Once upon a Christmas Time...

This is the story of our little family and our amazing trip to WDW which took place December 18-28, 2012.

First, a little introduction shall we?

Me, Debra -- mommy to 4 amazing kids, wife to a wonderful man. Stay at home mom. This was my 3rd trip to WDW. I have just recently started running. I signed up for the ToT 10 miler in October, and my goal is to do the Princess 1/2 marathon in 2014! Run Disney!!

DH, Bo -- my other half. He is becoming just as obsessed with Disney as I am. This was his second trip to WDW. He works at a University teaching and as a volunteer volleyball coach (he retired from coaching about a year ago). He is working on his Doctorate degree.

DS11, Hunter -- my oldest and definately my adventure child. He will try and ride once. Before this trip his favorite ride was Expedition Everest. Will that still hold true? This was his second trip to WDW. He loves playing soccer, goalie particularly.

DD9, Harper -- my only daughter. Definately not "as" adventurous as Hunter. She was brave for this trip though and did a few new rides. This was her second trip to WDW. She loves to dance. She also declared on this trip that she "would like to get married at WDW". Awww, she has made me proud! Loves Disney princesses.

DS4, Jaxon -- he was 42" for this trip and was pretty brave. This was his first trip to WDW. Donald Duck is his favorite character. How would he react to the characters whom he loves more than anything at home?

DS3, Evan -- he was still a wee bit short at 37", so his ride options were a bit more limited. This was his first trip to WDW as well. Goofy is his favorite character.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/251.jpg

So, thats us. The happy family at the happiest place on Earth. Did we survive the crazy holiday crowds? Did the little boys enjoy meeting all the characters? What did we eat? What did we do with all that park time?

Go ahead and grab some Mickey popcorn and sit back and enjoy my ramblings :mic: of this trip report.

And most of all, welcome!! :wave2:

The days leading up to this trip were sheer chaos! I was in a whirlwind of laundry :laundy: and packing...packing...and more packing! Bo had been out of town all week, and got home the evening of the 16th. We had our family Christmas the evening of the 16th after dinner. Needless to say it was a late night of laundry and packing for him! Bo had to be at work to give 2 finals on the 17th and the kids were at school. The little boys only go to school for 2 1/2 hrs, so I was running around like crazy trying to get last minute stuff packed. Finally, when all was said and done, this is what was coming with us to MCO

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0199.jpg

6 pieces of checked luggage, 6 roller carry ons and not included in the pic, 1 backpack per person. I drive a Suburban and lets just say we were packed to the gills!!

The boys got out of school at 240pm and I was meeting Bo back at home at 3pm. I couldnt bring the boys inside the house because Santa delivered his presents while the kids were at school ;) So, I am trying to entertain the boys in the driveway and luckily hubby came home right on time. We got the car all loaded up and headed to pick up Hunter & Harper at 315pm.

We were on our way to drive about 4 1/2 hrs to a hotel near the airport we were flying out of.

The drive was uneventful and about 2 hours later we stopped for dinner at Olive Garden -- love that white chocolate raspberry cheesecake!! After dinner, back on the road.

We got to the Homewood Suites about 10pm and immeadiately got the kids in bed. We had a separate overnight bag for tonight that we brought in. Bo and I got to bed quickly after the kids as we knew we had a long day ahead of us tomorrow.

Our flight departed at 840am, so we left the hotel about 620am. We were only a 10 min drive or so to the airport. We debated on how to get all this luggage checked in and in the end, Bo dropped off Hunter, Harper & I curbside and he went and parked in terminal. A few minutes later he was back with Jaxon & Evan and we went and checked in all of our luggage at curbside checkin.

Kids at the airport before heading inside

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/airport.jpg

We got inside and headed towards security. Dallas Love Field has a family line, so once our boarding passes and ID's were checked, we were directed to the family line (which was super short!!). Now comes the fun...remember those 6 rolling suitcases and 6 backpacks -- OH, and Bo has his laptop, so that has to come out -- OH, and Jaxon has his nebulizer and all his medication (mostly liquids) in one of the carryons, well that all has to come out and be xrayed separately -- and it was cold, so we all had on jackets. So, I get Hunter & Harper through the metal detector and they wait right there for Jaxon & Evan to come through, then I go through. Bo has to go through one of the body scanners. So, now here we are with 4 kids and all this luggage to re-pack.

Eventually we get everyone and everything sorted and we are on our way. We take a seat and they announce they are boarding soon. At this time I called the kids schools to notify them they would be absent Tuesday and Wednesday. About the time I got off the phone, it was time to get to our boarding areas. We were flying Southwest and had "A" boarding position.

Within a few minutes, we were seated and on our way for the short flight to Austin. We barely had time to get our drinks and they were coming back through to pick them up for landing.

In Austin we were now getting hungry. We still have quite a bit of time before we board, so we take a seat at the gate, then Hunter, Harper & I go in search for some food. The trick is finding breakfast food without eggs involved, no one in the family eats them except Hunter & I.

We found a place serving pancakes, so we went there. I ordered --

Blueberry short stack (little boys to share)
Blueberry full stack (Hunter)
Buttermilk short stack (Harper)
Buttermilk full stack (Bo)
Fried egg sandwich on wheat (me)
4 waters

Total for this delightful breakfast...$41.14 OUCH!!

The food was fine, nothing to write home about by any means, but it was cooked fresh to order and it filled us up.

Now its time to board our very full flight to MCO. Luckily we still have "A" boarding position. We board and get everyone settled. Here are a few pics from the flights.

Harper

This was the little boys first time flying. Jaxon loved it! Evan didnt like takeoff or landing. He freaked out a couple times because of the sounds the plane made. He held onto my arm pretty tight and ended up sleeping most of the flight.

We arrived a few minutes early before our scheduled 215pm arrival. We headed off the plane and hopped on the "mini-monorail" and straight for Magical Express check in!

Day 1, Part 2 Magical Express to our hotel

So we make our way down to Magical Express. Seeing those CMs with the big Mickey hands...AAAAHHHH!!! Ok, so, we already had our vouchers in hand, so they wave us through and direct us to our line. We get up to our line and there was 1 other couple in front of us. We stood there maybe 2 minutes and they put us on a bus...ok, so it was a DCL bus, but STILL, better than one of the Mears busses :thumbsup2

Evan and I take a seat in the second row, Hunter & Harper are behind us and Bo & Jaxon are across from us. Before we know it, we are on our way!

Evan watching the video

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/018.jpg

Hunter...so happy to be on our way!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/019.jpg

And before we know it, we see this

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/021.jpg

The bus made 1 stop at Caribbean Beach Resort before arriving at our home for the next 10 nights...Boardwalk :cloud9:

We get off the ME and grab all our stuff from underneath. We head inside and are just amazed. By this time it is about 345pm.

We are met by a CM who has us take a seat in the lobby and she calls to notify the Inkeepers Lounge that we have arrived and asks if she should take us up or if someone is available to come down and meet us. A few moments later, she directs us to the elevators to take us up to the lounge on the 4th floor.

I take care of getting our KTTW cards at the Inkeepers Lounge desk while Bo and the kids are shown to the lounge. Within a few minutes I have our gold KTTW cards, 1st Visit buttons for Jaxon & Evan and a birthday button for Hunter. I head down the hall to the lounge to meet them. The kids were snacking on cookies and drinking a Sprite.

Jaxon with the Christmas tree in the Inkeepers Lounge

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/022.jpg

A few minutes later we head to our room. We had booked a deluxe CL room. Deluxe CL rooms at BW are guaranteed a BW view and they are bigger than the standard rooms. There are 10 deluxe CL rooms at BW, some of which are on the 3rd floor, some on the 4th floor. The ones on the 3rd floor have a bigger balcony, so that is what I requested back in June when I first spoke with the Itinerary Planning Office (they are basically your personal concierge until your arrival -- book ADRs, room requests -- any request/questions you have you contact them instead of Disney directly).

We arrive at our room, 3229. Bo tells me to open the door and go in first because he knew I wanted to see the room first.

We walked inside and found this

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/027.jpg

This was a gift from the Inkeepers Lounge for Hunter celebrating his birthday, and one each for Jaxon & Evan to celebrate their 1st visits & recent birthdays. There were signed birthday cards for the kids from Woody & Buzz as well as several different candy bars.

Up next -- look at that view!!

Hmmm...not sure what is going on with the pics. I can see them. I have Photobucket Pro, so there should be no issue -- but I was renaming/adding/moving stuff around in the albums, so I just went back into those 2 posts and re-posted the pics. Hopefully it works :confused3

The Christmas tree is so cute! Love the ornaments they used. If you don't mind me asking, is it like "renting" a Christmas tree or is it yours to keep? If so, how did you get it all home or did you leave it at the resort? Just curious in case we take a Christmas trip in the near future! :goodvibes

Glad to hear you can see the pics. So...I guess when I was rearranging photos in Photobucket to make everything easier to find and I renamed the file that these were all in, it broke the link. Oh well, live and learn :thumbsup2

That room was to die for!! I have more pictures I took throughout the trip that I will post as the appropriate days posts are done.

The Christmas tree was purchased, so its ours to keep. It was a 3ft tall tree, she included an extension cord and then decorated it however you wished. She gave you an estimate based on what you wanted, then went out and purchased everything at DTD (or wherever she could find the items) and then she sent an invoice and a picture of the Christmas tree for your approval. Then I did the payment by Paypal. If you dont like it, she can return any items that are non personalized.

As far as getting the tree home, I took all the decorations off the tree and just put those in a carry on to bring home. We left the undecorated tree in our room -- mainly because we had no way to bring it home and we didnt want to mess with shipping it. The tree was all in 1 piece, so there was no way to break it down to fit in our largest suitcase.

We cant wait to take another Christmas at WDW trip.

Day 1, Part 5 MVMCP

After relaxing in the room for a little bit, and enjoying that beautiful view a little longer, we got everyone freshened up and were on our way to MK for MVMCP -- but just about the time we were heading out, our luggage was delivered by the Bell Man.

So, about 530pm we headed down to the bus stop.

I took this picture while we were walking down to the bus stop.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/032.jpg

And these while waiting...

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/033.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/034.jpg

Just a few minutes of waiting and our MK bus arrived. BW was the 1st pick up, so the bus was empty :cool1: We stopped at the Swan & Dolphin, then were on our way. Within a few minutes we were arriving at MK.

We took this picture upon arriving

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0200.jpg

We got our wristbands and headed into MK. Our first stop was picking up "ears" for the boys. The boys decided fairly quickly and Jaxon picked Mickey ears, while Evan picked Goofy ears.

The most beautiful site known to man awaited us when we stepped back on Main Street...Cinderella's castle

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0201.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0202.jpg

If you have never seen the Cinderella's castle during the holidays, let me say...it...is...GORGEOUS!! I mean, simply breathtaking! We admired the castle for a few minutes.

Our first stop was Space Mountain. Hunter was dying to ride this since it was broke down the last time we were at MK.

We stopped to get this pic before heading to SM.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0212.jpg

By now it was almost 7pm and Hunter, Harper & I headed to the standby line...wait time, 10 min -- most of which was walking up to the ride. Before we know it, we are zipping through space. I love SM!! So much fun! Hunter & Harper loved the ride too and couldnt wait to ride it later with Bo.

While we were riding, they had started activities for the kids in Tomorrowland. Bo took some pics of the boys - one playing the activity, the other, sporting their new "ears".

