which he either got from this hat or the other hat above that he tried on in Morocco. DD doesn't seem to have them, so this is what we narrowed it down to. Now every mother out there knows how hard these evil little cooties are to get rid of. He had 3-4 full grown ones in there. But there were tons of nits. We did the shampoo thing and started the long comb out process. After a while and seeing all of the nits I was getting out, DS had had enough. "Just shave it," he said. This wasn't our first rodeo with these little devils, so I asked. "Are you sure?" "Yes," he said, "just get rid of it." So let me remind you of what his hair looks like.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%201/DSC06026.jpg

Here it is. It is super thick, super curly and blonde. It is beautiful stuff.

But when there is cooties present ?? It is a nightmare. So I wasnt too opposed to the shaving idea. I mean it would solve the problem almost immediately. If the lice had nothing to cling to, they wouldn't be present.

So we did it. We shaved it. We bagged all of the hair up and put it out in the trash. We put the shaver in a zip lock bag, washed everything in the house basically and so far, so good. I think we caught it early. Words to the wise - DO NOT TRY ON HATS AT DISNEY !!! Make sure you do a close inspection first !! Learn from my pain.

Here is what he looks like now

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/photo6.jpg

He really isnt that unhappy about it. And I have no idea what is going on on the TV in the background, but he is fine with it. His hair grows fast and it was HIS decision. I would have combed all night if I had to. But he just wanted to be rid of the whole thing and I can't blame him. Even I have been freakazoid about it and feel like my head is itchy. I keep having DH check, but I think I am being psychotic about it. These thing will really freak you out !! My mom said they used to use kerosene back in the old days. You had your head shaved, girl OR boy and they doused it with kerosene. Yikes. I. Hate. Lice.

Again - DO NOT TRY ON HATS AT DISNEY !!!

Enough of that. Moving on.

He also got this shirt

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06221.jpg

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06211.jpg

Some chocolate covered marshmallows.

And I got

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06220.jpg

A salted milk chocolate caramel. Good use of snack credits.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%202/DSC06212.jpg

After that, we were tired and cold and everyone was DONE. So we went back to the Boardwalk. And bed.

DOLE WHIPPPPP. How heavenly!

That root beer float looks so good! I might have to try one.

Periwinkle is so cute! Oh my goodness.

We are going to Le Chefs in August and I’m so excited. The food looks amazing and REMY! That is like the main reason we are going. Mum is DYING to see him.

I LOVE the Bazaar in Morocco. It is so cool!

Oh GOD. LICE?! Now I think I’m going to have to photoshop the fez I always try on in Morocco on me. That is nasty! Now I understand why you were itching to talk about this part of the trip. Nice pun!

I’M DYING LAUGHING. The thing on your TV is a flying dog that was on America’s Funniest Home Videos. :rotfl:

Oh, I am itchy all right !! Ever since we found them, I keep imagining that I have them, too and I feel all itchy and stuff. But after checking my hair twice a day every day, my DH assures me I do not have them. My advice ??? DO NOT TRY ON HATS AT DISNEY !! Or at least check them thoroughly before you do.

Hahaha. Thanks so much for telling me that. I was wondering what it was !!! Obviously, I was watching that wait for Once Upon A time to come on. I think it is also hilarious that you KNOW that.

Omg no no no. That's exactly the reason I never try on hats anywhere and I always wonder why people do! It's so gross ughhhhh. I caught lice twice in elementary school and yeah. Just hearing the word makes me paranoid. SO THANKS.

Aren't they just horrible ??? This is our second bout with them, too. They went through our school two years ago. They make me paranoid, too !!

I will tell them to not try them on unless they want lice. That will do the trick, because they are terrified of getting them again.

They do love clean hair, so I don't understand why it is associated with uncleanliness. I read that they don't like oily hair. Either way, I hate them !!!

Day 3 – Part One

We got up this morning and headed over to Epcot.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06230.jpg

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06231.jpg

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06232.jpg

On the way over my scooter started to die. I was pretty sure it got unplugged somehow overnight and didn’t charge enough. We got through the gates at the International Gateway and as we were going up the little hill there into the UK – it died. Right there on the hill. DH noticed an outlet on the side of the gift shop there, so we rolled it down the hill and plugged it in.

Thankfully, I had packed up the cord that morning. So I stayed with the scooter while he and the kids headed over to get Soarin’ fast passes. After that, he took them on Test Track since there wasn’t a huge line yet and then they called me. I was checking e-mail while I was waiting and I thought I had enough power to meet them over at Mouse Gear.

