HI everyone!!! We arrived home last night from an incredible Christmas Week Trip. I plan to let you know all the details, just getting this bad boy started.

So fasten your seat belts, and tug on the yellow strap, its going to be good!

There was pixie dust by the gallons - LOW RIDE WAIT TIMES (yes, it CAN be done during the busiest week of the year) and more fun than one family can stand.

There was smooth transportation, bumpy transportation, a Disney "commercial" moment or two, some tears from mom, CM magic, a little bit of sickness , princess transformations, wonderful character interaction, some great food, some good food, and some eh food, but over all a wonderful magical time. Santa, Lights, Decorations, Dole Whips, Candlelight processional, a wishes dessert party and more! I think my youngest daughter should play the lottery, she was so durned lucky our trip!

There were 1800 pictures taken by my daughter and myself, and 400 taken by Disney photopass! We had PP+, and there will be reviews of all that goodness.

I'll be back in a few to reserve a link's post, and do some introductions. When the photopass CD arrives, I'll come back and add some of those photos as well I hope you'll join me, and come along as I relive our magic. Also hope I can be helpful for anyone planning a trip during Christmas week. Ask questions, I'll be honest!

To start, here is a link to my pre-trip report. (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2986131) would our plans hold? would we make all our ADRs? Would the magic be as magical or would the crowds press us into a pulp?

Welcome! Along for this trip we have Me, Val 36 and the planner of this krewe.
My awesome prince charming, Jimmy, 38. My adorable princesses 11 and 7. Here is one of the photos we had taken in a magical moment in this trip that you'll hear more about soon.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/278_zps4ad0bc37.jpg

This is the girls second trip to Disney, my 3rd, and Hubby has lost count, since they lived in Florida and took lots of day trips. But we did plenty he'd never done before too.

It all began on Christmas Eve. Our flight was at 1230, but since it was Christmas Eve we had my MIL drop us off a little earlier than normal. It was not necessary. We had our bags dropped off and through security in about 10 mins total. So, we had plenty of time for this:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Airplane/valsphone248_zpsc8de769b.jpg

We were boarding group A, so we got settled in all together and the plane took off on time.

For our in flight snacking pleasure...

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Airplane/valsphone260_zps29d41f1e.jpg

Ready to get there!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Airplane/valsphone257_zps3be72c7d.jpg

We had an uneventful flight and landed at MCO on time. We took the fake monorail and and followed the path to DME. A bus was waiting when we got there, it was a MEARS bus so I didnt take a picture. After we got settled in, the full bus pulled off about five minutes later. We had a great driver, he told us jokes. A couple I remember are: Whats a pirate's favorite letter? Someone said Arrrrrh, and he said, I thought so too, but its really SEA.
And how much does a pirate pay for a ear piercing? about a "buck an ear" corny, but cute.
After a short ride we were pulling into POFQ!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/POFQ/Hannahscamerapictures086_zpsac74cfa6.jpg

Our room was ready, we got a corner room on the second floor of building three. Very nice. Clean, well maintained.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/POFQ/valsphone276_zps739a5a38.jpg

The resort was lovely! We had brought our Christmas Decorations carry on, so we unpacked those and put up our little tree and hung our stockings!

We went and got our resort mugs and then walked down the path to POR to get some dinner at that food court.

Up next, dinner, our first bus ride to....where did we go first?

Hi, great first introductions and post. I am looking forward to reading the rest!

Where I left off we were walking from POFQ to POR. The walk was lovely, POFQ is a very very peaceful resort. We strolled a long the path and arrived at POR for what would be our only visit! I thought we'd get back again so I didnt take pictures. It was about 530, and we went into the food court there to get some dinner.

For supper DH and I both got the bacon cheeseburger, and the girls got chili cheese hot dogs. For our dessert and drinks we got water and bananas, so we could have a banana for breakfast the next morning and water to carry with us to the parks. I neglected to take pictures because we were VERY hungry, we ate breakfast and just snacked on the plane. It was ok food, I mean a burger and hot dogs, nothing to write home about.

We made our way back to POFQ, by this time the horse drawn carriages were out and making tours along the path. We were itching to get to the parks, and we had planned to go to Hollywood Studios with the goal of just seeing the Osbourne Lights. Dropped off our mugs, grabbed our jackets and tickets and set off for the bus stop.

We waited about 5 mins for a Hollywood Studios bus, and it was a very quick trip. We got through the gate - the resort key tap system is AWESOME. We commented on how quick that was each day. *two thumbs up Disney!*

We stopped at the photopass center to trade our PP+ voucher for our lanyard, and while I was in line the girls made their first pin trade with a CM there. DD11 had decided to trade for stitch pins (her fave) and DD7 was just trading for what struck her as pretty. They had a blast checking out the pins on the CM lanyards with DH while I waited in a terribly long and slow moving line for our lanyard. BUT once I got to the counter, the trade for the voucher took literally seconds. The CM we had was awesome, she explained how it worked, and we were on our way.

*aside note, we noticed EVERYWHERE that CMs were just so durned HAPPY! how do they stay so positive and happy and friendly even with all those people everywhere? And you know people arent all nice? We went out of our way to pay attention to them and speak and say hi and so forth. Just their attitudes was pixie dust. More on that later though.

The park was super crowded, but CMs were everywhere directing traffic. It just came out of my mouth, "I wonder what the best way to get to the lights is' when a CM just stopped and said, right this way - and there were CMs lighting the way directing traffic - literally like airplanes! The kids were so excited.

We made our way around to the lights. They were breathtaking. Photos really do them no justice. If you are there during the holidays and havent seen them, make the time. I could have wandered around looking at them for much longer than we did. DD7 spied Santa Goofy, so we made a beeline for that!

Santa Goofy was well Goofy, and he wanted the girls to kick their feet up. They got so tickled.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/103_zps75bd5bd9.jpg

Then he grabbed DH and I and drug us into the picture, and we all made the pose.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/104_zps8c560dfb.jpg

I was laughing so hard I could hardly breathe. The wait for Santa Goofy was about 20 mins, which wasnt bad for 7ish on Christmas Eve I didnt think.

We made our way down the lights and took a few pictures.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/097_zps2901f713.jpg

Posed for a photopass photo (here is the one with my camera)
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/109_zps7f576689.jpg

We had fun looking for hidden Mickey's in the lights and spotting them. There are a bunch! the sign says 40, but a CM told DD7 there are really 60 so who knows.

