We will be going to our third WDW vacation next October right after our son turns two. I am planning our meals and notice that most of the sit down restaurants, including the character meals, list the children's prices starting at age 3. Does that mean that we will not have to pay for our two year old to eat?? This may be a really dumb question but we were concerned that maybe they just assume that kids under three won't be eating at those kinds of restaurants. Our son is a pretty adventurous eater, even at 15 months old, so we want to make sure that he will still get to eat at the sit down restuarants. We won't mind paying for him if we need to, I just need to know so that we can budget for meals.

If it is an "all-you-can-eat" meal, like a buffet or a character meal, with one set price you will not have to pay for your son. If it is a regular, sit-down restaurant with a menu you choose from you will have to pay for anything you order for him. When our kids were under three we rarely ordered them their own meal since there was always plenty on our plates to share.

Hope this helps.

A child that is under 3 is free at the buffets and the all you can eat type places. At a sitdown restaurant, if you order him a meal off the children's menu, you'll have to pay for it. If you choose to share one of your entrees, then there will not be a charge. I've taken my then one year old to Narcoossee's, Artist Point, Flying Fish, Le Cellier, Alfredo's, well most of the sitdowns actually, and have NEVER had a problem with us having a child with us. So, don't worry about taking your son anywhere and have a GREAT time!!!!

We were at the World last month with our 2 yo and did quite a few character meals and buffets and she was free at all of them. She always had her own plate and drink and ate quite a bit of a variety of foods. Very nice!