I found an outlet there and decided to walk over to Test Track which wasn’t far.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06238.jpg

We rode single rider and we waited about 15 minutes as the crowds were building – and fast !!

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06236.jpg

After that, we rode Mission Space – Green side.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06234.jpg

This is where it finally occurred to me that the camera lens might need cleaning. So, I got a wipe out and cleaned it. Here’s a photo from the same place.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06235.jpg

So basically, two days of photos look horrible because I didn’t think to clean the camera lens. Definitely remembering to do that next time. Photo quality will drastically improve from here ….

DD traded some vinylmations in the gift shop at Mission Space. Here’s what she got.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06233.jpg

Then she was getting hungry so we got her a nutritious Mickey ice cream sandwich.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06237.jpg

I know -- I know -- we are such good parents.

We went back to check on the scooter and it seemed charged enough to get me through the next couple of hours. It was time for our Soarin’ fast passes, so I drove it up the hill and parked it outside with the strollers so I wouldn’t have to bother with the elevator. Thankfully, the escalators were running. I still have trouble with stairs.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/April%202012/Day%202/DSC02023.jpg

So we rode Soarin’.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/April%202012/Day%202/DSC02027.jpg

We got front row without even asking – YAY !!

I love that ride !! It is seriously my favorite.

After that, DD wanted to ride Figment

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/April%202012/Journey_Into_imagination_with_Figment_entrance_sig nage.jpg

DH and DS didn’t want to so they went to Mexico to order some food while DD and I rode.

After that, we headed over towards Mexico to get some lunch.

For lunch today we were feeling like Mexican again, so we went back to La Cantina de San Angel. The kids split the plain nachos

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06241_zps28cd4d50.jpg

DH had the beef tacos

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06239_zps1dd8a401.jpg

And I had the loaded nachos

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06240_zps6540e780.jpg

Again, we were all very happy with our food here. We used 3 CS credits for 4 people and had plenty to eat.

I am sure they were orginially designed for cleaning purposes, but they come in handy if your DS unplugs your scooter to charge his iPad.

I love me some Soarin' !!! And front row is the BEST !!

I would not have shaved her head. I would have had to cut it though. It is too long to treat for lice. They are seriously horrible little creatures. They are right up there with roaches and spiders !!

DD got lice about a year ago from her cousins who got it from their cousins. It was horrible. My youngest niece has incredibly thick hair. I mean thick. At the time her hair was long. My MIL cut her hair off- short. She loved it and has kept it. My DD on the other hand was a different story. Neither of us could face cutting hers. So there I was all that baby fine hair and comb. It took hours to shampoo and comb.

Every time she picks up a hat anywhere to try on I remind her of her lice experience. So sorry you had to deal with the critters. At least you can shave a boy's head, and it has been contained to him.

But on to more pleasant subjects....

I love spending time in the shops, and other than the shops in Japan and China I rarely get to spend time in any of them. Italy I think I've spent the least time in. I loved those perfume jars you saw in there.

That stinks about your scooter not having juice right off the bat. Happily you were able to make it over to Soarin'. And look at you up walking around the parks. Even for short distances. Woo Hoo!

I was terrified that DD was going to get them for that very reason. Baby fine long hair :faint: We do a head check every day, but so far so good.

We have hopefully learned that lesson.

Italy had some really neat things. We got to spend more time in the shops this time and I enjoyed it.

I did more walking this trip. One day I even totaled 3 miles, but not all at once of course. It hurt, though. I had my vikes with me, so I was good. I really am wondering if I can walk the parks in April or not. I guess I will know as we get closer. I am getting better ... little by little. But jeez - it is taking forever.

I would say slow and steady wins the race, but somehow I think that is of little comfort. I'd be over it as well. If you still need to scooter in April, you can name the TR Scooter Mom- The Final Chapter pt. 2. Two part conclusions are all the rage in movies... Hunger Games, Twilight, Harry Potter.

I guess. I am over the Scooter Mom title. I am sure we will come up with something different while we are there.

Day 3 – Part Two

After lunch, DS went back to the room while the rest of us got fast passes for Maelstrom.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/April%202012/Epcot_Maelstrom_entrance_sign.jpg

We had about a half hour before they would allow us to ride, so we took our time in the China pavilion.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06259.jpg

After that, we headed back to the room.