After we wandered through the lights, the kids were itching to ride something, so we checked lines and Hollywood Tower of Terror had the shortest wait, of 25 mins. So of we went. I had never ridden TOT, and I couldnt prepare my DD7. DD11 and DH kept saying it was "no big deal" LIARS! :rolleyes1:eek::scared:

The queue for the ride was so cool! I enjoyed looking at the details, and kinda glad we had time to stop and look at the theming. Got to our elevator, and DD7 was :scared: but she buckled in and held on. She was so scared she couldnt scream. She was holding on to me going "Im scared I'm scared" and I told her to scream she'd feel better. She said "I cant I cant breathe" but she survived. She was in tears by the time it was over. I felt very very bad for her. You can see from our photo that she was NOT a happy camper.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/42779390000_zps974de19d.jpg

After we got off she was very upset, and crying and her heart was beating super fast. So we distracted her with something that works for every girl - retail therapy. She chose to spend her first spending money on a baby Marie (her favorite character) DD11 bought a stuffed Stitch, and we decided to go back to the resort, because SANTA :santa: was on his way, and we needed to be at EPCOT early on 12/25.

Got back to our room, and got everyone settled in for our "long winters nap" and I couldn't sleep! I probably didnt fall asleep until 230 or so I was so excited for EPCOT!

She decided she didn't like thrill rides at all.she had been so excited to be tall enough, that changed after TOT. Haha. We got her n a few more things....but not a single coaster. :( I'm afraid we scared her!

Joining in and looking forward to the rest of your trip report:)

Tell your dd7 that I completely understand. I have not ridden TOT since 2008 and I never ever will again. My husband also rode on that trip with dd15 and "screamed like a little girl" according to dd.:rotfl:

It's terrifying. Much more civilized to shop:rotfl:

Poor me didnt sleep well at ALL Christmas eve night. I was excited to go to EPCOT, and worried about the delivery of Santa. I mean we were sharing a small room, how would Santa not wake us up??

At some point I finally drifted off, and all too soon the alarm was going off. We had to be up and at them early to do our Santa pressies and make the 8am opening at EPCOT. We were also an hour ahead of our normal time, so it felt super early to get up at 6am.

Santa, that sneaky elf, he managed to get in and out without waking anyone. He stashed the loot under the sink behind the curtain. Smart Santa. AND bless him he charged all the batteries. ;)

Here are a few pictures from that early morning.

DD7 was super tickled over her ipod touch

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/222_zpsab5e5068.jpg

DD11 was also super excited over her nikon coolpix
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/224_zps95528a26.jpg

There were also gift cards:
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/223_zpsd828b2d2.jpg

Invites to BBB for later in the week:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/226_zpsc3a6ec40.jpg

Some new pins to trade, some new headphones for each, and some odds and ends stocking stuffers.

Def a smaller stash of loot than might have had at home, but heck, we were in DISNEY!

That took all of 10 mins, so it was time to get dressed, grab a cereal bar and banana and hit the trails to EPCOT.

Do you think we made it? Did the bus take FOREVER? Would we have ANY fun in Disney during Christmas? Stay tuned!

After we had our quick bite of breakfast, we grabbed our KTTW cards, and our park bag and made our way to the bus stop. We got there at 705, and in just a few minutes a bus to EPCOT pulled up. We were on our way!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/valsphone279_zps564cb8b2.jpg

We arrived at EPCOT at 725.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures003_zpsc022aa0b.jpg

People were already lined up at the middle turnstiles, but because I DIS, I knew you could walk up to any of them. So we went over to the next set and got in line, right next to the RFID tap stations. The CM at the turnstile told us to get in line at the regular ones, b/c sometimes the RFID stations don't come up online right at opening, so they wait before they line people up there. That was fine, the regular old turnstiles work just fine.

The CM at our gate was awesome. She chatted with us and talked to us about Christmas and about MK and the crowds on CE. Someone asked what capacity was at MK, with the Fantasyland Expansion, and she went and talked to a "suit" by the gate, and came back and said "ooops, we arent supposed to tell you that, and she wouldnt tell me" :rotfl2:

At about 745, they turned the turnstiles on and the opening song began. I cried. I'm such a sap. I had never heard the welcome song at EPCOT, but my goodness it was sweet. We had fun saying hello in all the languages. Then, it was ON! We were one of the first families all the way in.

And we're off! We walked, not ran, not jogged, I hate that "race" for FPs. So we strolled, and made our way to Soarin' to get FP.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/230_zps0e0e988f.jpg

Our plan was to grab FP for Soarin, so we could go through the queue in Test Track. After I almost grabbed FP for the "land" ride - thanks to the CM that said, um are you sure you arent looking for Soarin'?? :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I said, matter of fact, I am. :rolleyes1 I got our four FPs and came back out of the land to meet up with the family.

We started walking towards Test Track. And read the map wrong, and took a wrong turn. :sad2: BUT it turned out to be an AWESOME wrong turn.

Stay Tuned!!

Are you ready for the first GALLONS of pixie dust that was dropped on our magical Christmas vacation, at 805 am in EPCOT 12/25/12? Are you ready??

I hope you are. I hope you have tissues because every time I look at this set of photos I tear up.

pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

We turned a corner, and a whole slew of CMs and photopass photogs were coming out of a building....

with none other than, MICKEY, MINNIE AND PLUTO. All together.

My dds saw them and dd7 squealed. Grabbed on to her santa hat and took off running as the CMs were waving her over to them. And then, Minnie opened her arms and started running TOWARDS my DD7. And then Pluto. And then Mickey. Check out the series I managed to snap. pixiedust::yay:

Minnie made a big deal over DD11s Christmas jewelry. She loved the fact that it matched! They all pointed at our shirts and just danced around.

Then they took the girls by the hand and took them off to a place to pose for photos

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/258_zps10923dd6.jpg

I'll add a couple of mine for now, and when photopass comes in I'll update with those.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/278_zps4ad0bc37.jpg

After this could we possible have any more magic??? After our "uhoh" detour that turned into WOW, it was time to RIDE some RIDES!!!!

Would we like Test Track? Did we make our Soarin time? Would we get ANYTHING accomplished the busiest week of the year?

I'll add a couple of mine for now, and when photopass comes in I'll update with those.

After this could we possible have any more magic??? After our "uhoh" detour that turned into WOW, it was time to RIDE some RIDES!!!!

Would we like Test Track? Did we make our Soarin time? Would we get ANYTHING accomplished the busiest week of the year?

I LOVE this so much. People wonder why we keep going back - it's not the rides and everything it's THESE moments, the unplanned magical moments whether its super Disney magic like this or the magic you create together. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!! You can't put a price or dollar amount on this stuff!!

Oh WOW!!!!! Those pics are the best :-) they gave me goosebumps of the good kind!!