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0218.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0213.jpg

We then wanted to head to a ride for the little boys to enjoy, so we stopped and had a Mad Tea Party -- twice!

The first time riding, I had Harper & Jaxon in the tea cup with me. Jaxon loved this ride!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0224.jpg

We got off and got back in line for Tea Party #2 -- this time I had Hunter & Evan with me.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/036.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/039.jpg

Now we are on our way to Dumbo :dumbo: Walked right up and got on the next cycle -- no waiting. We turned down the opportunity to go in the play area as we figured we would have time for that later in the week. I rode with Jaxon. Evan rode with Bo. Hunter & Harper were both in their own private elephants.

The boys LOVED...LOVED...LOVED...LOVED Dumbo! To this day if you ask them their favorite ride...Dumbo!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0227.jpg

Flying high over Storybook circus

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/042.jpg

Since we were in Fantasyland, we decided to go on Barnstormer to see if Jaxon liked it enough to try Big Thunder Mountain later in the week -- I will save you the suspense, NO HE DID NOT!! Back up a bit, Evan was tall enough to ride this, so we all walked right up to the loading area. Hopped in our "planes" and away we went. Evan was FREAKING out!! He did not like this at all! I couldnt tell what Jaxon thought since he was in the plane behind me with Bo. We got off and Bo told me that Jaxon was freaking out too and did not want to ride it again.

After Barnstormer, Hunter wanted to go on Haunted Mansion. So we headed there and grabbed some cookies along the way. Haunted Mansion -- I love HM!! Did I mention I love HM??!! OH, I dont think I mentioned I love HM!!

The line was moving very quickly, so I only took 1 picture.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/hm.jpg

The boys liked HM for the most part. Evan is a bit skiddish about the dark, but he didnt do too bad. I held him close and just reassured him. Now, the stretching room...thats a different story! That boy screamed and started crying!

Now we wanted to head over to Woody's Dance Party -- but first, we needed some more cookies and hot chocolate. Did I mention it was chilly tonight!??!! It WAS!!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/MVMCPcookies.jpg

Along the way we encountered our first characters for the night, Peter Pan & Wendy. There were just a few people in line, so we waited a few minuted to see them. The character interaction was awesome! Jaxon was a bit nervous about meeting them, so I stayed with him.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0229.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0232.jpg

We stumbled across the last half of Once Upon A Christmastime parade. I wasnt terribly worried we missed it because we knew we were planning on seeing the 2nd parade of the evening. Since we were on the "wrong" side of where we needed to be, we had to wait until the parade ended to cross over to get to Diamond Horseshoe for the dance party.

Up next -- Woody's dance party!!

Day 1, Part 6 MVMCP Dance Party & Holiday Wishes

When I left off we were headed over to Diamond Horseshoe for Woody's Dance Party :cool1:

We got there and there were only a couple kids inside. None of the characters were in there at the moment, but they announced they would be there shortly. So, the kids took the dance floor and were dancing with the little boys. It was the cutest thing ever. The 3 boys got tired of this pretty quickly because it got quite busy. Harper however, was having a great time!

Out first was Woody! Harper stayed close to him, but let the little kids have some dance time with him before she moved in.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0238.jpg

Out next was Harper's favorite, Jessie! She loved Harper's hair because it was long and braided just like hers. Too cute!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0240.jpg

Bullseye came out about this time too. Harper eventually chased him down and had her dance time with him.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0241.jpg

Evan was excited once the characters came out, but he was just so overwhelmed with everyone around that he didnt want to be out on the dance floor. Bullseye came over to see the little boys and Evan got a hug, but Jaxon hid!!

The dance party was a lot of fun!

After the dance party, we headed out to find a spot for Holiday Wishes which started at 930pm and the second Once Upon A Christmastime parade which started at 1030pm. I already knew where I wanted us to watch, and luckily we werent far away. We wanted to be right there where Frontierland & Liberty Square sort of meet since the parade has to slow down there to make the turn to head up to the HUB.

We got our spot about 30 min before Holiday Wishes.

Here are some of the pictures I captured from Holiday Wishes...

Ahhh...Barnstormer!! I was suprised it was as fast as it was. I didnt expect that with the low height requirement. Oh well, at least the little boys tried it.

Harper had such a great time at the dance party. She absolutely LOVES Toy Story -- especially Jessie! She really had a great time that night.

Day 1, Part 7 MVMCP Once Upon A Christmas Time parade

While we waited for the second parade to start, I went across the street to pick up some popcorn. While I was waiting in line, Hunter & Harper headed off to get more cookies and hot chocolate from the nearby location. When they were on their way back, Duffy was headed to his M&G near where we were seated. Harper wanted her picture with Duffy, so Bo gave them the other camera and Hunter took a picture for her.

Day 1, Part 8 MVMCP Finish

After the Once Upon A Christmastime Parade we discussed what to do since the time was now about 1045pm. We decided to get a few more cookies and another hot chocolate since it was getting really chilly.

We decided to head over to It's A Small World since the boys were still awake. We parked the stroller and walked right on. We were the only people in our boat.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/iasw.jpg

In the middle of IASW, Evan fell asleep -- must have been from the excitement of all the singing :rotfl:

We left IASW and we saw...Scrooge Mc Duck!! He was the one character I was hoping to see!!!! There were a couple people in line, so Hunter, Harper & I got in line (Jaxon was quickly falling asleep in the stroller by now!) When we were the next ones up to meet him, Scrooge had to go and check on his money, but they told us he would be back in about 5 minutes. Sure enough, he was! It was about 1135pm by the time we finished up with Scrooge.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0304.jpg

Since Bo hadnt ridden Space Mountain yet, I told him to take Hunter & Harper and they could go ride it while I stayed with the boys.

The little boys were crashed out!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0306.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0310.jpg

I was watching the time while I was sitting there in Tomorrowland. It was fun watching people sprint to Space Mountain as the time was ticking down...1155pm...1156pm. Bo and the kids came off the ride at 1201am. They said there was no wait and they pretty much walked right on.

So...2 character meets, Holiday Wishes, Once Upon A Christmastime Parade, Dance Party, Space Mountain x2, Mad Tea Party x2, Dumbo, Barnstormer, Haunter Mansion, Its A Small World -- I think we got quite a bit accomplished during our MVMCP time.

As we were leaving we took a few more pictures.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/TvlMVMCPbw/DSCN0321.jpg

We headed to the bus stop. There werent too many people waiting for our bus, so we all got a seat on the next one to arrive. By the time we got back to the hotel, all 4 kids were knocked out. We woke up Hunter & Harper & Jaxon, and I carried Evan. We got back up to the room and got the kids quickly in PJ's and I got clothes out for the next day for everyone. Bo & I went out on the balcony to see the view at night -- it was even more beautiful at night. We got to bed about 2am and were exhausted!!

The parade was super amazing! The skiers (their pic will be in my "bonus" MVMCP post) were fun! They stayed in our area a couple minutes b/c they had to let the rest of the parade move up some. One of the guys told Hunter his Jack Christmas hat was awesome!

Hands down worth it!! Having the lower crowds in the park to really immerse yourself in the holiday surroundings -- the parade at night is amazing!

Day 2, Part 1 Epcot

After such a hectic and long day yesterday -- early flight and staying out late for MVMCP, we decided to sleep in and get to Epcot whenever we got there.

Jaxon & Evan woke up around 930am and I woke up when I heard them. I turned on some Disney cartoons for them and slowly started getting ready for the day. About 10am Hunter & Harper woke up. I had all the kids dressed and ready to go by 1030am. Bo finally woke up about this time (he can sleep through anything!!)

While he was getting dressed, Harper & I were out on the balcony and we see this...

In the end what was written God = :)

Bo got dressed and we finally headed out to Epcot about 11am.

While walking down the hallway, I took a picture of the adorable carpet with its hidden Mickey. This part of the carpet is Mickey on a roller coaster on the Boardwalk ;)

We enjoyed the nice walk from Boardwalk to Epcot. It was a quick walk, maybe 10 minutes or so. During that walk, I captured what has become one of mine & Bo's favorite pictures of the trip.

Hunter & I both ordered the Lobster Bisque. I thought this was delicious. Very nice flavor, large pieces of lobster. Hunter declared this as "the best thing he ate all trip!"

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/105.jpg

DH ordered escargot. Casserole of Burgundian escargots baked in parsley and garlic butter. Not something he typically orders, but I had never tried it, so he got it so I could sample. He ate one and said they were fine. Hunter tried one and absolutely hated it. Harper would not go near them. I thought they were very nice. Good garlic flavor. There were 6 on the dish, I had 4 of them.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/109.jpg

Hunter trying (and hating!!) escargot -- Harper wouldnt go near it!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/111.jpg

Harper ordered the cheese plate. Imported cheese board with raisin and walnut bread. Sadly, I do not have the names of the cheeses. Harper liked a couple of them, but did not care for the others. DH and I sampled the cheeses and thought the flavors were quite nice.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/110.jpg

Both little boys had the cheese puff pastry. I did not sample this, but they both ate it all, so I guess they enjoyed it. This was served with a small salad, they ate the tomato.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/106.jpg

For our entrees, again Hunter and I ordered the same thing. Quiche Lorraine - Ham & cheese. The famous ham & cheese quiche served with a mixed green salad. This was quite nice. Nice flavor. I was getting quite full so I did not have more than a bite of the salad. This was Hunter's first time trying quiche and he enjoyed it as well.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/113.jpg

DH, Bo ordered Croque monsieur - Ham and cheese sandwich. The classic French toasted ham and cheese sandwich served with a green salad. DH did not give me much more than "it was good".

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/116.jpg

Harper ordered Macaroni baked with cream and Gruyère cheese. She really enjoyed this, but couldnt eat it all because it was so rich. I tried a bit of it and I have to agree with her. I dont think I could eat a whole serving of this!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/115.jpg

The little boys both had the same thing. Breaded chicken strips served with pasta. They are not big fans of chicken nuggets/strips, so we took off the chicken in hopes they would eat the pasta, but they really didnt touch it. I think they were probably full from their appetizer.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/114.jpg

At this time Sophie came by and asked what we wanted for dessert. I was stuffed and did not order anything. Bo was also full and just ordered coffee as his dessert. The kids all got dessert.

Harper ordered chocolate mousse. She loves pretty much anything chocolate, so she had no complaints about this dessert.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/122.jpg

Hunter ordered Fresh strawberry and cream cake with raspberry sauce and strawberry sorbet. He loves strawberries, so this was perfect. I did try a small bite and this was very nice. Light and fresh tasting.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/121.jpg

Both little boys had the chocolate chip cookie. This was quite large. Both boys loved it.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/120.jpg

2 iced teas, 2 sprites, 1 OJ, 1 apple juice

Total cost before automatic 18% gratuity added $192.61, 6 credits used

All in all we were all quite happy with our meal at Chefs. Remy was a little late, but super cute -- and his handler...HILARIOUS!! We would definately return here again.

Remy did make an appearance about 1245pm finally. His handler made it worth the wait. He kept asking us if we wanting his autograph too since we were taking his picture.

Lovely updates... MVMCP and Chefs de France...:goodvibes

It sounds like you really had a very productive night at the Party... I love Scrooge McDuck too and I also noticed that all 7 Dwarves were out... Not only is the party unique and fun but being in the park at night is a whole totally different experience...

Chefs is such a pretty restaurant -it looks/sounds like you had a really lovely time there... I haven't been there in a while... your review makes me want a lunch reservation there...:goodvibes Your gang sound like good eaters... mine too... It does make things easier...