As we entered the last stretch of hallway, my scooter died completely so we had to push it back to the room. I plugged it in and DH took DD down to the pool where she enjoyed a couple of hours of riding the slide. DS went with them for a little while, but came back saying he was too cold. I did some laundry and packed some things away and just rested until they came back.

Day 3 – Part Three

At about 4 PM, we headed over to Hollywood Studios. We took the boat.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06265.jpg

Once we got there, it was PACKED and all of the fast passes were gone for TSM, ToT and RnR and each one had over an hour wait. TSM was up to two hours. DS and DH went to ride Star Tours while DD and I headed over to the Animation building to see Wreck it Ralph and Vanellope.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06266.jpg

They gave an autograph card since Ralph’s hands were too big to sign his name.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06267.jpg

The line here wasn’t too bad – only about 15-20 minutes.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06268.jpg

This is DD’s current favorite movie and she is obsessed with Vanellope and the whole land made of candy thing, so she was really happy to see them.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06269.jpg

Vanellope was thrilled that DD had a shirt on with her on it.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06276.jpg

After we were done, we went back to meet up with DS and DH,

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06278.jpg

They were riding Star Tours again, so DD and I waited in the gift shop.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06279.jpg

After that, it was time for our ADR at Mama Melrose.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06283.jpg

We checked in, got a buzzer and waited.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06284.jpg

For starters, DH and I had some wine. I got a Pinot Grigio and DH got a Chianti.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06288_zps50b4c175.jpg

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06289_zpsd2609c6e.jpg

Our waiter brought us some bread.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06287_zps52eb1b51.jpg

This was your typical hard sourdough rolls. They were steaming hot and were very good with the pepper and oil they had for dipping

DH and I shared the calamari

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06290_zps947b1ee6.jpg

These were pretty tasty. I have had better, but these had a lot of flavor and spice and we enjoyed them.

For dinner DH and I split the Chicken Campanelle.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06291_zpsb0df9864.jpg

It came out already split for us. DH enjoyed this more than I did. I liked it, but I found it to be very heavy and I could only manage half of my half.

DH finished the rest.

DD ordered the four cheese flat bread.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06292_zps90f78512.jpg

She really liked this and ate almost all of it. Thumbs up from the pickiest child alive.

DS ordered the steak and macaroni

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06293_zpse724bf16.jpg

He said it tasted OK and he really liked the macaroni. But DH and I found this be a very poor cut of meat. It was very difficult to cut and there seemed to be a lot of gristle and fat.

For dessert, DH and I shared the Amaretto Cheesecake.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06294_zpsd66b098c.jpg

Both of us really liked this. It was good and creamy and had a nice amaretto flavor.

The kids just got vanilla gelato.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%203/DSC06295_zps9685aa28.jpg

Which they both liked. Can’t go wrong there.

Overall, this restaurant was a mixed bag. Our server was very kind and efficient and we liked him very much. The chef came out to talk to us because DD has a peanut allergy and I noticed a lot of things with nuts on the menu. He was very nice and upbeat. He said the things that DD had already picked out to order would be fine. So service was good. The food was OK. There were some things we really liked, but other things didn’t measure up. I am not sure we would go back here again with so many other options to choose from.

DD wanted to ride Star Tours, so DH took her to ride, while DS and hung out in the gift shop. After they were done, we thought we would ride the Great Movie Ride, but when we got over there, the park was closing. We discovered it was already 8PM, so we just headed back to the boat launch and caught a boat back to the Boardwalk and settled in to bed.

All caught up! I'm sorry about your scooter battery dying - but at least it wasn't too far from an outlet so you were able to charge it. It seems like the crowds were quite heavy for you, that is no fun. How cute that Wreck it Ralph gives little cards for autographs! I've never seen them before.

The scooter battery was a source of stress all morning. Once we got back to the room in the afternoon and it had a couple of hours to charge, it was fine.

The crowds were pretty nuts. We are used to it being crowded since we have to go during peak times because of the kids' school schedules. We expected it to be somewhat busy, but not as busy as it was. It was Christmas / Spring Break busy. Busier than Thanksgiving even. We are going back for Spring Break, so we just figured we would do what we missed out on during that trip.

I have seen those autograph cards in a few other places where it is difficult for the characters to sign autographs due to the nature of their costuming. It was a cute little souvenir.

Took a break from TR's so I am all caught up. Looks like a fun trip so far. I had my scooter die in AK in August. It just never held a charge. The company came and replaced it. Good thing they did as I never carry the charger.