That is very special. I remember when I was 9 yrs old my parents took me to Disneyland....one time we took a wrong turn & bumped into Mickey coming out of a behind the scenes door. I acted like your DD7 & Mickey grabbed me & we danced together :-) It was the highlight for me!!

Magic memories that last a lifetime <3

Maybe your trip report will convince me that it is not. ;) I wont lie, it WAS crazy, but it was so much fun! and if you aren't a rope drop or late night family, it would be tough. Middle of the day to early evening was insane, which you'll hear more about that later. But we avoided those times mostly, and had very low waits for even the big rides. Id go back. It only took one day for my family to be 100% on board with early. Then we did a late night and the girls were just giggling being able to walk on rides.

Loved your photos of Minnie, Mickey and Pluto !! How awesome was that??!! Also, I LOVE your shirts !!! Those are super cute !!! It was SO awesome. And thanks! the woman I bought them from on etsy did a great job.

I left off at our Magical Moment AKA our Disney Commercial moment.
After our fun with Mickey, Minnie and Pluto we went over to Test Track. It was about 810 when we got there. Our FPs for Soarin were for 830-930 so we had plenty of time. The SB wait for TT was 10 mins. (yeah!)

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures022_zps39661a66.jpg
Got in line and in a snap we were in the car design room. The queue was cool. * caveat: I never rode the old TT, so I have nothing to compare it too.

We had a blast designing our cars. Well, DD7 and I did I let her do it, and we ended up with a lime green monster car with butterflies on it. :lmao:

DD11 and DH were being all serious trying to get the best numbers out of their car, and they crashed their machine. Figures, my IT husband would crash a computer at Disney. So they had to move to another one, and then we werent in the same line later, but it worked out.

The ride was fun! Then to the photopass line to get our pictures. I had heard that the line is sometimes really long, but we didnt experience that at all. we really enjoyed pp+!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/42779390001_zps2ff8e03e.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/42779390003_zpse98e5943.jpg

The performance scores came in and DD7s monster car with butterflies did just as good as DH and DD11s. That was pretty funny. We played around in the car racetrack area for awhile before heading out.

By now it was time to use or Soarin' FP, and the kids (and daddy) enjoyed TT so much that we grabbed FPs for it to use later. The return time was 920-1020 which worked perfectly for our plan.

We strolled back to Soarin' to use or FP. I had never been on Soarin' because at our last trip we were standing on the little gliders in the floor when DD7 who was 4 then had to go to the bathroom. :rolleyes1 they offered us a rider swap card, but then she fell on the way down the ramp and was done for the night. So I REALLY looked forward to this ride!

It was great! I loved it! DD7 did too. So very cool.

From there we went and road Nemo b/c DD7 remembered that ride from last time, and then we went to spaceship earth. We actually had to wait in line for a little bit. The crowd was starting to build, I guess it was about 930 by the time we got off spaceship earth. We made our way slowly back to Test Track, and used our FPs. We decided not to build the car this time and just go to the ride. We were in the same car this time

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/42779390002_zps3beb6ae6.jpg

After our race, we checked out the display cars.

Foreshadowing? :rotfl2:

By this time it was about 1045, and even though we had reservations at Le Cellier at noon, I knew if I didnt get a snack I was going to regret it. So we stopped and got a pretzel to share, and two frozen lemonades to share. I could tell I need some carbs/sugar or I was going to get sick. So we sat on a wall and rested our feet, enjoyed the sites and ate our snack while we waited for the WS to open at 11. Hubby decided to pick up a bag of trail mix with a snack credit too, and add that to our bag in case I felt bad again.

Next up, Le Cellier on Christmas Day!

I cant take it I want to keep writing. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I know I should pace myself so I can relive the trip, but I want to relive it NOW!!!

So after our break on the wall to rest our feet and have a snack, we wandered into the world showcase, headed towards Canada and our 1150 reservation at Le Cellier. I had heard sometimes they back up, so I wanted to check in 15 mins early. It was about 1110 ish after our little rest break. So we just looked around Canada, and snapped some photos. The WS is so pretty!

I loved this little cottage, I could so live there! http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/303_zps888ee85d.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/295_zpse8d93167.jpg

After we explored around Canada, it was about 1130 so we made our way to the check in at Le Cellier. There were a lot of people in the waiting area. We checked in and took the last chairs. A family came in after that and asked if there was anyway the could be worked in, and the lady told them that Le Cellier had no openings until mid January. The lady was NOT happy, but she left with out too much complaint. We only waited about 5 mins for a table, so we were seated about 10 mins before our ADR time. I wasnt feeling very well, I had gotten to hot, and I was bummed b/c I had really been looking forward to this meal.

We settled in, and decided what to order. We had the CP package so we got app, entree and dessert. I got the cheddar soup, filet, with the risotto, and the mousse. DD7 got the soup, spag and ice cream sundae. DD11 got the soup, the NY Strip, and ice cream. DH got the mussels, the NY Strip and creme brulee. I took a few pictures. The food tasted good, but I couldnt eat much, which bummed me out a lot! I did think the filet had a little too much garlic and salt. The soup was GREAT! but I was too hot to eat much of it. DH and DD11 really enjoyed their meals, but DD7 didnt like her spag. She ended up eating more of my soup. The pretzel bread was great!

Here are a few pictures. It was very dark and I didnt want to flash like crazy so I only took a couple.

Service was ok, and the meal was actually pretty fast. We were out of there by about 1. We were full, and tired so we decided to take a break because the crowds had really shown up! We made our way to the gate and took the bus back to the resort. We knew we needed to leave about 3-330 to make it back to the CP line by 430, so I took the kids to swim and relax in a pool chair. Swimming on Christmas Day, thats not something we can do at home!!

It's a canon t3i, that I got for Christmas 2011. I love it! Some are from Dd11s Nikon cool pix too, but so far only 2 in the report. The EPCOT sign and the TestTrack sign. The pool pictures are from my iPad.

Before I get started - I ordered my photopass CD, an ornament and calendar on 1/1. The ornament and calendar came yesterday - LOVE!

The photopass CD shipped yesterday, so I should get it soon and then look out!!
I also remembered that I have an 8x8 shutterfly book for free from buying my ipad at best buy - oh boy!

Ok so back to the trip. I left off with the girls in the pool Christmas day, with us having Candlelight Processional stickers for 5pm. I got the kids out of the pool about 3, and we got back to the bus stop at 330. I figured that would give us PLENTY of time to get to EPCOT, and take the boat over near America and get in line by 430. Best laid plans.... queue creepy music - duh- duh duuuuuh....