I wonder how the sky writer got in so close to Disney...? I don't have any problem with the writing but I think Disney is usually pretty protective of their air space and I don't think Disney wrote that...hmmm mystery...:confused3

I was so excited about seeing Scrooge McDuck!! I didnt want to bother with waiting in line for the 7 Dwarves this time around. Maybe one day.

We really enjoyed Chefs. Would definately like to eat there again.

I didnt really give it any thought about the sky writer. We actually saw it again later in the week, same message being written.

Day 2, Part 3 Epcot fun

After our tummies were full from our yummy meal at Chefs de France, we had 1 very important order of business (ok, 2) -- to redeem our Photopass + voucher (we didnt want to use up MVMCP time to do this last night) and get over to Soarin to get FP since they were still available.

But since I am passing a Christmas tree, I must take a picture :thumbsup2

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/123.jpg

So, off to The Land we go. I run downstairs and get FP with return time of 615pm.

After Soarin FP are in hand, we head back over to the camera store and I quickly redeemed our voucher for Photopass +. We noticed that Goofy was meeting nearby, so we took the kids to get in line. Just a few minutes later and we were meeting Goofy.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/124.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/127.jpg

After we have met Goofy, we decided to head over to The Seas With Nemo.

The little boys loved the ride, and once we finished we looked at the aquariums for a while.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/129.jpg

Mickey -- not so hidden ;)

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/132.jpg

The kids had to visit with Bruce -- Hunter & Evan

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/135.jpg

Harper & Jaxon

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/136.jpg

I love this Nemo setup outside -- always thought it was so cute.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/142.jpg

Hunter wanted to take a picture by himself. "Just keep swimming"

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/143.jpg

By this time it was nearing 3pm, so we decided to head over to Journey to the Imagination since we had never been on this before.

Evan did NOT like the wind, skunk smell and definately NOT the pitch dark scene!!!!! He started screaming when it went dark. Poor baby!

After Journey to the Imagination, we let the kids play in the Imagination area for a few minutes. Evan loved this area for some reason...

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/144.jpg

After we played with Figment for a while, I noticed on my Touring Plans app that Gran Fiesta Tour had only a 5 minute wait, so we decided to head over to ride that.

On the way, had to take pictures of the adorable topiary.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/147.jpg

Hunter & Harper asked if we could get a snack before we rode. They were craving pretzels, so we stopped and got them each a pretzel.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/145.jpg

While heading back to Gran Fiesta Tour, we thought it would be funny to have the kids take a picture with the Mayan type calendar (afterall, the end of the world was coming in a few days ;))

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/150.jpg

The little boys loved Gran Fiesta Tour and really got a kick out of seeing Donald pop up in all the scenes.

After Gran Fiesta Tour, I saw on my app that Maelstrom only had a 5 minute wait, so we headed over to ride that. As we were walking up, they were making an announcement that the ride had just shut down.

We glanced at the time and noticed the holiday storyteller from Norway was about to begin. We watched the story of the holiday gnome Julenissen.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/152.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/155.jpg

After Julenissen, Bo & I wanted to get a beer from Germany. So we stopped by the German Pretzel wagon and got 2 Altemunster Draft beers and 1 pretzel to share (cant have German beer without a pretzel!!)

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/162.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN1885.jpg

We figured we should go ahead and head over to Coral Reef for our dinner ADR at 525pm. We arrived early and sat outside to finish our beers before checking in, plus Evan had fallen asleep in the stroller, so we were trying to give him some time to rest before we checked in.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/165.jpg

This would be our first time eating at Coral Reef. What would we think about it?

Up next, Coral Reef

Great update. You have a beautiful family! The pitch black, and the bursts of air on the imagination ride scare my youngest... I always forget about it too - I have tried my best to shield her and I am always off. I really used to love the imagination pavilion - they really need to update it and find a better sponsor...

Got a bit behind but I'm all caught up now!

It sounds like y'all had a really great time at the party. :santa: The picture of the boys passed out in the stroller is too funny. It seems like they made it pretty late though, so that is good that they experienced almost everything you did! The parade is really fantastic. Really puts you in the Christmas spirit!

Even for a sleep in morning, you seemed to make pretty good time. :thumbsup2 At least at Epcot, there are lots of smaller rides you can ride that don't build up the wait times as quickly. I love the little Nemo plant area! It's one of my favorite movies, and now DS is just obsessed with Nemo. I'm sure that spot will be a real hit when we go back in October.

That lunch at Le Chefs looks really delicious and fun. I would love to get to see Remy! He's so adorable. :goodvibes The mac and cheese looks fantastic!

I felt so bad for little Evan during those scenes. He was fine once they were over, but I still felt bad for him. The imagination play area was fun...but I agree, it does seem a bit dated.

The boys did really well with the long hours that first day -- between waking up early for the flight, then staying out late (and in another time zone).

I thought we did pretty well at Epcot considering our arrival time. We still had more time at Epcot to come, so I wasnt too worried.

I think the love for Nemo really started for Jaxon & Evan on this trip. They talk about Nemo all the time (and Dumbo too by the time the trip was over).

Chefs was a lot of fun. I would definately like to go there again!! :thumbsup2 And yes, the mac and cheese was very good...rich, but good!

Day 2, Part 4 Dinner at Coral Reef (Candlelight Processional package)

For dinner this evening, we were headed to Coral Reef for the Candlelight Processional package.

I had read all sorts of different reviews, some good, some bad, some down right awful...but I was hopeful. Hunter really wanted to eat here because of the aquarium.

We arrived about 515pm for our 525pm ADR and had to wait approx 20 min before our buzzer went off. We were seated on the second tier and immediately our waitress, Patty approached our table. She told us what we were able to get since we were doing the Candlelight Processional package. She offered recommendations and came back shortly with drinks, presented us with the bread basket and took our dinner order.

Bread basket. These were ok. Typical rolls. I shared one with Evan.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/171.jpg

For our appetizers, I ordered the Crispy-fried Shrimp with Coral Reef Slaw and a Spiced Rémoulade. The shrimp were nicely fried, with a good crispy texture, but the real winner was the spiced remoulade! That paired so nicely with the shrimp. I could have easily eaten a few more of these!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/173.jpg

Bo ordered Crab Cakes with Tropical Fruit Salsa and Tequila Aïoli. He enjoyed these. I had a small bite and was quite happy that I ordered the fried shrimp. These tasted ok, but I definately preferred my shrimp ;)

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/174.jpg

Hunter ordered Caesar Salad with Shredded Parmesan and Croutons. This kid loves salad, so I was not at all suprised he ordered one. He ate every last bite, so I guess he enjoyed it.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/172.jpg

Harper ordered Creamy Lobster Soup made with Tarragon and Brandy. She ate every last drop and would have licked the bowl clean had we let her! I was going to ask for a bite, but by the time I looked over, she was already done!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/175.jpg

The little boys both had sliced apples for their appetizer. I did not take pictures of the apples.

Entrees were brought out about the time we were finishing up our appetizers.

I ordered Coral Reef Lobster Orecchiette Pasta with White Cheddar Cheese and Basil Oil. This was delicious, but INCREADIBLY RICH!! The flavor was nice, and everything went together well, but it was so heavy. There was no way I could eat all of this, so towards the end, I ended up just picking out the lobster and eating all of that. The lobster chunks were HUGE!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/179.jpg

Bo ordered Grilled New York Strip Steak served with Roasted Potatoes, Mushrooms, Spinach, and Red Wine Sauce. He ordered this cooked medium. He said the cut of meat was quite nice, very little fat. He also enjoyed the roasted potatoes. Sorry for the blurry picture here.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/183.jpg

Hunter also ordered this same steak, minus the mushrooms and he subbed fries. He ordered his medium well. He ate most of the steak and about half the french fries. He said the steak was fine, little fat.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/181.jpg

Harper ordered Seared Chicken Breast served over Spaetzle finished with Applewood-smoked Bacon and Chicken Broth. To be honest, she did not care for this at all. She took a couple bites of the chicken and said it was quite dry. She did not care for the spaetzle either. I traded plates with her and she enjoyed my pasta, but agreed it was very rich. I agreed her chicken was very dry. Patty offered to get her another meal, but by this time Harper was getting full anyways.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/182.jpg

The little boys both had cheese pizza. I did not try this, but the boys both ate about half of their pizzas.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/180.jpg

We all ordered dessert tonight.

Bo, Harper and I all had The Chocolate Wave served with Raspberry Gelato. OK, I am not a huge chocolate person, but this was yummy!! And that raspberry gelato was so refreshing and perfect with the chocolate molten center. MMMM!!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/186.jpg

Hunter ordered Orange Cheesecake with Blood Orange Sauce. He loved this! He later declared this as his favorite dessert of the trip. I was curious of the orange flavoring and had a small bite. The orange flavor was quite mild.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/185.jpg

Jaxon ordered plain vanilla ice cream (he is very picky about desserts). So again, no picture.

Evan ordered Coral Reef Brownie. Patty kept calling this "Nemo dessert" and I couldnt remember from pictures what it looked like. Oh goodness, this was so cute in its presentation. He devoured this! Every...single...bite! The brownie appeared to be very moist when I cut it for him.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/184.jpg

Overall, our meal at Coral Reef was nice. Other than Harper's chicken, everyone enjoyed their meal. The ambiance was nice with the aquarium.

There were a lot of divers in the aquarium (probably 8-10) and the little boys thought that was the neatest thing to watch them swim. Some of them would come up to the glass and do flips in the water and wave to everyone.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec19Epcot/170.jpg

$295.94 was the total cost for the Candlelight Processional package. 12 dining credits used.

Day 2, Part 5 Candlelight Processional

After dinner at Coral Reef, we rushed over to use our FP for Soarin and arrived about 645pm. I knew there was no way we would have enough time for everyone to ride before we needed to head over to Candlelight Processional, so I just sent Bo, Hunter, Harper & Jaxon to ride (Evan is too short -- normally we would rider swap, but the timing was not in our favor!!). Evan and I went over to the area where FP distribution is and I sat down, while Evan was running around in the open area.

We waited...and waited...and waited...and waited. Finally, about 730pm they come off Soarin -- yes, 730pm...Candlelight Processional is at 815pm :scared1: This was everyones first time to ride Soarin. Last time we were there, TT was our priority and we never got around to Soarin. Bo thought it was "ok" and Hunter, Harper, Jaxon liked it.

We rush off and are dodging in and out of people trying to get over to America theatre. We arrive a few minutes before 8pm (completely out of breath!!) and find out they havent let anyone in the theatre yet. The line was long, but moved through very quickly. We ended up about halfway up, near the end of a row.

We had never seen Candlelight Processional, so we were very excited (well, Bo & I were). Our narrarator was Alfre Woodard. We weren't too familiar with her work, so once she was finally announced in November, we had to Google her

She did an amazing job! She seemed so moved by the words she was reading and had a wonderful soothing voice.

I didnt take many pictures because I didnt want to bother anyone around us.

Candlelight Processional was absolutely beautiful. The choir was amazing and overall it was very moving. The kids all did well sitting through this (even the little boys).

After CP was over, it was time to find a place to watch Holiday IllumiNations. We found a spot close by to where we were and waited for it to begin.

Looks like you had a great day at EPCOT! can't wait to hear about DHS!

That first Epcot day was great, even though we slept in a bit. HS update coming up today.

What a fun day! The Candlelight Processional and Holiday Illiminations look awesome. Your little ones are troopers! I'm impressed that they lasted through the fireworks!