Ugh!!! About the lice. I worried about that with the kids because they were always trying on hats. My DGD has a beautiful head of thick, long, wavy hair. It would of killed her mother to cut it. Thankfully we were lucky.

I wanted to try and rent points or Boardwalk for our trip in December but I'm not sure what we are doing. It looks like a beautiful resort. I do get to go to Cape May NJ quite often and it has the same quaint feel.

Hope your ankle is doing better. I found out that mine will need surgery. I tore cartilage and may have tendon damage too. I'm not happy.

I recommend the Boardwalk !! We loved it there !! So convenient to Epcot and during the holidays that area is just so beautiful.

I am so sorry to hear about your ankle. It has been over 6 months for me and I can get around, but I still have limited movement. That is some very painful surgery and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I hope you heal faster than me. I hate that it took them so long to discover the damage. I pushed for an MRI right away so I wouldn't have to wait. Even though they told me it was a bad sprain, I knew that it wasn't. And I was right. So I didn't have to wait months and months for them to decide to do surgery, I got it done with in 8 weeks.

Recovery had been slow and painful. Keep me posted on your progress. I so know how you feel .....

I always say this, but it is always true. I never feel like I get enough time in the World Showcase. I never feel like I get to see and do everything.

Mama Melrose was OK. The cheesecake and the calamari were good, but the rest of it was just OK. We will try some where else next time of go back to an old favorite.

I really would like to try for the Boardwalk if that is what we decide on. It really is a beautiful area and we spend a lot of time at EPCOT. I just can't get my DH to give me an opinion on what he wants.

I'm still waiting on a definitive diagnosis on the ankle and I got it's just a bad sprain. I need to drop the films off to the Dr. tomorrow. She thinks I may have tendon damage too. She wanted to go to injections right away but I said no! The shots mask the pain and don't heal the problem so more damage can be done. I don't want surgery but I don't want the constant pain either. I just need to find the time in my busy schedule to get it done and hope it's just a scope not full blown surgery.

I dunno. I wouldn't order the steak. Or that Chicken Campanelle thingy that we got. Everything else was good though. I liked 50's MUCH better, but that was me. You might love MM !!

I had glass in my foot once for months. One of my tennis friends gave me this old timey drawing salve -Icthammol, I think it was - and it worked in 2-3 days. It was right on the ball of my foot, so I was ready to try anything. If only it worked on ankles. To tell the truth, it has been very hard for me - this ankle thing - and I've gotten quite depressed. I am so ready to be better and have my life back, but I am not sure I ever will.

I'm sorry to go all maudlin on you, but sometimes it helps just to get it out.

Yep, they just handed us the card. It doubled as a photopass card as well. We love that movie and we have pre-ordered it from the Disney Movie Club, so we will get it right away.

I love me a pink Disney t-shirt !! And I have several. That one is one of my favorites !!

You got some great photos of DD with the par ousels in China! REally, really cute!

Glad you got a little rest time. You needed that after the scooter frustration.

Wow... I never try on the hats just because of that concern. With as many people as there are going into the parks and doing that, I'm suprised you don't hear of the lice problem more often. I'm sorry you had to deal with it, but I'm glad your DS was such a good sport about it.

Too bad your scooter got unplugged. Were the kids playing on it again??? :rotfl2::lmao:

That would definitely be a pain to have your mobility in the park limited even more by something like that.

No, DS unplugged to charge his iPad and didn't plus it back in like he should have.

I was really worried, because I can't walk very far and I only had a limited number of pain pills, so I was really happy that I had thought to bring the cord and we found an outlet to charge it.

We didn't hate it, it was just that our entree wasn't that great and DS's steak was really a bad cut of meat. He liked the macaroni that came with it though.

Day 4 – Part One

Since this was a just a short trip for us, this day was our last day. So we packed up the car and checked out. We headed over to Magic Kingdom.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06296.jpg

It doesn’t look crowded here, but it was packed.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06300.jpg

DH went to get FP’s for Little Mermaid while the kids and I went to get breakfast at the Tomorrowland Terrace.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06306.jpg

They are serving breakfast here while Main Street Bakery is down for the infamous Starbucks refurb.

DD had the mini waffles.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06301_zpsa5516832.jpg

There were two of these, but she already ate one before I got a photo. She loved these.

The rest of us each got a Ham, Egg and Cheese Croissant Sandwich.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06302_zps4ae89b48.jpg

We all liked it a lot. We would definitely eat here again. The park was VERY crowded and there was plenty of seating in this area. I feel like this is a very under utilized space. There is a lot of shade and seating and it is kind of out of the way, so it is a peaceful place to stop and eat. I hope they keep it open.