So we make the bus stop at 330. I had been watching the lines app all day, and I could tell that EPCOT was crowded. Rumor had it that MK had reached phase 2 closure at 11 am, and I think phase 3 sometime afternoon.

We didn't wait very long for the bus, and it only took 15 mins to get to EPCOT, but the place was SLAMMED. We had "smartly" decided not to take a bag back with us, so it was just us, our lanyards and my camera with the long lens for the processional. we made it through the gates at about 4. I never realized how BIG the WS is until I was on one side, needing to get exactly half way around in 30 mins, in a sea of humanity. We went to the boat launch....
but I bet there were 2, maybe THREE boat fulls of people waiting to get on the next one. Here is a picture of where we walked through the line - people were lined up all the way to the next break in the pathway. http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures121_zps0c365c8b.jpg
I looked at DH, he looked at me, we looked across the lake and checked the time, and decided we better just hoof it. AND we went left. I thought I read the line was to the left of the CP.... DUH DUH DUUUUUHHHH....

And away we went, in a single file line with me in the front, the kids behind and hubby bringing up the rear, holding hands. We channeled our college days of navigating New Orleans. Oh MY GOSH. I have never seen so many people in one place in my LIFE (up until that point *foreshadowing*)

And we squeezed, cajoled, darted, practically half jogged our way around the WS. Poor DD11 was taking pictures as we went - talk about "drive by WS photography" here are a few.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures123_zps95ecbb37.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures128_zpsfb41b102.jpg

FINALLY we saw the line...and guess what? it was 427, and it was the end of the standby line. :rotfl2: drat. We went the wrong way! (and that SB long was HUGE) so we kept hoofing it. FINALLY at 435 we saw this

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures146_zps42c155d7.jpg

And I asked a CM pointed us to keep going around the WS to the end of the CP line.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures148_zps6e3da520.jpg

FINALLY at 440 we found the end, which was starting to move b/c they were loading the theater. So, bad news is we were out of breath from walking nearly 3/4 of the way around the WS, but the good news is we didnt have to stand in line. :lmao:

I was catching my breath, so DD11 snapped a few pictures as we were walking back toward the CP theater.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures147_zpsf8e8d4ce.jpg

We loaded in the theater and set down next to a couple, near the middle, who had empty seats on the far side. We were settled and relaxing, when the guy in front of my DH put up a video camera on an tripod. The couple told us that the seats on the other side weren't saved so we moved over to the other side of that couple. I was NOT going to watch through a video camera! He had the tripod sitting ON the bench! People kept trying to get him to take it down but he ignored everyone behind him. DD7 laid down on and put her head in my lap and her legs in her dad's, and was out cold in about 2 mins. She slept the 15 mins before the show. I cant remember the last time she took a nap, so she must have been TIRED!

So they were loading the theater, and scrunching us, and we ended up directly in the center. :cool1: and CM came over and told the man he could video, but only if he held it in his hand, he couldnt block the view of others.
He took it down, but as soon as she walked away he went to put it back up on the bench, and this guy behind him about 3x rows back, said I DONT THINK SO BUDDY! And the whole section started clapping. Needless to day, dude kept is video camera down after that. I got tickled, but I was glad "peer pressure" worked. About 10 rows of standby got in for our show. And it was TIME! I had looked forward to this ever since I booked our trip and scored the CP package at Le Cellier. It was a beautiful mild evening, and the music was gorgeous! We had great seats. Gary Sinse did great job, it was perfect!

I only took a few pictures, because I wanted to be 'in the moment' and I didnt want to have my camera up the whole time so people didnt have to look at it. here are a few:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures171_zpsefb7fc6c.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/322_zps4e2fcb63.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/329_zps538cdb60.jpg

It was so beautiful. A perfect way to spend Christmas evening. I loved every second of it. So did my family. I would TOTALLY do it again (but I'd plan better so we didnt have to walk so fast).

After it was over, we decided since we were coming back on Sunday to just stop by Germany and get some treats, and head to the resort since the crowded just kept getting bigger and bigger! We waited nearly 30 mins for treats in Germany, and they had probably 8 people working the counter?! Nuts! We got a caramel apple, a chocolate apple, and some caramel popcorn. The apples arent snack credits, but the popcorn was. We got them to slice the apples for us and package it all up to go.

We did our single file line again and made it around to the exit - and only got clipped by one stroller in the process. :lmao:

Stopped for a photopass shot outside, this one is on DD11s camera (I had my long lens on, so no good for mine). The photopass CD has a few more I'll add later.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/EPCOT/Hannahscamerapictures209_zps8ffaf625.jpg

After a long, but beautiful, fun Christmas, we headed back to POFQ. We spent two CS credits on a pizza package - which is a good expense of credits, if you need to stretch them. And the pizza wasnt bad either. We got water and fruit as the drink and snacks, and nibbled on our snacks from Germany to close out the evening. Everyone got a shower, and it was lights out early, because -12/26 is our MK day, and the EMH was at 7. DH had agreed to "rope drop" but he never actually ASKED what time that was...

Would I be able to get my krewe up and to the bus stop? Would crowds crush us at MK? Stay tuned!

Hey everyone, sorry to leave you hanging! I promise I'm writing about MK on 12/26 as soon as my photopass CD comes in! it threatened to rain (and did) that day so I didnt take my big camera, we only had a point and shoot and got photopass, so I wanted to wait until the CD gets here.

Good news, is it shipped and is on the way! I should have it in the next couple of days. :goodvibes

My CD will be here tomorrow, so I will start MK today, and just get to the first photopass shoot. I'm having with withdrawals. :thumbsup2

So after our near perfect day at EPCOT, we went to bed fairly early because we had plans to be in MK before opening. DH was on board with the plan, and so were the kids, after they saw how short (non existent) lines were early.

So the alarm goes off, the family pops up no trouble, had a light breakfast, and headed to the door. When I opened the door, DH said "exactly what time IS it anyway??" Cus it was still dark. :rotfl2: I said sheepishly 550. :rolleyes1

Got to the Bus stop at a couple mins before 6  (go team!)
Here is a picture from my cell phone at the bus stop.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/valsphone311_zps8b6fe968.jpg

Hehe yeah its dark. And yeah, they look at little tired. But we were at the bus stop.