CP was beautiful! I would love to see it again when we go back during the holidays.

I was suprised how well the little boys did with the late nights too! They would nap a bit during the day in the stroller, so I think that helped them.

Welcome  Yes, I do have a DR going as well. The DR is moving along much faster than the TR though ;) I was trying to wait until our Photopass CD came in the mail before I got too far along in the TR.

Day 3, Part 1 Hollywood Studios/H&V bkfst

On December 20, we had an 8am pre-park opening breakfast at Hollywood & Vine.

We left BW about 710am and walked over to HS. It's such a nice, peaceful walk from BW to HS. Took us about 20 min walking at a leisurely pace.

Along the way, I snapped this photo as we were approaching HS of the Tower of Terror.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/197.jpg

As we approached, I took this picture of the Christmas tree at HS.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/198.jpg

We waited in the character breakfast line until about 750am, then we were let in. One family tried to come through the line that did not have an ADR as was very upset they could not get in the park early.

I thought this was the cutest little window set up

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/201.jpg

We arrived at H&V headed over to check in at the podium. We were seated just a couple minutes past 8am.

Our server came over and told us the characters would be there in just a moment so we should wait to go to the buffet. She took our drink orders and as she was walking away, Jake approached our table.

Jaxon was a bit nervous about the characters, but Evan loved them.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/214.jpg

After he left we headed up to the buffet. There are 2 sides, however they only had 1 side open...and there was a crazy line!!!

About the time I was halfway through the line, they opened the other side.

I apologize for no buffet pictures, but there were quite a few people and I could see Oso quickly approaching our table.

Here is a picture of my one plate that I had.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/213.jpg

The fritatta was -- well -- it didnt have a very good taste. I dont know what it was about it really, but I only took 2 bites of it and moved along with the other items on my plate.

The danish was nice, the croissant was fluffy, fruit was nice and fresh and the Mickey waffles...perfection as always! Bacon, limp as always :rotfl2:

I also had a small bowl of strawberry yogurt that Evan ended up eating.

Day 3, Part 2 HS morning fun

After our breakfast at H&V, Bo took Hunter & the little boys over to the Sounds Dangerous studio a few minutes before 9am since we had began to see people passing by as we were finishing up breakfast, so we assumed they had opened the park a few minutes early. Harper & I headed over to TSM to grab FP for all of us.

Our FP return time was 1130am.

We headed back to the meeting area that Bo & I had discussed during breakfast. They were not there yet, so I noticed Chip & Dale had just arrived, so we went to see them and were second in line.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0042FourBySix.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0046FourBySix.jpg

Goofy was also meeting, so we went and got in his line. There were 2 families in front of us.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0052FourBySix.jpg

We checked again to see if Bo & the boys were at our meeting spot, but they were not, so we went ahead and waited to meet Pluto. There were 3 families in front of us.

Pluto was looking at her pins and was sad she didnt have one of him.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0058FourBySix.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0062FourBySix.jpg

About this time I saw Bo & the boys walking over. Hunter had been signed up for the 120pm show and we had to be there to check in by 1pm. We had an ADR for Sci Fi at 1235pm, so we knew this would need to be cancelled, so I called and took care of that. We would just figure out something else for lunch when we got hungry.

It was about 920am by now, so we checked out Touring Plans and saw that Tower of Terror had a 10 min standby wait, so we headed over there. We got a rider swap and I rode with Hunter & Harper. I had been on this before, but neither of the kids have ever ridden before. Harper was freaking out before we even got to the ride.

Neither of them liked the ride much because of the random drops. Since we had Photopass + we got the ride photo. We are in the front row, left side.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0064FourBySix.jpg

We got off the ride and neither Hunter or Harper wanted to ride again at the moment, so Bo said we could use the rider swap later. We checked Touring Plans and saw that RnR had a 40 min standby wait, so we decided we would come get FP once our window opened up before we rode TSM.

We decided to head over to Great Movie Ride, but we stopped to get a few Photopass pictures since a photographer was there now.

We were being BLINDED by the sun!!!

Day 3, Part 3 More HS morning fun

We headed off to Great Movie Ride. Since Hunter was participating in Jedi Training Academy, he wanted his picture with these --

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/218.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/219.jpg

We were prepared ahead of time knowing that we would need to cover the boys eyes during the scene from Alien. We only had to wait a few minutes and we were on our way to the movies.

We ended up with the Gangster version. Evan did not like all the gunshots and started crying. I kept trying to hide his face, but it really upset him.

When we got to the Alien scene, I turned his head towards me and covered his eyes. He was mad that I was covering his eyes, but I did not want him to see that. Jaxon kept trying to move Bo's hand because he was covering his eyes too.

After we were finished, Hunter & Harper asked if we could get a snack. We got a Mickey ice cream bar (Harper), Strawberry bar (Hunter) & 2 Mickey pretzels (Bo & I shared one -- little boys shared one).

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/222.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/224.jpg

We were now in our window to get a new FP, so I headed over to RnR with Hunter & Harper and picked up FP. Our return time was 1225pm.

We met back up with Bo & the boys and we headed over to Toy Story Mania since we were in our return time window.

Bo rode with Evan

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/228.jpg

I rode with Jaxon

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/229.jpg

And Hunter & Harper rode together.

The little boys LOVED TSM!! They wanted to ride it again (um, no -- its now a 75 minute standby wait!!)

After TSM, we headed across to go meet Woody & Buzz!! We saw the green army men and had the kids take a picture with one of them.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/231.jpg

We waited in line for Woody & Buzz. The kids had fun playing with all the little set ups along the way. Before we know it, we are in Andy's room.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/235.jpg

After a potty break, we headed over to RnR so we could use our FP right at 1225pm. We got a rider swap and Harper decided to sit this one out, so she waited with the little boys and I.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0416.jpg

Jaxon wanted some popcorn -- I didnt want to stray too far from RnR, so the closest I could find was a bag of specialty kettlecorn so I bought that for him, then he wanted "yellow juice" AKA Orange juice, so I found a place nearby and bought that for him too. In the meantime, Evan had crashed out in the stroller.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0415.jpg

Here is Bo & Hunter's ride photo -- they both loved the ride!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0096FourBySix.jpg

By now it was about 1245pm, so we headed over to Sounds Dangerous to have Hunter check in for Jedi Training.

It was a pretty good HS morning -- not as good as some of the MK mornings where we accomplished a TON (more on those later :thumbsup2)

It was so much fun with just Harper & I seeing the characters. Made me think about possibly doing a girls trip with her in a few years.

Day 3, Part 4 Jedi Training Academy

We arrived at the Sounds Dangerous stage a few minutes before 1pm. We got Hunter checked in. While the kids were waiting, one of the CM's was asking the JTA kids Star Wars trivia. A few minutes later they began to line up the kids from shortest to tallest.

They brought the kids over to the JTA stage near Star Tours. The padawans were given their robes and were told what was expected of them. The parents were also given instructions on where we were allowed to stand so that we would be out of the way of the Photopass photographer. The parents with kids participating in that JTA show were given photopass cards which would have all the pictures of all the kids, then we could just edit and find the pictures we needed on the Photopass site.

The show began promptly at 120pm. The padawans were given their training lightsaber and shown the proper way to use it.

As the lesson was coming to an end, there was a disturbance in the force and these guys showed up...

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0431.jpg

All of the padawans were given their chance to fight Darth Vader. When Hunter approached, his trainer mentioned his shirt and she wasnt so sure about him (his shirt had Darth Vader on it). The padawans all had a sequence of about 6 moves on Darth Vader.

After all the padawans had their chance to fight Darth Vader, they all used their Jedi force to make Darth Vader leave. They were all given diplomas at the end.

Hunter had a great time. There were 2 or 3 other kids who were his age (he just turned 11 a couple weeks before we went).

Day 3, Part 5 Afternoon at HS

When Hunter finished JTA, we found Evan like this...still sound asleep

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0443.jpg

Since we were close to Star Tours, we decided to grab FP. Our return time was 235pm. We let the kids take pictures with the speeder bike before we head over to Muppets 3D.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0119FourBySix.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0123FourBySix.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0126FourBySix.jpg

By this time, Evan woke up and wanted his picture taken on the speeder bike too

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0128FourBySix.jpg

Now it was time to head to Muppets 3D...but first, the kids were asking for a snack :rolleyes1

The kids wanted frozen lemonades, so Harper & Hunter both got one to share with the little boys

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0451.jpg

After the kids ate some of the frozen lemonade, it was time for Muppets 3D. The little boys LOVED this! They kept trying to grab at the objects and they loved the bubbles!

By this time, we were within our FP window for Star Tours, so we headed back over. We got a rider swap and Bo, Hunter, Harper & Jaxon rode first. I took this photo of Evan while we waited.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0479.jpg

We then decided to head into Tatooine Traders so we could meet them as they came off the ride, plus I figured I could distract Evan with stuff inside the store.

Jaxon enjoyed the ride, but didnt want to ride later with me. Hunter knew he wanted to do "make your own lightsaber", so he did that. In the meantime, the little boys found lightsabers of their own and entertained themselves while Hunter finished.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0452.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0454.jpg

Hunter got his lightsaber and we were on our way to go grab a light lunch about 4pm. We decided on cheese nachos, then we would head over to Honey I Shrunk the Kids for a little while.

Just got all caught up with the updates, and it looks like a fantastic day at DHS so far!! Even though that park does not have as much as other parks for the little kids to do, there are so many great character interactions to be found, which is one thing I love about that park! Seems like your kiddos were having a fun time with them! :thumbsup2

Hunter looks great doing JTA! I bet he really loved that. I wonder if Paxton will be into Star Wars stuff when he gets a little older? Oh, and I have to say, those pictures of Hunter & Harper sharing their frozen lemonades with Evan & Jaxon... :lovestruc So sweet!

The Photopass pictures are great too, especially those family shots! You have a beautiful family. :goodvibes

Thats definately true about HS...not a whole lot for the little kids, but some great characters for them to make up for the lack of attractions!

JTA was a lot of fun for Hunter. I'm glad he got to be in one of the shows. I had read so many posts about kids being turned away because they got there late and shows filling up by 10am. Luckily it all worked out. Hunter really got into Star Wars a few years ago. Started playing with the Lego sets, then playing Lego Star Wars on the Wii and then his love for it has just continued to grow.

Jaxon & Evan on the other hand, no interest whatsoever right now.

Hunter & Harper are really good with Jaxon & Evan, so we are increadibly lucky they have such a great sibling bond.

I was very happy with about 99% of the Photopass pics and I am so happy to have so many family pics from the trip.

Wow I haven't been on the boards for a week and you have been on an updating tear...:goodvibes

Your children really are sweet and really are troopers... they seem like really awesome kids...

Your meal at Coral Reef looked really lovely...:goodvibes and I'm glad you were happy with your CP narrarator... I remember you were worried about that on your PTR...

I've heard lots of mixed reviews on the food at Hollywood & Vine...people seem to like the characters... less so on the food...

So glad Hunter got to do JTA... It's an awesome experience not to mention the photos... I have a feeling that we as parents gte as much out of it as they do....:goodvibes

Great photo ops of your guys and the Toy Story gang...;)

The kids were definately troopers on this trip! The little boys especially did so well.

We were so worried about our CP narrarator -- it was killing us (ok, me!) to keep seeing TBA for months, then when ours was announced, we didnt even know who she was -- but yes, she was amazing!