After breakfast, DS wanted to ride Space Mountain. So he did that while DH, DD and I roped the people mover.

Someone stood up and they had to shut down the ride, so we got stuck here for something like 15 minutes.

I hope it is just a scope, too. They want to go back and scope mine again because of the scar tissue build up. I find out on Feb. 15 what that is all about. I just hate all of it. And I hate it for you as well. I know exactly what you are going through.

To tell the truth, it has been very hard

The cheesecake WAS good !!! We really liked it. It had a strong amaretto flavor, but I like amaretto, so it was good to me.

Yep, they just handed us the card. It doubled as a photopass card as well. We love that movie and we have pre-ordered it from the Disney Movie Club, so we will get it right away.

I love me a pink Disney t-shirt !! And I have several. That one is one of my favorites !!

So did the photopass card have special wreck it Ralph backgrounds too?? We were there like the 3rd day it was open so maybe they didn't have it then.

Have really enjoyed your trip review!!!

A child I babysat once had head lice, unbeknownst to me, and passed them on to both my DSs. They were 6 and 7 at the time, so I just shaved their heads, bagged all stuffed animals and cleaned everything in sight. I also refused to babysit the child until the Health Department had given her a clean bill of health. My DD has never gotten them thanks goodness, because she has long, thick hair. It would be a NIGHTMARE.

Overall, how is the scooter experience. I am a heart patient and get out of breath easily. I am toying with the idea of a scooter, but worried about loading it on the buses and just messing with it in general........

Lice are the worst. And it isn't anyone's fault if they get them. They are just nasty little parasites that lurk on our planet to give us the heebie jeebies. I itch every time I think about it.

Our scooter experiences have been very positive and I highly recommend it. I would rather be able to walk 10 ten miles a day and not have to bother with it, but renting one has really been wonderful. Getting around is not really a problem because Disney World is very accessible. We live close (about 7 hours away) so DH just puts it in the back of the car and we drive. Or we take the bus which isn't a problem at all.

No, it wasn't this little girls fault, but she had them several times and while her parents WERE treating her hair, they weren't cleaning the house. Ugh, makes me itch just to think about it. But great tip, My DD is one that will be all over the hats.

We live within driving distance as well. I just wondered about using it getting back and forth from our resort and back....on the monorails and on the buses there at WDW.

We own DVC, so we stay on property. DH just likes to drive to the parks. He hates waiting for the buses. But sometimes we take the bus to the parks and it is never a problem. We rent from Apple Scooter in Orlando and they just drop it off at your resort. Very convenient.

yes, we will be staying on property as well, but I know DH wants to drive to the resort, park and not drive again until we leave :) I was looking at Apple Scooter, so thanks so much for your help :) I was talking to DH and we agreed we probably will rent one since it is better to be safe than sorry.

DS was done with Space Mountain pretty much the same time we were done with the People mover, so we moved away from Tomorrowland.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06343.jpg

DH said we should just buy them a scooter and quit coming to Disney World since it seems to be their favorite ride there.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06344.jpg

See everyone backed up behind me because I am walking so slow ??

After that, we headed over to The Little Mermaid ride since it was time for our fast passes. I couldn’t find a way through from the Storybook Circus, so we went all the way around the construction. And oh my word …… it was packed in New Fantasyland. We seriously couldn’t even move.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06345.jpg

The line for Be Our Guest was way past the end of the bridge and causing quite a bit of congestion.

Once we fought our way down to The Little Mermaid, they told us the ride was down and that we could come back anytime with our fast passes later in the day. So we fought our way back out.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06346.jpg

It was crazy packed. DD wanted to ride Big Thunder, so we headed over that way. As we were walking by Peter Pan, DH grabbed some fast passes. He took some photos of Rapunzel’s tower.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06347.jpg

There is very little said about this area, but you assume it will be a meet and greet for Rapunzel. I hope it opens this area up some. It creates a terrible bottleneck.

The b'fast options at Tomorrowland Terrace looked really good. I hope there are MANY delays in getting the Starbucks...er ... I mean the Main St. Bakery opened back up. I don't imagine we'll be going back there once it opens. We've tried the b'fast over at Casey's and it was just okay. My DD says the cinnamon rolls at Gaston's are not the same ones as the Main St. Bakery. I don't usually get the cinnamon roll there, but from what I remembered, other than the size, it didn't seem the same to me either.