Bus pulls up about 10 after 6, and we are on our way to MK! We get there, get through bag check and the turnstile, waiting by the tunnel by 630. I was so excited!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Hannahscamerapictures218_zps51e805fb.jpg

We got to see the opening show! We didn't take any pictures, we just soaked up the moment! They let us in to the park a few minutes before 7 am! We paused to take an early morning photopass photo by the Christmas tree.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0070FourBySix_zps74a3540f.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0073FourBySix_zps16c2352b.jpg

Then I snapped this with DDs camera - note sun still not all the way up (and it was cloudy)
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Hannahscamerapictures226_zps1ac604a3.jpg there seem to be a lot of people there, but we were at the back of the pack that came in at 7. They were in a hurry, so soon it cleared out

Then photopass one on main street with the castle.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0084FourBySix_zpsf65d56df.jpg

and we walked pretty much alone to...

TOMORROWLAND!

First ride? BUZZ! It was cool to just walk on. We came around to look at the pictures, but alas, Zerg zapped 'em. Then DD11 and DH wanted to ride Space Mtn, but DD7 didnt. So they headed off to Space, and DD7 and I walked on Buzz three more times in a row! Zerg zapped all our pictures, and we forgot to give DH/DD11 the card and they didnt know you could write the number down and come back and get the photo. oh well!

We met back up and it was on to Stitch's Great Escape. My DD11s FAVE Character is Stitch so we had to ride. It wasnt AS bad as I thought it would be. :rotfl2: DD11 loved it. Then we did the Laugh Floor, but DD7 wanted to. That was hilarious!! I laughed until I hurt, and I thought it would be cheesy.

Afterwards, I knew it was about time for Stitch to come out to M&G so we went to ask a CM. They told us he was doing the dance party that day, and it would be later. We decided that we should make our way to Fantasyland/New Fantasyland since it was getting close to 8, when the park opened and people would head that way. We wanted to get ahead of the crowds if possible. :cool1:

And now I have to stop, b/c this is where the good photopass starts! And I apologize for the lack of pictures, we left our big camera in the room b/c it was supposed to rain today.

They realized that it was worth it at EPCOT the day before when they saw the lines for attractions by 1030. So I had no trouble. We slept in two days on our trip though.

I'm loving your trip report. If I can ever handle going to Disney at Christmas I'm looking for you!

Awww! You could do it! :goodvibes

Got the CD, well TWO CDs, transferred and uploaded them so I'm ready to roll! I hope to get an update out tonight.

Sorry I missed the transition from PTR to TR so Iím playing catch-up in a big way.

Nice that there was no hassle at the airport. I think we had that same MEARS driver on one of our trips from POP to Universal Ė same jokes anyways. Nice room and looks like a very relaxing place to stay. And another PP+ user! As Iíve said on my own and other TRs, sooo worth it! Our whole fam was doing the exact same thing for our DD11 in trying to get Stitch pins :lmao:

Yay for good CMs! Iím with you as far as the Osborne lights go, I could have stayed there a lot longer than the rest of the fam just taking it in. Nice shot of the girls with Santa Goofy. Sorry that DD7 didnít have fun on ToT, poor thing. Good call with the Ďretail therapyí.

Way to go Santa with the great (and fully charged) presents for the kiddos!

Funny about the CM not being able to tell you what capacity was at MK. Very cool that you were one of the first families thru and that the CM in the land got you steered in the right direction for Soariní FPs. That is SO COOL that your wrong turn brought you to that magical experience between your daughter and the characters. It made me tear up for sure and in the last pic when your daughter turns around from Mickey it looks like one of the CMs was wiping a tear too :goodvibes

TT was in soft opening when we were there and kept breaking down which lead to 2+ hr waits so we didnít bother. Thank you for giving a feel for it. Now I want to do it just for the car design to see if I can crash a computer too! Certainly a respectable list of thrill rides for Christmas day! :thumbsup2

Sorry you werenít feeling well for your Le Cellier rese, I know it is something to look forward to in any WDW trip. Good call in leaving and having a relaxing afternoon. I didnít even know MK closed in phases, learn something new every day.

One hint I can tell you about getting to the processional if you build in the time. Take the park bus to DHS and go right down to the boat launch. Take that boat through the resort hops and on to WS. Itíll put you at the England pavilion and depending on the length of the line youíll be to it sooner than you think. It does require an hour on the safe side to do the DHS bus and boat ride. Saves a LOT of walking/crowds though. Sorry you ended up going the wrong way :(

What a loser that guy with the tripod was. Iím glad you were able to move on the other side of him and eventually end up in the center. And yay for the CM and the guy 3 rows back putting that guy in his place! A friend of mine was there around the same time as you and caught Gary Sinise and agrees that he was great. Nice shots with the long lens! What a wonderful Christmas, one Iím sure your family will remember for years to come :santa:

I donít feel quite as bad now about getting my crew up early our first couple of days Ė I never tried to pull off a pre-6am morning with them :rotfl2: Nice start to the day with all you were able to do in Tomorrowland! Canít wait to see those PP pics!

THIS would have been nice to know on 12/25. Our plan had been to stay at EPCOT all day, trying to catch holiday storytellers so I didnt look into the transportation to get to WS from outside. I knew there was something, but I couldnt recall it, and I couldnt pick up wi-fi from the pool, so we just went with it. But yeah, that would have been nice!! :rotfl2: There is another instance with transportation that could have been avoided later in the trip...next time we go I will be sure I know ALL the options!!

Working on an update, and I posted photopass from DHS and EPCOT in one post, but then added the MK ones back to MK. :goodvibes

So we left from Tomorrowland, with our eye on Fantasyland. The sun was up and out now, and there was a photopass photographer on the bridge from Tomorrowland to the castle. (MOM!) no actually they never complained about pictures. Maybe because I've snapping picture like crazy since before they were born. :rotfl2:

She didnt have a tripod, so DD7 asked her polietly if she did magic shots. She said why yes ma'am I do! What did you have in mind? DD11 asked about stitch, and she said, I dont do those, but in AK you can get it. I do some though you want to try? We said "SURE!"

So....ta da! (I heart magic shots)

The photographer told us that the line was building for Enchanted Tales with Belle, so we grabbed FPs for Under the Sea and hopped in line for ETWB. The sign said 50 mins - and it was totally right. exactly 50 mins.

DD7 was looking at me, even though I was trying to get her to look at the photopass photog. :rotfl2: (they are well trained to pose I guess for me)

Totally worth the wait! It was ADORABLE. The theme of the queue and the cottage were great, and the mirror was way too cool. The wardrobe was cool too. The CM asked if anyone else wanted a part, and DD11 raised her hand, but they didnt see her and she was bummed about that. The little show is cute too, and they let other people get in line for pictures.

After our visit with Belle, it was time to use our FP for Under the Sea. It was cute, but not a "must do" if we go back. Paused to take this photo

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Hannahscamerapictures265-Copy_zpsde957502.jpg

Then back to get FP for Peter Pan. We got bonus FPs for Philharmagic, and while I was getting the FPs, the kids found this:

Yes, that is a near empty Fantasyland, at about 915am 12/26/12!!!