H&V is definately not known for the food. We ate there a few years ago and it was the same way, but I knew the little boys would like the characters.

JTA was so fun for Hunter -- and yes, it was fun for us parents too ;)

The kids had a great time with Buzz & Woody! Woody even rearranged the kids so that Evan was standing with him, and Jaxon was standing with Buzz.

Another updated coming up tomorrow hopefully.

Day 3, Part 6 Finishing Up At HS

Ok, I have to back up just slightly...my pictures got out of order and I completely forgot about one very important thing we did AFTER make your own lightsaber, but before nachos --

We met these guys!! Phineas & Ferb!! We totally love this show! The little boys were off on a potty break with Bo :thumbsup2. Phineas & Ferb were very excited about Harper's Isabella shirt. They both kept giving her thumbs up about it.

OK, so then nachos...and now back to our regularly scheduled TR :goodvibes

And THEN Honey I Shrunk the Kids ;) We took a ton of pictures here, so I am only sharing a few. Just a side note...if you have never been in the play area, its a lot of fun and very cute in the theming -- BUT, its a nightmare trying to keep up with your kids in there. I am always a nervous wreck the whole time trying to keep up with the little ones.

We stayed at the play area for a while (they were making the closing announcement at 5pm when we headed out), then we decided to head back and I would ride Star Tours with Harper & Hunter using the rider swap, but first, Harper wanted to take a picture -- a la singing in the rain ;)

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0476.jpg

So, now off to Star Tours. We were on and off the ride in the blink of an eye.

After Star Tours, Hunter & I went over to RnR to use the rider swap. We had to wait a few minutes, but not too bad. While we were in line, Bo, Harper & the little boys went to pick up Carrot Cake Cookies :cloud9:

This was my first time on RnR since last time we were there I was pregnant with Jaxon. Wowzers!! Fun ride, but man did I have a headache when we were done!! Hunter enjoyed it again for the second time today.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0144FourBySix.jpg

We met up with Bo and he presented me with my Carrot Cake Cookie -- OH GOODNESS!!!!! Such a yummy treat, rich, but yummy!! I took about 2 bites, then had to put it away.

It was now time to head out as it was nearing 6pm, we had dinner planned at Epcot this evening, but on the way out we got one last Photopass picture

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/Photo0142FourBySix.jpg

We decided to take the boat back to BW so we could sit and relax for a few minutes as we planned to stop by our room for a little bit before we would head over to Epcot. A boat had just pulled up to the dock as we were walking down, so we were off in no time.

Since we had plenty of time, we got off at the Swan/Dolphin and were going to walk back along the Boardwalk. We encountered Santa on vacation while we were passing through. He had a LONG line, so we just snapped this picture in-between people.

Up next, dinner at Via Napoli

Tonight we headed over to Epcot for dinner at Via Napoli. We had an 830pm ADR and had to wait a few minutes before being seated.

Adam was our waiter and was very sweet.

For our appetizers, Harper & I ordered Calamari Fritti corn-crusted rings served with spicy tomato sauce. These were delicious! Nice crispy batter and the calamari was just the right amount of chewy :thumbsup2 Shorly after Adam brought this out, he came back and checked to make sure the sauce wasnt too spicy for Harper (it wasn't)

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0486.jpg

Bo ordered Salame e Provolone dry cured sausage, imported provolone cheese. He said this was good. I didnt try any as I do not care for that meat.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0489.jpg

Hunter ordered Tortellini in Brodo beef tortellini in broth. He liked the tortellini, but he wasnt crazy about the broth. He ate it all anyways, so I guess it wasnt that bad.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0487.jpg

Jaxon & Evan both had fruit cocktail. They ate it all. The fruit appeared to be nice and fresh.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0488.jpg

For entrees we all ordered different pizzas.

I ordered Prosciutto E Melone Pizza - white pizza, fontina, mozzarella, prosciutto, canteloupe, arugula. We make a similar version of this at home, and I must say that our version was inspired by Via Napoli's version. I did pick off the arugula after I took the picture as I dont like the bitterness of arugula. The prosciutto was long, thin strips and the canteloupe was sliced thin. All in all the pizza was good, but dare I say...I like my version better ;)

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0490.jpg

Bo ordered Carciofi Pizza - white pizza, artichoke, fontina, mozzarella, truffle oil. He said this was amazing! Somehow I did not ever try a bite :confused3, but he said he would definately order this pizza again.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0493.jpg

Hunter ordered Piccante Pizza - Italian spicy sausage, tomato, mozzarella. He enjoyed this quite a bit. He liked the spicy sausage. He did not finish all of this, but that was only because he was getting full.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0491.jpg

Harper ordered Pepperoni Pizza - pepperoni, tomato, mozzarella. I was worried about Harper and this pizza because they do tend to brown the crust more here at VN than what she normally prefers, but she very much enjoyed this pizza.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0492.jpg

Jaxon & Evan both had Pizza Margarita. They ate some of this and quickly started getting full and tired.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0494.jpg

For dessert, we shared Coppa di Brutti Ma Buoni “Ugly But Good” Amarena cherry & vanilla gelato sundae. YUMMY!!! This is so good!! Bo also ordered a coffee at this time.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0496.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec20HS/DSCN0497.jpg

Jaxon had fallen asleep at the table, but Evan had a chocolate gelato, but I do not have a picture of that.

Drinks were 2 iced teas, 2 Sprites, 2 milks. Total before 18% automatic gratuity $204.48 - 6 TS credits used

We absolutely loved Via Napoli. I wouldnt hesitate to come back here again.

Our waiter was charming. His mother was actually in town visiting from Italy and happened to be sitting at the table right next to us. She and Adam talked to my husband about Italy and where their families were from. Adam and his family were from Southern Italy, where my husbands family is from a small town in Northern Italy.

Just as we were finishing up dessert, a storm blew through. It was still sprinkling as we walked outside. The stroller was a WEE bit wet ;) The park was closed by now, but we took a few pictures as it was a bit foggy and the WS looked very cool.

Day 4, Part 1 Breakfast at Crystal Palace

On December 21 we had an 805am ADR for Crystal Palace. Since the "end of the world" had not come yet :rotfl2: we headed off to MK for our ADR.

We checked in and had to wait until about 815am before we were seated. While we waited, we took our pic with the Photopass photographer.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/Photo0145FourBySix.jpg

Our buzzer went off and we were seated. Our waiter came and took our drink orders and then Harper, Evan & I headed off to the buffet.

My first stop, PUFFED FRENCH TOAST -- but there was none there -- completely empty

I got fresh fruit, breakfast lasagna, breakfast pizza, Mickey waffles, a piece of bacon and a croissant.

For Evan I got him strawberries, yogurt and Mickey waffles.

Bo, Hunter & Jaxon went to get their plates and luckily they had restocked the puffed French toast by that time. Bo brought back a big plate of it for us to share :thumbsup2

Picture of my plate

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0513.jpg

The puffed French toast was AMMMMMMMMMMMMAZING -- cant wait to get some more of that sometime soon I hope!

I didnt care for the breakfast lasagna -- it was almost sickenly sweet. I only had a few bites of it.

After breakfast, Hunter was presented with a birthday cupcake

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0517.jpg

We really enjoyed our breakfast at Crystal Palace. Definately will return again -- for more of that puffed French toast is nothing else!!

Day 4, Part 2 Having Fun at MK

Now that our bellies were full it was time to have some fun at MK!! The time was about 915am and the park had opened at 8am this morning (not the case when I originally made the ADR for CP) and tonight was the last MVMCP of the year, so the park was closing at 7pm. We wanted to try and get as much done as possible because we knew the crowds would really be coming in over the weekend.

Our first stop...getting FP for Under the Sea. We headed over and we got FP return time of 955am.

Since we were close to the carousel, we decided to stop there next. This would be the first time Jaxon & Evan had been on a carousel. It was a walk on. As soon as we got Evan up on the horse he started freaking out, so we really had to keep a hand on him to let him know it was ok.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0525.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0532.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/253.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0531.jpg

After the carousel (which Evan did eventually like after a couple times of going up and down on the horse) the kids wanted to try and pull the sword from the stone.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/255.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/256.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/257.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/258.jpg

No such luck for the kids in pulling the sword from the stone. We did see a little girl a bit later who had pulled the sword and we watched a bit of her celebration ceremony.

After the failed attempts at pulling the sword, it was now time for Under the Sea. We walked right up to the loading area (after the very long walk!!) The ride was cute -- Harper loved it, but then again, she LOVES Ariel!

Since we were in the area, we decided to grab a picture in front of the statue of Gaston.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0546.jpg

Speaking of Gaston, he was doing a M&G but the line was CRAZY LONG!!! So, we just snapped this picture of him quickly.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0547.jpg

Cant wait to see the tower from Rapunzel when its finished!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0548.jpg

I checked Touring Plans app and saw that Peter Pan only had a 15 min standby wait, so we rushed back over and rode that. I rode with Jaxon and he loved it. He kept pointing out everything and loved the Captain Hook with Tic Toc scene!

Next we were going to head towards the Magic Carpets, but along the way we took a few pictures in Liberty Square.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0550.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0552.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0553.jpg

And I cant get too many pictures of the Haunted Mansion!! Remember how much I love it??!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0560.jpg

And a picture of Harper and her mill -- with the sun shining brightly in her face!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0557.jpg

Now we were on our way to Magic Carpets. There was no line and we were immeadiately loaded to our numbers -- the people on the carpets were just about to take off for flight -- the carpets start and immeadiately come back down. Apparantly they started the ride too soon and someone wasnt safely loaded yet. Since they had to emergency stop, they had to reset the computer system and then those people were able to get back in and ride. So, now its finally our turn.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0561.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0562.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0563.jpg

After the Magic Carpets, the time was about 1105am. We decided to head over to POTC since there was only a 10 minute wait (most of which was the walk). Evan was a little skiddish on this ride because of the darkness, but overall he did ok. We looked around in the gift shop for a few minutes, then headed off to BTMRR to grab FP for later (535pm return) and decided to see if we could check in early for our LTT ADR. It was about 1145am and our ADR was at 1230pm.

Up next, LTT lunch

Caught up here too!

JTA - :thumbsup2 Love it! I'm glad Hunter got to do this before he is "too big!" Next time you go it will be Jaxon's turn!

Phineas & Ferb - Too cute! Love their Christmas outfits.

Honey I Shrunk the Kids - We missed doing that! Looks like the kids had fun though. I TOTALLY know what you mean about being a nervous wreck in those playgrounds! Especially when you're trying to keep track of more than one kiddo. Sheesh!

Santa on vacation - :lmao: In 2010 we went to FL to visit my hubby's sister and her family for Christmas. I always found it hilarious that even in FL they still associate Christmas with snow! All the Santa's we saw were always surrounded by fake snow! Anyhow, I LOVE the "Santa on vacation" theme. Classic!

CP/ Magic Kingdom morning - CP has to be THE BEST way to start a morning at the Magic Kingdom. Looks like you got a great start!

At least you look like you kept your eyes open on RockrRC...

I loved your Via Napoli pictures... glad you enjoyed your meals... I think its a really nice addition to the WS restaurants...:goodvibes

Love New Fantasyland... & also looking forward to Rapunzel's tower opening...

Have never been to the Crystal Palace... it's a must for our next trip... it looks so light and pretty in there...

Wouldn't you have just died (in a good way lol) if the sword had come out of the stone?

Phineas & Ferb were so much fun! They really seemed to have a good time with all the guests as they met them.