I love the Storybook Circus area! I don't have a whole lot of interest in doing much, I just like to take in the scenery. As cute as the Minnie and Mickey houses were in the old Toon Town, Storybook Circus is a HUGE improvement over what was there previously.

As crowded as that weekend was, I'm surprised they didn't have the gate between Storybook Circus and NFL opened. With the walls up for the Mine Train it gets really claustrophobic over by the LIttle Mermaid rides. Having the that gate open at least allows for more than one way in and out. I really wish they hadn't scrapped the Pixie Hollow area. They could have made a great playground to go along with the meet and greet. Sigh. Maybe now that Peter Pan is out on DVD they'll take down the winter wood set up and put up a cool M&G for those characters. It would be cool to get pics with Peter, Tink and Wendy.

I'm very excited for the Rapunzel restrooms to open up. They should have a toilet paper ribbon cutting.

Okay, must go now. They are about to give away a Disney cruise on the radio. Fingers crossed! DD really wants to do one.

Yes, a way through there would have been nice. I didn't see one, though. It was hard to see anything through that crazy crowd. I can't wait until everything is all opened up. The wait for that coaster will be nuts.

The wait was 45 minutes but DD really wanted to ride. I didn’t believe the wait would be that long, but it did take at least 30 minutes. At one point they even had the doors closed and wouldn’t let people in.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06360.jpg

After that, we rode Peter Pan with our fast passes.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/April%202012/Day%203/DSC02241.jpg

I just love this ride. As we were entering the line to ride, one of the CM’s was telling a guy that his fast passes were no longer good. The guy said, “we have been coming here for years and we have never had a problem with this. I want to talk to someone about that.” The CM explained that this policy was new and pointed out three places that this information was posted. I am not sure what happened, but I suppose that man wasn’t doing any current research.

Thank goodness I am such a Disnerd. Saves us so much time.
Anyway, after our ride, it was time for our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern.

I loved the red, white and blue sprinkles on top.

DH and I split the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/January%20Disney%202013/Day%204/DSC06366_zps07634628.jpg

He handed me the plate and told me to eat what I wanted. It took a great deal of effort to leave him exactly half. It was sooooo good !!! I told DH that the fact that I left him half was proof of how much I loved him. We had a great meal here and will definitely go back.

Your meal at LTT looks really good! That was one of our favorite meals from this past trip!

LTT is always a winner for us. We like the dinner, too !!!

We really liked it. We had a nice quiet table in the corner and we really had a nice rest from the craziness of the park.

Or apparently keeping up with his reading of posted signage either. I can see where he may not have known prior to going to the parks the window was now enforced. If one has 'been coming here for years" one might just think he/she knows every thing there is to know and doesn't bother doing research anymore. However, those signs are in your face at the FP kiosk. How do you not notice it, and think I might need to read this.

Yes...Tangled themed restrooms are the story for that area. The rumor/belief is that there will be a M&G there as well. Rapunzel's picture is notably missing from the art on the wall where they are building the new princess M&G. Once the Rapunzel restrooms open up I believe the restrooms behind Peter Pan are being shut down and they are going to be working on the interactive queue for PP.

That angus burger DS got looked really good! Makes me wish I still ate beef.

I have not qualified for the Disney cruise yet. I'll try again tomorrow. If I actually get through I get a $25 Disney gift card. Score! Speaking of gift cards, guess what I got in the mail a few weeks ago? Yes! a Disney Gift card. I helped an old McD's friend of mine plan a trip for her family. She and her husband sent me a $50 gift card as a thank you. Best. Day. In Recent Memory!

They are just unprepared. It was the entitlement evident in his manner is what I thought was interesting.

Still, I hope it is something more than a glorified bathroom. I mean why even put the tower there ?? I don't get it ....

I can't believe that wait for Pirates!!! :scared1:

I'm guessing the guy with the expired FP probably knew what was going on and was just trying to find a CM that would bend the rules anyway. I mean it says right there on the FP now that late arrivals won't be accepted. It doesn't get any more clear than that... :rolleyes1

I love LTT. Never been there for lunch, but it looks like it certainly doesn't disappoint!

Day 4 – Part Four.

After our delicious lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, DD wanted to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad again.

http://i1092.photobucket.com/albums/i408/jecskc/November%202012/Day%205/DSC05857.jpg

So we did that. She just loves that ride.

After that, we head back over to New Fantasyland to see if we could ride the Mermaid ride.