From there we went to Philharmagic - we LOVE that show, and then we had enough time to ride Its a Small World before our PP FP was ready.

Enjoyed it- except we got stuck in the polynesian area right next to the Hula dancers. For like 15 mins. I was very tired of hula by the time we got out. DH snickered and said - at least we arent in the room where they are singing the song in all the languages...

TRUE DAT!

It was the exact opening of our FP time for Peter Pan (1035 am) when we came out, so straight over there we went. I LOVE Peter. And so do the DDs. I rode with DH11 this time and DH rode with DD7.

If you are keeping score, between 7-1045 we rode Buzz 4x, Space Mtn, Stitch's Great Escape, Laugh Floor, ETWB, Under the Sea, Philarmagic, IASW, and Peter Pan, and posed with 3 different photopass photogs

It was now about 1045...what fun would be next?

We decided we should make our way to some lunch, and everyone wanted Cosmic Rays. So we made our way over back to Tomorrowland.

And, who did we happen to stumble across? PUSH! None of us had ever seen PUSH, so that was a neat treat. We didnt take pictures we just watched him dance. He was dancing to "Dynamite".

Then to Cosmic Rays! DH, DD11 and I got burgers, and hit the toppings bar. DD7 wanted chicken nuggets. I liked the "cant sit until you have food rule", and I liked them seating us. As soon as we got food and got our toppings, we were seated immediatly. So it was about 1130 when we finished our lunch, and it was SLAMMED! Its like people just magically appeared. :rotfl2: We came out of lunch and were like WHERE did these PEOPLE come from??? :rotfl2:

So next up, the Peoplemover. We figured that would be a nice way to let our lunch settle, and take in the sites. Very relaxing ride. From the peoplemover, we spotted a very important person to my DD11, and as soon as we got off we had to head to see....

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Hannahscamerapictures271_zps353ae24c.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Hannahscamerapictures266-Copy_zps9417c2ba.jpg

It looked like it might threaten to rain, any minute...

DD7 was itching to get to Castle Couture, so we decided to let her do some shopping. It started to sprinkle on our way to the shop, and just as we got there, the bottom fell out! So, we passed some time shopping for DD7 to pick out the dress she wanted, for her BBB appt on Friday. She chose Tinkerbelle, including wings and the flower ring for her head. While we were picking out, trying on and buying, DD11 was shopping and bought a couple of BFF necklaces for her best friends.

Of course as soon as we bought it DD7 had to put her Tink dress on, and then we got out the ponchos. We weren't gonna let a little rain stop us!! We made our way in the rain over to...

ADVENTURELAND!

It was raining SO hard, no one was out. there was a 0 min wait for Magic Carpets, but we decided to keep going and to Pirates. Most people were hanging out under awings and not moving, so the line wasn't building at Pirates. We rode Pirates, I love that ride! Then shopped in the gift shop. A coworker had asked me to pick up the Pirate Periodic Table tshirt for him, he wanted it over Thanksgiving, so we got that and the girls got swords and DD7 also got a periscope.

When we came out of the store, the sun was out, it was heating up and the crowds were back! It was about 130, so we decided that a DOLE WHIP was in order!! :cool1:

DH and I got Floats
http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t396/vealley76/Snapbucket/8BB7F313_zps6ee19634.jpg

DD7 got the orange/vanilla

DD11 got pineapple/vanilla
http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t396/vealley76/Snapbucket/6D2B5BF0_zps92d951f5.jpg

While we were sitting, we realized we were very very very tired. Like so tired the thought of walking made me want to cry. :rotfl2:

We sat there for about 20 mins, and decided that it was time to call it a day. It was about 230, and we have reservations at the Plaza at 5, but we didnt even care. We made our way to the front of the park, when DD7 spied her FAVORITE Character!!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0187FourBySix_zps9e23e80c.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0183FourBySix_zpsd9359e7e.jpg

Then a very weary crew walked toward the bus stop. A POFQ bus was there, but we saw the door close and heard him put the bus in gear, but we waved, and HE WAITED Talk about pixie dust. The thought of waiting 20 more mins was almost unbearable!! There was only one other couple on the bus, they had seen us and pointed us out, and the driver said if it was ok, he'd wait. They said it was. We thanked them all so much! so 15 mins later we arrived at the resort. We tried to tip the driver for waiting (I know its not a tipped position but we wanted to try in this case, since he didnt HAVE to wait) but he wouldnt take it, but he was very appreciative of the offer.

It was now about 3- we had reservations in 2 hours that I KNEW we'd never be able to make, so would we find anything else to eat?

Stopped at the concierge to ask.....

Wonder what they said?

So it was about 3pm when we got to POFQ. The Mardi Gras man was opening the door and giving out doubloons.

DH and the kids sat on the bench while I went to see if concierge could help us out with our reservation. Thankfully, the Plaza isnt one that requires a credit card, so I knew I wouldn't be taking the hit cancelling.

The CM at Concierge was so NICE. I dont remember his name, unfortunatly, I was so tired I could barely remember mine. But he looked for dining for us, we decided to get something late, so we could take a nap. There werent many things available, but he recommended the Wave in the Contemporary. I took an 830 pm reservation, which is late for us, but I figured if we took a nap and rested that would be fine. Plus we had plenty of snacks around if we needed a bite before then. Took the print out, and headed to our room. Told the girls if they'd let me and DH rest, Id take them to the campfire at 530. DH hit the bed, and was asleep in minutes, I took a couple aleve, and ran a big ole tub of water and soaked my feet for about 30 mins. The kids wanted to as well, so after I got out, we ran it again and they did too. Then I took a nap.

The kids were angels while we napped, quietly watching disney channel and relaxing too, the did eat some of their candy apples from yesterday. And we all had a little caramel popcorn. About 515 I got up and got ready to take them to the campfire. It was a little chilly, so we took our cups and got some hot cocoa. Then, it was marshmallow time!!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/POFQ/349_zps6c907aed.jpg

weee bit charred

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/POFQ/353_zps0e6dbde7.jpg

You got your first one for "free" but after that the CM asked questions, and if you answered you got another one. After they had about 6 each :lmao: another CM came out and told us that since there had been such trouble with the computers at check in, that the arcade was on free play. Apparently the computers went down about 3, and they couldnt check anyone in or give tickets, and it was nearly 6 by this point - which I'm sure lead to a lot of irritated people. The kids BEGGED to go to the arcade :lmao: so I txted DH and told him we were going to play in the arcade.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/POFQ/valsphone313_zpsa60c464c.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/POFQ/361_zps675a02e0.jpg

The kids played for awhile, until word got out and the room filled up. We went back to our room for me to prop my feet back up, and wait until time to leave for the Wave.