Honey I Shrunk the Kids totally had me in a nervous wreck this time keeping track of all the kids. I wasnt too worried about the older kids, but my little guys -- very much so!

Santa on vacation totally cracked me up :lmao: It was the funniest thing ever.

CP is the perfect way to start a MK day -- especially if you have a pre-park opening ADR (ahem...Disney...I had one...then you changed the park hours on me :rolleyes2)

On December 21, we had a 1230pm ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern.

We were strolling through Frontierland, headed towards Liberty Square and decided to stop by about noon to see if we could go ahead and check in. We were told we would have to wait a few minutes, but they could seat us shortly.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0567.jpg

About 1215pm we were called to our table -- where they left us with about 10 coloring pages and probably 50 crayons (no kidding!!) We waited for our waiter...and waited...and waited. (Now we are glad we have all the coloring pages and crayons!!) Finally about 10 minutes later our waiter, Ed approached our table. He seemed very flustered (yet the section wasnt very busy...3 other tables besides ours -- a couple, a family of 4 and a group of 10 or so) and took our drink order. We had already decided on what we wanted to eat since we had time to look over the menu, and the little boys were asking for food, so Bo asked if we could go ahead and place our appetizer order. Ed seemed put off by this :confused3, but went ahead and took our appetizer and entree orders.

I  the glasses here -- I need to remember to buy one sometime!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0576.jpg

Bo & I shared Crab and Spinach Dip for Two Blue Crab, Spinach and Cream Cheese with Warm Flatbread. This was pretty good, however I do wish there were a few more pieces of flatbread. There was a lot of dip leftover to eat with just the breadbowl.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0577.jpg

Hunter ordered Declaration salad Field Greens tossed in your choice of our Tavern-made Dressing or Garlic-Buttermilk Dressing. He did not care for the dressing at all -- and there was a LOT of the dressing on there. Needless to say, he did not eat much of this salad.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0579.jpg

Harper ordered Tavern Fried Cheese with Marinara Sauce. She loves cheese sticks and had no complaints about these. There were 4 on the plate, but she ate 1 before I got the picture :rolleyes2

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0578.jpg

The little boys had apple slices for their appetizer.

For our entrees, I ordered The Liberty Boys BLT Slow-roasted Pork, fresh Greens and Tomatoes on House-made Bread with Caramelized Shallots and Mushroom-Mayonnaise Spread. Ok, honestly, I thought the meat was salty and a bit fatty. I did enjoy the bread. I ordered the fresh fruit as my side. Bo also tried a bite of my sandwich and agreed the meat was quite fatty and salty.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/LTT.jpg

Bo ordered New England Pot Roast - Our Tavern Keeper's Favorite Braised Beef in a Cabernet Wine and Mushroom Sauce served with Mashed Potatoes and Garden Vegetables. He thought it was "meh" -- not the best thing he has ever had, but not awful.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0581.jpg

Hunter ordered Vegetarian Burger House-made Potato Quinoa Vegan Patty topped with a fresh Vegan Tofu-Tzatziki sauce with fresh Fruit or Sweet Potato Fries. I dont know what in the world made him order this to be completely honest :confused3, but he said he wanted to try something very different that day. He said the bread was very tough. The patty was very dry and almost the texture of very dry, leftover mashed potatoes. He didnt care for the sauce. He ordered the fresh fruit as his side. Needless to say, he only at the fruit and the lettuce and tomato.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0584.jpg

Harper ordered Pilgrims' Feast Traditional Roast Turkey served with Herb Bread Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes and a Garden Vegetable. She said the turkey was dry (Bo tried it...it was indeed dry -- even with the gravy). The mashed potatoes tasted like they had been prepared a while. She had a few bites of the dressing, but said it wasnt as good as mine  and she is not a huge green bean fan. So...overall, she was not happy with the food today.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0582.jpg

The little boys each had mac-n-cheese. They ate about half of it.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0583.jpg

We never saw Ed through the entire meal after our food was delivered :rolleyes2. There was another large party seated near us who were complaining about where the waiter was -- I guess Ed was just not having a great day. He finally came by and asked if we were having dessert. You might think he would ask how the food was considering my plate was almost untouched...Hunter's plate was almost untouched...and Harper's plate was almost untouched, but he did not. We went ahead and ordered dessert (hoping something good would come of the meal), but we really wanted to just be done with this place today.

Bo, Hunter & I all ordered Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake Vanilla Cake with a Gooey Toffee Filling, Caramel Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream. Thank goodness for small favors that this was delicious!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0585.jpg

Harper ordered Martha Washington's Cake. A slice of rich Chocolate Cake, layered with a liberating Chocolate Icing. She enjoyed this - and it was a big slice!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0586.jpg

The little boys were starting to get tired, so we just ordered them apple slices to go, so Ed brought them out in a bowl and gave us cups to put them in.

Ed offered us to-go refills on all our drinks, so Bo & I took him up on that and got some more Pomegranite Lemonade, Hunter & Harper got some more Root Beer and he brought out 2 apple juices for the boys.

Our bill before the automatic 18% gratuity was $151.80 - 6TS credits used

Overall, we were very disappointed in LTT on this particular day. We had eaten here 1 other time before and quite enjoyed our meal, but on this day, everything was just "off".

Up next, Castle show & off to Tomorrowland

Somehow my pictures got out of order on Photobucket (I really hate that site after their latest update :furious:) -- anyways, I forgot to post our Photopass pic from our CP bkfst in front of the castle, so I went back and posted that if you want to see it.

Day 4, Part 4 Castle show & Tomorrowland

After our lunch at LTT, we headed off towards Tomorrowland. It was about 130pm and the castle stage show was just underway, so we made our way around to be closest to Tomorrowland and watched the rest of the show. Here are a few pics.

After the castle show, we headed to the rose garden and got our Photopass picture taken

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/Photo0155FourBySix.jpg

And how many pictures can one really have of the castle?? Never enough!!

Christmas topiaries...again.

Tomorrowland!!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0613.jpg

Just as we came into Tomorrowland, we saw Push the talking trashcan!! Yea!! We loved seeing him a few years ago as AK, so Hunter & Harper were really hoping we would see him again. Push was hilarious, but he was almost done with his antics by the time we got there :rolleyes2

Our next stop, Monsters Inc Laugh Floor!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0617.jpg

This is a favorite of ours for sure! You just never know what to expect. Needless to say, this show did not disappoint at all! To this day we still joke around about one of the skits. Our kids were picked for one of the jokes -- Jaxon was a bit shy about seeing his face on the screen and hid behind me.

After Monster's Inc Laugh Floor, we decided to ride Buzz Lightyear. The little boys enjoyed this ride. We figured they would since the loved TSMM so much!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/Photo0160FourBySix.jpg

After Buzz Lightyear, we decided to take a ride on PeopleMover. The boys enjoyed this ride too! Jaxon thought it was neat to see Space Mountain.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0618.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0620.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0622.jpg

We then headed to Tomorrowland Speedway about 315pm. We waited about 15 minutes before we were off and driving. Evan rode with me, Jaxon rode with Bo, Hunter drove his own car & Harper drove her own car. The little boys LOVED this! Jaxon had fun "driving", while Evan wanted no part of holding the steering while and just wanted to take it all in.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0626.jpg

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0627.jpg

We decided to leave Tomorrowland and head off for some more fun -- but where would we go -- and how would we spend our last few hours at MK??

Day 4, Part 5 Giggle Gang & Storybook Circus

After taking a ride on the Speedway, we decided to head towards Storybook Circus. Along the way, Jaxon saw the Tea Cups and said he wanted to ride them. There was only a short line, so we were on in just a few minutes.

I took Jaxon & Evan with me, while Bo had Hunter & Harper so they could go as fast as they wanted.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0629.jpg

I think Hunter & Harper's heads were spinning by this point!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0634.jpg

Our next stop was supposed to be Storybook Circus, but we came across the Giggle Gang who had just started their show, so we decided to watch. The idea of the show is that the Giggle Gang wants to be part of the band. The kids thought it was hilarious :rotfl2:

After the show, we are off to Storybook Circus -- until Jaxon & Evan see Dumbo. We saw that there was a little bit of a wait, so we decided to grab FP. Hunter & Harper wanted to ride Barnstormer again, and luckily the FP return times for both were within a few minutes of each other. So, we had Dumbo FP return of 505pm (4 of us) and Barnstormer (2 of us) at 515pm.

We got in line to meet Minnie Magnifique and Daisy Fortuna first.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0652.jpg

This was a character M&G I had been super excited about ever since I started seeing the artist renderings of what would be offered, then when I saw the costumes...I knew this was a MUST DO!!

We waited about 20 minutes before we got up to the characters. Unfortunately, by this time, Evan & Jaxon had fallen asleep in the stroller.

After meeting Daisy & Minnie, we exited and went back around to the entrance to go meet Donald & Goofy. Their line was a little bit shorter, but it still took about 20 minutes to get up to the characters.

Goofy's Photopass photographer was not out when we got up there, but I noticed he came back out shortly.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/Photo0205FourBySix.jpg

When we exited this time, Hunter & Harper had their eyes on some goodies. We told them we would let them get a snack after Dumbo & Barnstormer since we were in our FP return time now.

Sorry about the disappointing lunch at LTT. I was thinking to myself, I wonder why they weren't offered anything else since most of them didn't seem to eat their food? It's really amazing how a server can make or break a dining experience, as we learned first hand at 'Ohana. You kind of have to wonder how the meal might have gone with a different server. :confused3

I am totally with you on Photobucket, I HATE the new updates! I'm actually on the lookout for another photo hosting site because I really just can't stand it. It has been reorganizing my pictures on me too, and I have sent several complaints to them since they even started testing the new site.

How adorable that the littles slept through the M&Gs!! I love the two photos of the big kids and the characters shushing over the sleeping boys. :lovestruc

I've enjoyed reading your TR and seeing your pictures so far. You have a goregeous family.

My mouth is watering reading about your meals, I can't believe how much your kids eat. My girls are so picky and barely eat anything. I'm dreading paying adult prices for my oldest when she eats so little.

We are trying to decide whether we want to go over Thanksgiving or right before Christmas (12/18-12/26). I'm leaning toward Christmas but the thought of it being really really crowded scares me. I feel better after seeing how much you were able to get done.

We found out during this trip that those boys can sleep through almost anything ;) They werent upset about missing out on the characters.

I was a little sad they slept through the whole M&G, but I just told the Photopass photogs that I wanted to wheel them up to be in one of the group pictures at the end. We ended up with several pics like that with characters doing the "shhhh" thing...or us doing it as you will later see in the TR.

LTT was a true disappointment on that particular day. I wonder how things would have been different had we not checked in early :confused3

Photobucket is killing me with always freezing up. Drives me nuts! It also resized all my recent uploaded pics and no matter what I do, it wont save them the right way --- so, I uploaded the other half of the trip pictures to Flickr. Once I can get through this current day that I am working on in the TR, all the rest of my pics are on Flickr, so we will see how that goes.

We have quite a few pics of characters or us "shushing" over the little boys. They are all so cute.

We certainly ate a lot of food, and there is much more to come. My kids can certainly eat...that is for sure!

I think you can make Christmas manageable as long as you are willing to get to the parks early. We got so much done -- even on Christmas Eve morning at MK by arriving close to park opening. Park opened at 7am that morning, and we were there by 730am -- and we got so much done in those first few hours. My advice, utilize am EMH, have a good plan for FP and just have fun.