After that is was time to go and our short trip was over. We sadly made our way back to the Boardwalk, turned the scooter back in to Bell Services and headed home.

We really loved the Boardwalk and will definitely stay there again. We
might ask for a closer room if we get one waaaaay down the hallway, but we adore it there.

I was listening to the WDW on the way to work today and they were doing a show about the Boardwalk. If you are a Boardwalk lover, I highly recommend this podcast. Lots of history and extra tidbits about the resort.

We will head back to the World for Spring Break, so I hope you will follow along with us then. We are staying at Bay Lake Tower and we are super excited to experience that resort.

But for now, so long and see ya real soon !!!

I AM BACK.

I love those nutritious Mickey ice cream sandwiches! They are so good.

Yay for front row on Soarin’! I hate being in second or third. It’s not the same with all of the feet in your view.

Still dying over those loaded nachos.

Your pictures of the China pavilion are great. It is SO beautiful.

It’s pretty sad that Ralph’s hands are so big that he can’t even sign his name

Bread + oil for dipping = HEAVEN

I have heard before the food at Mama Melrose’s isn’t that great. And same with Tony’s. I would rather go somewhere else.

THAT MINI WAFFLE IS SO CUTE. I am strange, I know.

I don’t understand why someone would just stand up on a ride. Such an idiot…

Rapunzel’s tower is so pretty!!! Of course it will be a meet and greet but I don’t understand why they are sticking bathrooms back there. Weird.

We have a lunch ADR for Liberty Tree in August. The only reason I wanted to go was for the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. IT JUST LOOKS AMAZING.

IT’S OVER?! I am sad to hear this but I’m glad you guys had a great trip! I will DEFINETLY be following along on your next TR. We are staying at BLT in August and I CANNOT EVEN WAIT.

YAY !!!

I love those nutritious Mickey ice cream sandwiches! They are so good.

They really are and we all know that everything tastes better if it is Mickey shaped.

Yay for front row on Soarin’! I hate being in second or third. It’s not the same with all of the feet in your view.

That is my favorite ride and I almost always ask for front row. I agree ... it its just better.

Still dying over those loaded nachos.

I could go for some of those right now myself. They really are yummy.

Your pictures of the China pavilion are great. It is SO beautiful.

I never feel like I get enough time in the pavilions. Have you seen the movie ??? I love the movie, it is so beautiful.

It’s pretty sad that Ralph’s hands are so big that he can’t even sign his name

They are freakishly huge. Vanellope even says so.

Bread + oil for dipping = HEAVEN

Always.

I have heard before the food at Mama Melrose’s isn’t that great. And same with Tony’s. I would rather go somewhere else.

Yeah - it was just OK. DD really liked her pizza and I thought the calamari was good. The steak would have been fine if the cut of meat was better. The desert was really good. I would give it another try and order something else. Service was very friendly and good.

THAT MINI WAFFLE IS SO CUTE. I am strange, I know.

I thought they were really cute, too and I just knew that DD would love them. I am glad I ordered them for her.

I don’t understand why someone would just stand up on a ride. Such an idiot…

We saw them doing it. They were switching seats, I think. But still ..... thanks for wasting my time, idiots.

Rapunzel’s tower is so pretty!!! Of course it will be a meet and greet but I don’t understand why they are sticking bathrooms back there. Weird.

It is kinda weird, but I hope it opens the space up more. I understand they are closing the bathrooms by Peter Pan and making an interactive queue for the ride. I guess we will have to see when it is finished.

We have a lunch ADR for Liberty Tree in August. The only reason I wanted to go was for the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake. IT JUST LOOKS AMAZING.

It is worth the ADR, I think. So, so yummy !! The burger is really good and of course DH and I really like the pot roast.

I'm glad you had a nice trip (minus the part about bringing some lice back as souvenirs). I'd love to stay at the Boardwalk sometime myself, but that definitely would get old having to walk a few miles down a hallway just to get to your room.

Great job on the TR, and have fun with your upcoming trip. Hopefully the scooter days will be behind you. :thumbsup2

Yeah - that was a souvenir we weren't expecting. We have stayed there before and got a room real close to the elevators, so it is just the luck of the draw, I guess. We loved it though.

I hope so, too. But healing is so slow, I think I may have to use again our next trip. We will see as the time to leave approaches.

Really enjoyed your TR. Can't believe that wait time for Pirates. I don't think I've waited that long for quite awhile.

My DH loves LTT but for dinner. He loves Thanksgiving food.