About 7 we made our way to the bus stop, I wasnt sure how long it would take to get to the Contemporary, and I didnt want to be late. It was a quick ride to MK, and the monorail pulled up as we did. We had PLENTY of time, so we rode the monorail all the way around the loop. The girls had never been on it, so they enjoyed it. Second time we came to the Contemporary, we got off. Saw the gingerbread tree, DH had to pick up some visine, his eyes were dry, and we made our way down to the Wave.

The Wave was by far, hands down, my favorite meal of the trip. We had the BEST server I have had in a long time. His name was Shiloh, and he was awesome. In fact, he made such an impression on us, I mentioned him to the hostesses on the way out, the registration desk at the Contemporary, and wrote guest services an email. But I am getting a head of myself. As we walked up, I realized I didn't have the slip the hotel gave me. And we weren't on the list. They hostess didn't even bat an eye. She asked me when I made the reservation, I told her that it was about 3 - she said that explains it, the system went down right after 3. They assured is it would be short wait, and in less than 10 mins they were leading us to our table.

For dinner, DH and I both got Ahi tuna, DD11 got a chili steak with udon noodles, and dd7 got cheese pizza.

My tuna with corn salad/relish was the best thing I put in my mouth this trip.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/valsphone320_zpsb43796a0.jpg

DD11 liked hers too

For dessert this was my plate
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/valsphone370_zpsb456972c.jpg
the kids were tickled that the truffle had "edible gold" on it, they both ate part so they could say they ate gold.

DH and DD11 both got this one

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/Hannahscamerapictures281_zps4bab08d5.jpg

DD7 got the make your sundae.

Shiloh took this picture for us
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/Hannahscamerapictures283_zpsa62a6cbd.jpg

After a long, tiring day, he was the perfect server to help us relax, rest and refresh. I can't sing his praises high enough! It was almost 10 when we left the resturant, but we felt MUCH better. We got on the monorail to head back to MK, hoping to beat the throngs leaving after wishes. And guess what? The fireworks started, and we could see them from the monorail. It was beautiful. The girls ooohed and ahhhhed. we arrived at MK before they were over, and watched the rest on our way to the bus. A bus was there, and we were home, and in bed in no time.

Tomorrow as early at AK - think we can make 3 early days in a row?

Me too. I dont mind at all. I got it on EBAY, I think it was about $6, maybe $8. It was perfect! I love the fact that it zipped up. They had several different kinds, but I liked the Mickey. Later I saw them on Amazon too, maybe a little cheaper? I kept all our tickets, and FPs in it, and I put receipts in it during the day.

I think we will have to try The Wave on our next WDW trip....which *may* be Dec 2014 (we're going to DL Dec 2013).

I also noticed that POFQ always had a bus waiting when we would have a line 4 deep in the queue for POR! :( One time we actually took the bus to POFQ and walked to our room at POR......we were pretty close to our lobby/foodcourt area so the walk wasn't horrible.

You did great with the rides the morning after Christmas! Don't you love mornings like that?

I also noticed that POFQ always had a bus waiting when we would have a line 4 deep in the queue for POR! :( One time we actually took the bus to POFQ and walked to our room at POR......we were pretty close to our lobby/foodcourt area so the walk wasn't horrible.

You did great with the rides the morning after Christmas! Don't you love mornings like that?

Ohh do it! The Wave was great. I'd eat there again!!
We were very very pleased with the bus service at POFQ. And yes, the mornings were AWESOME!

All my readers, I'm sorry for the long pause. Friday just after lunch we got word that my BIL was being airlifted to Vanderbilt University hospital, he'd overdosed himself on painkillers and nerve pills. This is my husbands brother, and it was 5 months to the day that my FIL passed away. We rushed to Nashville, but we didnt make it in time. He passed just before we got there. Needless to say, its been a very very rough week, dealing with his passing, and helping their mom make funeral arrangements. We just got back home today, and I hope to get going again soon.

So third full day in the most magical place on earth, and we are up early for...

ANIMAL KINGDOM!!! We are at the bus stop like we should be, bright eyed and bushy tailed, at 7am. We make it before opening, And its COLD!!!! None of the four of us have been to AK before, we LOVE animals as a family, and we are excited!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/AK/362_zpsbc73efb3.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/AK/365_zpsa4cf7a3e.jpg

We line up, first at our turnstiles and wait for the opening! About 15 mins early, they let us through the turnstiles. We are headed first to Expedition Everest. DD7, though she had said she wasnt riding anything scary, she decided she wanted to try it.

We were held at the rope for a few minutes, and I snapped this

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/AK/371_zps2ab3ae9d.jpg

After being held by the rope for a few minutes, we walked to EE. We got FP on our way up, and were to the front of the queue in no time. RIGHT as we were about to load, DD7 said, NOPE! And out the chicken exit the two of us went. We waited in the gift shop for DD11 and DH to come off the ride. We knew there were about to get there before we saw them...

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/AK/42812330000_zpsd23577e9.jpg

They LOVED IT & wanted to ride again, and DD11 wanted a bag from the store, so I bought her the bag while they got back in the standby line. Also bought a little Yeti. When they got off the 2nd time, it was FP return time in about 10 mins, but they both thought 2x was plenty. When we came out we noticed SB was up to 30 mins and the FP return times were for 3 hours later. We gave our set of FPs to a couple hoofing it toward the machines, and they were so excited they could walk right on!! :rotfl:

We strolled through the park, and found some African drums.

Next up, the thing I was looking most forward to this morning...

Kilimanjaro Safari!!!! We made our way to the line, and it had a SB time of 5 MINS!!! It was still very cold, but the animals were absolutely beautiful.
We had a great driver, and I snapped tons and tons of pictures. I've included some of the best.

DD7 was tickled so much by the driver telling us that ostrich's forget which eggs are theirs and it takes most of the day to remember. She has told everyone that will listen.

After our trek through the African plains, we walked the trail nearby. It was cold though, and the monkeys and apes were not out to be seen. Can't say I blame them. HA. But this big fella was posing

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/AK/551_zpsa23cfb72.jpg

It was getting close to our reservation at Tusker House, so we made our way back. We stopped to watch some people playing drums, and then it was time to check in for our 10:15 breakfast!!