Note to self: make ADR at LTT for lunch, then order only dessert! That ooey gooey cake looks amazing and I've heard people rave about it on the dining boards, but its a pity everything else was disappointing. Its cool to hear about the rides you guys enjoyed, I definitely am putting Monsters Inc Laugh Floor higher on my priority list for the next trip!

Day 4, Part 6 Finishing up at MK

Jaxon needed to go potty before our ride on Dumbo, so Bo took him. In the meantime, I took a few pictures near Storybook Circus. I just love the theming here -- so adorable!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0663.jpg

About 525pm we used our FP for Dumbo & Barnstormer. We showed Hunter & Harper where to meet us if they finished before we did, however, since Dumbo had NO line, we assumed we might finish before them. We made it over to park the stroller, and walked through the line and as we started flying with Dumbo, we saw Hunter & Harper already finished and waiting for us.

I rode with Jaxon, while Evan rode with Bo.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0670.jpg

The little boys had a great time on Dumbo and were excited to ride it again in a few days, and Hunter & Harper had a great time on Barnstormer. They asked to be seated in the back, and were.

We promised the kids we would get them a snack from Big Top Souvenirs after we finished riding, so I went inside to pick them out something. Hunter had requested a caramel apple, and Harper wanted a Minnie marshmallow wand and I was going to get the boys a cookie of some sort.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0673.jpg

Everyone enjoyed their snacks, so now we were off to Big Thunder Mountain, but first, I had to get this one last picture. It was so funny to me!

The most beautiful castle...ever!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0675.jpg

We went and got our Rider Swap ticket and then I went and rode first with Hunter & Harper. We had to wait a few minutes in line. After a 10-15 minute wait, we were riding. Hunter rode with another single rider (but was seated behind me) & I rode with Harper. Last time we were at WDW, Harper hated this ride. Amazing what a few years will do as she loves this ride now.

Bo took some pictures while waiting for us.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0683.jpg

After we got off BTMRR, Bo got in line and rode again with Hunter & Harper using our Rider Swap. Hunter again rode with another single rider. I took the little boys to the bathroom and by the time I got back, they were done with the ride.

We had about 40 min before the park was closing to day time guests. We stopped in a nearby gift shop and looked around a few minutes. We bought the little boys a car each, Hunter & Harper didnt find anything in this store they wanted, so we started heading back up to the HUB to get a picture in front of the castle before we headed out.

Day 4, Part 8 Chef Mickey

On the evening of December 21, we had a 730pm ADR for Chef Mickey.

We had to be out of MK by 7pm as the last MVMCP of the year was taking place that night. Bo wanted to just ride the monorail over instead of walking.

We arrived at CR just a few minutes after 7pm, and after checking out the holiday decorations, we went and checked in about 720pm. They handed us our buzzer and sent us over for our picture. Afterwards, we went to sit down and just a few moments later our buzzer was going off. We were seated about 745pm.

Our waitress came by and took our drink orders and told us to hold off since Minnie was only 2 tables away. After Minnie we had a few minutes before the next round of characters would be by.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec21MK/DSCN0723.jpg

I helped Jaxon get his plate and there was a line of people, so I apologize that again, I do not have buffet pictures.

My plate was NOT very exciting -- I warn you now!! There was not a whole lot that sounded good (until I got to the dessert area ;))

My plate consisted of...BBQ chicken, carrots, parmesean mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets and a roll. I was so ashamed of my plate (and quickly inundated by characters) that I did not get a picture of my exciting plate until after I had already eaten some. Apologies!!

The BBQ chicken was just ok - a bit dry in my opinion. The mashed potatoes were good. The macaroni and cheese was fine. The carrots were fine. The chicken nuggets were fine. The roll was ok.

I see you all rushing out to book ADRs right now with my stellar review :lmao:

No, I wasnt expecting much with this meal. We were doing it for the kids. They had a great time and thats all that mattered.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0745.jpg

Thankfully the desserts were good!! :thumbsup2

My dessert plate Oreo "mouse", carrot cake, banana cream pie, bread pudding. I didnt care for the Oreo "mouse" (but I am wishy-washy on chocolate), but I did enjoy the carrot cake, banana cream pie and bread pudding.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0748.jpg

Bo's dessert plates Oreo "mouse", banana cream pie & I cant remember (and didnt write down what that other one was) & then a plate of bread pudding.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0747.jpg

I dont have the receipt for this meal, so I cant provide an accurate total. 6 TS credits used.

Would we return?? For the characters, yes. For the food, well...I guess as long as my kids request this meal we will have to find something here to eat. I think we may try breakfast next time though.

Mickey arrived a few minutes after Minnie.

I think almost everyone goes to Chef Mickey's for the Characters first and the food second... It looks like your desserts were good though...:thumbsup2

Sorry about Liberty TT... (although again it looks like dessert came to the rescue...:goodvibes) I've had one really great experience there and one not so hot... I think it's a really atmospheric space and there are no other sit downs on that side... I'd like to see Disney take that restaurant more seriously... It could be a really nice show case for American foods...

Awww... Little E & J were totally out for the meet and greet... well there'll be other times and they needed the power nap...:goodvibes Love those version of the characters though... & that whole Circus area is really whimsical and photogenic... I like how they repurposed the barnstormer into the ...hmmm... wow what are they calling it... the Great Goofini something...:scratchin

What a great update! I agree the food at Chef Mickey's is well ummm ok- but the characters are worth it! We enjoy breakfast there as its basic Disney breakfast food :)

I think we will try bkfst at CM in Oct. The atmosphere is so fun!

:surfweb:

The desserts were definately the high point of CM! We will continue to eat there because the kids do enjoy it for the character interaction.

I dont know what was going on with LTT that particular day. I think it was just a fluke, but unfortunately, we wont be eating there for a while.

Evan & Jaxon were very much OUT for that M&G. We figured for sure they would wake up for Goofy & Donald at least...but no! The Storybook Circus is super cute -- I just love it! Themed so well!!

Day 4, Part 9 A Quick Visit to Epcot & BW pics

After our dinner at Chef Mickey, we decided to just take the monorail to Epcot and walk through since they were open for PM EMH.

When we got to Epcot, Illuminations was still going on, so I took a few pictures as we passed Spaceship Earth.

Day 5, Part 1 Kona bkfst

On Saturday Dec 22, we had a 905am ADR at Kona. We got down to the bus stop and had to wait FOREVER for a MK bus this morning! There was another couple who were on their way to Kona for breakfast and they were stressing out since they knew they were going to be late.

We got to MK and waited just a couple minutes for the resort monorail, so I took this picture of the GF across the lagoon & moments later, we headed to Poly.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8085/8458524195_53e8fc8fe0_z.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/93051017@N04/8458524195/)

We arrived right at 905am :scared1: and had to wait a few minutes before we were seated.

We were shown to our table, and Chris was our waiter. He came by right away and told us he would be with us shortly (the place was PACKED!!).

Chris came back a few minutes later and took our drink orders. Hunter and I ordered Lilikoi juice, Bo ordered Kona press pot (OOP), Harper, Jaxon & Evan all had chocolate milk.

Evan getting his morning cup of coffee :rotfl2:

For our entrees, Hunter & I both ordered Tonga Toast - banana stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with Strawberry Compote choice of ham, bacon, or sausage. We both ordered ours with ham. I only use a small portion of the strawberry compote to avoid it being too sweet.

SOOOOO DELICIOUS!! Breakfast perfection on a plate!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0831.jpg

Bo ordered Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes - with macadamia nut butter, pineapple sauce and your choice of ham, bacon or sausage. He ordered this with a side of ham also. He gave this a big :thumbsup2 -- I agree it is good, but I dont think I could ever stray from Tonga Toast.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0835.jpg

Harper ordered French Toast - with choice of ham, bacon or sausage. She ordered this with sausage. She ate quite a bit of this.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0832.jpg

Jaxon had Mickey Pancakes - buttermilk pancakes shaped like you-know-who. We ordered fresh fruit for his side. This was a lot of food for a 4 year old, so he ate the 2 small pancakes and a few bites of of the big pancake and most of the fruit.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0834.jpg

Evan had Minnie's French Toast - rolled in cinnamon sugar. We ordered the side of fresh fruit for him as well. He ate 1 1/2 pieces of the french toast and most of the fruit.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0833.jpg

Kona Press Pot (be sure to get a to-go cup if you dont finish!! :thumbsup2). I dont drink coffee, so this was all for Bo. Again, this was paid for OOP.

Total for the meal (not including the Kona Press Pot) before the automatic 18% gratuity was $74.99. 6 TS credits used.

Kona is delicious! Probably my favorite breakfast ::yes::

We checked in a few minutes early and were told our name would be called shortly. We waited...and waited...and waited. Finally about 2pm, Bo went up to the podium to check and see how much longer the wait would be. Come to find out they never put us down on the list after we checked in :scared: They seated us immeadiately.

I took a few pictures of the entry area while we were waiting...and waiting...and waiting.

Jennifer was our waitress...and boy was she spunky! She had a lot of energy.

Because of the loudness of the restraunt, you pretty much have to yell to place orders.

I apologize in advance for the coloring on these pictures. It is very difficult to take pictures in this restraunt at times due to the lighting.

For our appetizers, I ordered T-Rexadillas - Chicken, peppers, green onions, Monterey jack and cheddar cheeses grilled in flour tortillas and served with pico de gallo, sour cream, guacamole. These were pretty much your standard type quesadillas that you would find at Chili's or Applebee's. Nothing terribly special or memorable about them.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0898.jpg

Bo ordered Footprints Flatbread - Warm flatbread topped with cheddar, mozzarella, parmesan and goat cheese, rotisserie chicken and carmelized onions, drizzled with a balsamic glaze. This was very good. I had 2 pieces of this and really wished I had ordered this instead of my quesadillas.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0900.jpg

Hunter ordered Pterosaur Wings - traditional style Buffalo Wings served with carrots, celery sticks, and Blue Cheese dressing. He thought they were a bit spicy. Bo & I both tried one, and we didnt think they had much heat at all.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0902.jpg

Harper ordered Melalosaurus Mozzarella - Seared Mozzarella with creamy marinara and mozzarella fingers. She enjoyed these and ate them all.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0899.jpg

For our entrees, I ordered Pork-asaurus Sandwich - smoke pulled pork simmered in BBQ sauce, served on a toasted bun with an onion ring and cole slaw. I subbed waffle fries because Jaxon wanted some french fries. Let me preface this by saying that I am from the South and I have had a lot of good BBQ in my life -- was I expecting that from T-Rex, of course not. This was just ok for me. It was very messy, and I had to eat it with a fork for the most part. The meat was a bit drier than my liking. The BBQ sauce was ok. I did not have any of the waffle fries.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0909.jpg

Bo chose Pteradactyl Salad - Roasted chicken, mixed greens, celery, tomatoes, Bleu cheese crumbles, chopped egg and bacon. Tossed balsamic vinaigrette dressing. He ordered his without the egg as he does not eat eggs. He enjoyed this as a somewhat lighter lunch. He couldnt eat it all.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0910.jpg

Hunter ordered Mega Mes-O-Bones - Tender, slow-roasted St.Louis Ribs, basted with BBQ sauce. Served with your choice of two of the following sides: garlic mashed potatoes, waffle fries, Raptor rice, baked beans, cinnamon apples, cole slaw or roasted vegetables. You had the option of ordering a full rack or half rack. Hunter ordered the half rack with fries and cinnamon apples. He enjoyed these, but they were very messy as to be expected. It was a lot of food and he came no where close to finishing. He ate a few fries and a few bites of the cinnamon apples.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0905.jpg

Harper ordered Lava Tomato Basil Soup - garnished with Parmesan cheese. She enjoyed this and said it would be very good with a grilled cheese sandwich.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0903.jpg

For both little boys we ordered Paleo Pizza - Cheese or pepperoni. We got cheese for both of them. They both had a few bites and then managed to fall asleep in the loud restraunt. The little bite I had, the sauce tasted kind of funky...dont know what it was.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0908.jpg

None of us were hungry for dessert. Jennifer suggested the create your own smoothies and mentioned she could put them in a to-go cup. We decided we would do that.