I can't wait to go down in December and really explore the FLE. I got to see it in October but only had an hour or so and spent most of that waiting to ride Under the Sea.

Sadly December will not be the Boardwalk or any DVC for that matter. DH wants to try POR. I'm fine with that. I'll just have to push my GS even more to make it in baseball. My reward will be a DVC membership. It's nice to dream anyway.

Hope the ankle is better for the next trip. I got lousy news on mine today. Torn cartilage and definitely something going on with the tendon. :sad1: Surgery is definitely in my near future. I'll just have to spend my recuperation planning my Disney trip.

That sucks about your ankle. It has been five months since my surgery and I am still sitting here with an ice bag on my foot. Keep me posted !!

I will Marissa !! Thanks so much for reading !! I have been keeping up with your TR, but just nor commenting much. Lurking if you will. It was a short trip, so that is why it seems so short. The April trip is 8 days though, so that should provide us with some Disney stuff to look at to tide us over for the next trip.

"I didn't know you gave up beef. No dairy, no beef ??? How is life livable ?? Have you tried the gluten free thingy, yet ??"

Yep. DD has never been a beef eater. I'm old and have gone so long without eating it that now if I have any I feel really sick. So I just gave it up. I will get gluten free option in stuff at the grocery store if it exists, but otherwise I'm gluten full. I love bread made from wheat flour too much to completely go gluten free without a compelling medical reason to do so.

Every trip should end with one more ride on BTMRR. I'm going to send DD with you on Spring Break. She's dying to stay at CR or BLT. She can fit in a suitcase and bring a sleeping bag. No one will be the wiser. ;)

I was just telling her last night I desperately needed a Disney fix. It has been almost three months since we've been. We had a good laugh about how we only used to go once a year, then it became twice, and then it got out of control.

We are doing the Spring Break thing from 3/31 - 4/7 and then going down over Labor Day weekend from August 3- thru September 4. Staying at Beach Club then !! Can't wait !! Okay. I had some time, well, not really but I took some and finished reading. Love all the pix. We have not stayed at the BWI yet. I'm only missing that and GF as far as non DVC resorts go. I love the locations of both places, but the pastel turn of the century theme does nothing for me. I like stuff like Bay Lake Tower....the modern look. Contemporary...that was a fun place to stay. I just wish they'd redo everything with stripes or circles...something plain. Then I'd love it. All the floral stuff reminds me of our house growing up. The pool at BWI looks awesome. I love the Boardwalk itself too. We spent a lot of time walking around that when we stayed at BC. I just love the area.

I am craving nachos with extra jalapenos over here, and of course the kids ate all of the chips I bought for myself. You buy them everything they ask for and what do they eat? YOUR FOOD! Yeah, so that's not happening. :sad2:

All out of Amaretto Cheesecake too. (That looked heavenly) Sidney cleaned out some of that 90% off candy at Target tonight. (Soooooooooooo good those filled Ghirardelli dark chocolates, mmm) I can see it now...10 more pounds....I already look like Wreck It Ralph after two cruises in six months plus the dining plan in Nov/Dec. I seriously need to go on a liquid diet, like now. How's that song go Dolly sings..."Why'd you come in here looking like that with those cowboy boots (tennis shoes) and PAINTED ON JEANS" Ew. Okay that's it. Diet tomorrow and NO MORE DESSERTS!

The dead scooter brought back 2008 memories. We tried that one time for my daddy. He refused to use it. :sad2: It was already with us inside the park so my mom used it for the day, well for a little while. It died about 3 hours into our park adventure. We ended up using it to ride to and from the food court. The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. Isn't it funny how much they like 'em? Hopefully you can end the scooter saga soon. Beware though....every time the weather changes you will feel it coming. In Grand Cayman I could barely walk without making an OMG I'm dying face. :headache: That front was moving in and it felt like someone was inside my big toe slicing me over and over with a knife. I'd rather have a baby (all natural) than to deal with this mess.

It's good to know we're not the only ones who always get stuck on the People Mover. Sometimes it don't want to move people at all. :rotfl:

I loved reading your trip report. It was awesome and it looks like ya'll had some delicious food and great times. I would love to be there at the same time one of these days and actually meet up. I just know we'd have a grand ol' time. I think we're gonna do the first week of June. How about ya'll?

Yep. He came home with lice. It really sucked. We had to shave it off. But it is growing back and all is good. Shaving is the most effective way to get rid of them. During our April trip, every time one of them picked up a hat to try it on, I quickly reminded them that evil bugs lurked where you cannot see.