I ordered a double banana smoothie. Bo ordered a strawberry banana smoothie. Hunter ordered a double strawberry smoothie. Harper ordered a banana chocolate sauce smoothie. No pictures, but we all enjoyed our smoothies throughout the afternoon while walking around Downtown Disney.

Since the little boys were still sleeping, Jennifer said she could get them Saber-tooth Sundae - A chocolate chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce (minus the ice cream and chocolate sauce) -- in other words, 2 chocolate chip cookies to go.

Our total meal cost not including automatic 18% gratuitiy was $181.00 - 6TS credits used

Would we return, maybe eventually. The kids enjoyed the atmosphere, but the food is no better than a standard Chili's or something similar.

We finally left T-Rex at 330pm!!! Crazy!

Up next, finishing up at Downtown Disney

Day 5, Part 4 Downtown Disney

After we finished up at T-Rex, Bo took Hunter & the little boys to the Lego store, while Harper & I were headed to the Christmas store to buy ornaments for everyone. Along the way, we enjoyed our smoothies from T-Rex (which were quite yummy!!)

Before straying from the Lego store, I did have to take some pictures of the amazing creations -- I cant believe the talent these people have!!

We made it to the Christmas store and picked out 6 ornaments, 1 for each of us. These will be hung on our tree next year.

We then headed back to the Lego store to meet up with Bo and the boys. Hunter had picked out a Lego set he wanted, so I went and paid for that. We decided to leave Downtown Disney, but we took a few more pictures on the way to the bus stop.

When we arrived back to our room, we had a message from the Inkeepers Lounge that there had been numerous problems with KTTW cards at the parks over the last day or so and we should come up to the lounge to get new ones issued. So, I headed up to the lounge and got that taken care of.

We relaxed in the room for a little bit before we had to change for dinner and head over to Yacht Club.

Up next, Yachtsman

I'm glad you enjoyed T-Rex! We got almost the same things!

Kona looks delicious ... and it surprises me how much the Poly reminds me of Aulani!

Btw... If I haven't mentioned it before... love your kids... they're awesome...:goodvibes

Also loving your photos of the Boardwalk... I also love all those great whimsical touches they have throughout... How much fun must it have been for the decorator? (and so close to Epcot...:woohoo:)

Ah Kona... I would have to tie that with Boma for my favorite breakfast...:thumbsup2 I do like the Tonga Toast... but I'm with Bo on the Macadamian Pineapple Pancakes... love them... & with the pressed pot... Awesome way to get the day started...

I love your pictures of DTD during the day... because I feel I'm never there during the day... at night usually for dinner... they make me want to go there during the day...

Can't wait till I hear your review of Yachtsman... We had a ressie there in December... but we were so tired... we cancelled... but I have one in July so curious what you thought...:rolleyes1

Kona looks SO delicious! I really doubt we will ever eat there, because since we pay OOP for all of our TS meals, we don't do a sit down breakfast unless it is a character meal. It's nice to dream though! :cloud9:

Love all of the holiday decorations around DTD too. We don't usually spend a huge amount of time there, but the window displays are so cute, especially around the holidays. :goodvibes

Thanks! I think my kids are pretty awesome too ;)

BW became our absolute fave resort during this trip. Its a place we hope to be able to call "home" more often. Those whimsical touches are great. All the artwork just fits perfect into the theme.

Kona -- yum, yum! The pancakes are good too, but I cant stray from the Tonga Toast. And I'm not a coffee person, but he enjoys the pressed pot.

I rarely see Downtown Disney during the evening hours :rolleyes1

YS update coming up -- possibly tonight, otherwise tomorrow! It was delish!!! Please keep your ADR in July...dont cancel!

Oh you have to make it to Kona someday! I understand though about the character meals.

We dont tend to spend a ton of time at DTD either, so it was fun to just take a few hours and see some of it with the holiday decorations.

Day 5, Part 5 Yachtsman Steakhouse

On December 22, we had a 725pm ADR for Yachtsman.

Bo & I were very excited about this ADR.

We got changed into nicer clothes and headed out...

We decided we wanted to take the boat across to Yacht Club. Just as we were walking down to the boat dock area, a boat was pulling up so we didnt have to wait at all.

I no time we had arrived at YC. We went inside and noticed right away that Mickey and Minnie were doing a holiday M&G at the Christmas tree. We still had some time before our ADR so we decided to wait in line. There were only 2 families ahead of us, so in no time we were meeting Mickey and Minnie. They were SOOOO adorable in their holiday clothes!

The restraunt is beautiful and sort of tucked away from the rest of the hotel.

Bo asked our waiter for a wine recommendation. As per our waiters recommendation, we ordered a half bottle of Estancia Meritage Reserve, Paso Robles, 2008. We njoyed this wine. It was more of a medium body red wine (perfect since most full body red wines make me sneeze :rolleyes2)

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0961.jpg

The bread basket was brought out. Those onion rolls are so delish!! Bo & I really enjoyed these.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0962.jpg

For our appetizers, I ordered Lobster Bisque with Maine Lobster, Herbes de Provence Biscotti, and Roe Chantilly. This was good, nice flavor, large pieces of lobster.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0967.jpg

Bo ordered Nantucket Bay Scallops "Chowda" Style, Oyster Crackers, Fennel, Capers, and Chorizo. Oh my goodness, this was SOOOOO good!! I actually fell in love with this and Bo traded with me!! The flavors were so good together. Yum!! Wish I had a bowl of this right now!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0964.jpg

Hunter ordered Caesar Salad Crisp Romaine, Parmigiano, Coppa Secco, and Focaccoa Croutons. He liked this for the most part. He doesnt really like his salad to be a wedge, so that was really his only complaint.

Harper ordered Assortment of Artisanal Cheeses - sourdough Baguette and seasonal accoutrements. She did not like any of the cheeses -- and was freaked out by the "goo in a jar". Bo & I tried a bite of a few of the cheese and enjoyed them.

For our entrees, Bo & I ordered the same thing. 12-oz Prime New York Strip Steak Carmody Potato Gratin and Peppercorn-Brandy sauce. We ordered ours medium, and they were both cooked to perfection. The steak had a nice flavor, tender, no fat. The potato gratin was superb!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0968.jpg

Hunter & Harper both ordered the same thing as well. 8-oz Center Cut Filet Mignon Mashed Potatoes and Cabernet Wine Sauce. We ordered their steak medim-well. They both thought the steak was good as well as the mashed potoatoes, but neither could finish everything.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN0969.jpg

For the little boys, we ordered them macaroni and cheese since both are very picky about meats. They ate some of this, then began to get tired and Evan almost fell asleep at dinner.

Unfortunately, we were all too full to order dessert :rolleyes2, but we did end up getting something later from Boardwalk Bakery when we got back to the hotel.

Total meal before tax & automatic 18% gratuity was approx $250 + $38 OOP for half bottle of wine. 12TS credits used.

Would we eat at Yachtsman again, absolutely! The meal was quite nice and the restraunt is beautiful. The kids were well behaved -- in fact, as we were leaving our table, our waiter pulled Bo & I aside and said that he had never seen such well behaved children :goodvibes

They also had a train setup in the lobby that the little boys adored. There were so many cute little touches to the train set.

As we came up to the boat dock, we saw the fireworks from Illuminations starting. There was a boat that had just left, so we watched the fireworks from a different vantage point.

Just as Illuminations was ending, a boat came. We headed back to BW and as we came inside, there was a street performer doing some juggling tricks. We watched for a couple minutes, then headed up to the room to get the little boys in bed since it was about 10pm.

Even though I am begging Mother Nature for warm weather - I still love the Christmas time TR reports and seeing all the decorations. The Minnie & Mickey M&G looked great! I can't wait for your AK update!

Your photos of the Yacht Club decked out for the holidays are quite nice...love the trees and that train... and how nice to have a M&G...

That whole Boardwalk location is simply magical...

Mickey & Minnie's Christmas outfits were adorable! We missed the M&G at BW (not even sure who was supposed to be there), so I was very happy we saw them at YC!

YS was great! And the compliment from the waiter just topped off the evening.

Hunter loved that Oreo cupcake ;)

Thinking back on the Christmas trip and seeing all the pics just makes me so happy. I am very much looking forward to going back during Christmas in a few years.

The M&G was so cute! I wish we could have seen whoever was doing a M&G at BW too, but we were never there at the right time (even though we had a schedule of the M&G times :rolleyes2)

AK update coming up today!

Day 6, Part 1 Animal Kingdom & Tusker House bkfst

We woke up this morning birght and early and were headed off to Animal Kingdom today. We got down to the bus stop at 720am and waited a few minutes for the bus. Jaxon & Evan enjoyed their muffins that we purchased the night before from BW Bakery.

http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8229/8458976581_1a3c822921_z.jpg (http://www.flickr.com/photos/93051017@N04/8458976581/)

We arrived just as the park was opening at 8am. We headed off to Tusker House for our 815am ADR.

This was our first time for breakfast at TH. We had eaten lunch here a few years ago.

We checked in for our ADR and were quickly sent back for our picture with Donald Duck (luckily I did have time to run over to Kilamanjaro Safari to pick up FP for 910am return time). We were seated as soon as we were done -- maybe 15 min total.

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Dec23AK/Photo0226FourBySix.jpg

I do not have buffet pictures, but I do have pictures of a few of our plates.

My plate consisted of Mickey waffles, Ham and cheese fritatta, bacon, strawberry yogurt, mealie pap, warm banana-cinnamon bread pudding with vanilla sauce. I was happy with everything on my plate, but nothing can compare to the bread pudding. YUM!!

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN1028.jpg

Hunter was apparantly trying every pastry they had :lmao:

http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j365/debrapagliasotti/Food/DSCN1031.jpg

Jaxon & Evan had similar plates muffin, waffle, dry cereal, fruit

Day 6, Part 3 More animals, music & dinos

After we FINALLY pulled the little boys away from the exciting grate :rotfl2:, we headed off to the petting area. Jaxon and Evan loved this -- and Hunter and Harper seemed to have a good time too ;)

Jaxon thought it was hilarious that this goat was standing on the bench.

We still had some time before lunch, so we decided to head over to Dino Land. Hunter and Harper went to Prime Evil Whirl, and I took the little boys to wait in line for Santa Goofy and Pluto. Bo headed over to Expedition Everest to grab FP for later. We got a return time of 305pm.

Just as the little boys and I were about to see Santa Goofy and Pluto, Bo came back from getting FP and just moments later, Hunter and Harper came off Prime Evil Whirl (which they loved).

Not only did you get Goofy Santa but Pluto was a great bonus...

your tree pictures were so cute... I loved the Dino Land detailing in those trees...

I love Tusker House breakfast!

Great detail photos of the Christmas tree ornaments - love the dinosaurs! It looks like you had quite a good time with the African instruments, too! :goodvibes