Thank you. After 5 days of it I need a break. We got back to our home today, we are 5 hours away from DHs mom and the rest of the family. I need the distraction away from the mess that he left his Mom and brother to clean up. We were able to go on our trip because of my FIL, and it was in his memory. I need to keep working on it, to finish what we started. :goodvibes

It was time for our reservation to Tusker House, so we made our way to the check in stand. After just a few minutes, it was time for our photo with Donald!!

We waited about 10 minutes after our photo and our table was ready. We were put in a room with only a couple of other families. We were hungry, and the food was pretty good! All of us loved the juice. We had time to get our plates ready before the first guests showed up.

After a relaxing and filling late breakfast, we left Tusker House, with plans to see a couple of shows and then head back to the resort.

DD7 wanted to see "Its Tough to be a Bug" she LOVES Its a Bugs Life.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/AK/632_zps46fe1b17.jpg

Unfortunately, she didnt see the sign about it being scary. And she was fine, until the hornet scene- she HATES flying stinging critters, so that part was bad. I thought the show was cute though.

After that we made our way to catch the next show of the Festival of the Lion King. We waited about 30 mins before the doors opened, but it was worth it!! Very adorable show. DD7 was picked to be the elephant.

When we came out of FOTLK, we decided that it was time to head back to the resort, so we could rest up for our WISHES Dessert Party!!!

On the way out, the girls bought Cheetah/Giraffe Mickey Ears, and we posed for some photopass photos.

So, we left Animal Kingdom for our resort, to get some rest. We had the Wishes Dessert Party, and we planned to stay late at MK tonight :cool1:

When we got back to the room, hubby laid down to take a nap, the kids rested watching Disney Channel, and I took two loads of dirty laundry to the laundry room. We had hoped we would need so many jeans, but it wasnt warm enough for shorts and our jeans were getting funky.

While the jeans were washing, momma enjoyed this at the pool bar. :goodvibes

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/POFQ/valsphone391_zps4207f68d.jpg

After the laundry was finished, I rested in our room too.

Then about 6 we decided we better get a little bit of food, since our party wasnt until 9. So we went to the food court at POFQ. Hubby and DD11 got the ribs and chicken plate, DD7 got pizza, and I got a burger. It was "ok". Remember this chicken here in a little while.... *cue scary music duh duh duuuuuhhhhhh*

About 730 we got to the bus stop, and went to MK. It was a quick trip, and we were inside in no time. We knew the line usually started about 30 mins before for the party, so we had time to do the Laugh Floor. My kids LOVE it. DD7 was picked to do knock knock jokes. She thought it was hilarious.

About 830 we got in line for the party. DD11 told me her stomach hurt, so I took her to the bathroom. She said she felt better, and we settled in to wait for them to open it. About 10 mins to 9 they opened up the gates, and we were seated front row with a GREAT view in no time.

Here is my first plate

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0228FourBySix_zps40b53f3c.jpg

It was so pretty! DD11 didnt want anything to eat - not anything. She said her stomach hurt too bad. I was worried, and she needed to go to the restroom again. I took her and bought her a sprite, which she sipped on but she felt miserable. We missed the show before the fireworks because she said she need to go back to the bathroom. We got back to the rail just as holiday wishes started. I was worried about her because she started crying, her stomach hurt so bad. DD7 was over the MOON b/c Tink fly RIGHT over us. The fireworks were great!

I would pay for the dessert party again. The desserts were great, and I loved not having to be in the "masses". I might not do it on a low crowd trip, but it was awesome during lvl 10 crowds.

After the fireworks were over, we sat back at the tables and waited a few minutes, the decided to leave the park and get DD11 back to the room.

After a short ride, we were back to our resort. Got the kids dressed for bed, and gave DD11 some tummy meds. Turned out the lights, and drifted off to sleep....

and about 130 am our 'fun' started. DD11 was SO sick. I've never seen her that sick. She was sick off and on until about 5 am and she finally was able to sleep. Fortunately, this was Friday, our day to sleep in, and sleep in we did!!! We finally got up and got moving about 9 am, but DD11 was still feeling kinda of icky.

We have BBB appointments at noon, how would that work out?

I was afraid our planned "down" day was about to turn into a "down and out" day. When we woke up about 930-10am, DD11 was still feeling icky, and Dh said, you know, I dont feel so great either (uh-oh).

We decided to leave DH and DD11 in the room, and DD7 and I would take the boat to DTD early, and hopefully reschedule DD11s appointment for Sat or Sun, and hope that she felt better by then.

So DD7 who feels right as rain after a good nights sleep, gets all dolled up in her Tink outfit and we head for the boat. After an uneventful ride to DTD, we are at World of Disney in no time. I inquired at the check in about DD11, and rescheduling, but she told me they couldnt, and I'd have to call on the "pink phone". I picked up the handset and was told it was a 30 min wait. Lovely. I had about an hour before their appointment, so I had my fingers crossed. DD7 was an ANGEL, staying right near me and chatting with CMs. She picked out a stitch star wars pin that she wanted to buy with her own money to "help her sister feel better". I had been on the phone about 15 mins, when DH sent me a txt and said that DD11 felt better, and had eaten (and kept down) a banana, so they were going to catch the boat and join us.

So I hung up the phone, and DD7 and I did some more shopping. About 15 mins later (15 mins before our check in time) DH txt me again - their boat had broken down in the middle of the river! He was afraid they werent going to make it, they were radioing for another boat to come to the rescue. I told the lady at the check in desk, and she said it was "fine" and gave us our pager. DD7 and I went to sit down by the door, so the pager would work and my cell phone too. in about 10 mins I get a txt saying they got the boat started, and they were on the way again. Unfortunatly, sitting on a rocking boat was NOT good for DD11 - and as soon as they landed she was sick. She said she felt better, but I was worried. Turns out that BBB was running about 30 mins behind, so I told her that if she could keep some sprite down, Id let her have her makeover.

BBB ended up being 45 mins behind, and by that time DD11 had perked up, finished her sprite and was joking with her sister. So yeah, maybe I shouldnt have let her, but she didnt get sick anymore on our trip, so I let her get the makeover. Since DH was feeling icky too, I was about 99% certain it was the chicken from the night before. So don't be hatin'

The girls were finally called back, and they were put in chairs 1 and 11, which are next to each other but not "right' next to each other, the walkway is between them. About that time I realized I didnt get my memory card out of my SD reader for my ipad. :scared1:

But there were 3 photopass photogs, and they used my pp+ card and got lots and lots of great shots.

DD11 picked pop princess, and her FGIT was a doll! we told her that she hadn't been feeling well but thought it was something she ate, and she was fine with it, and they were off their own world in no time.

Here are a series of her transformation:

After our magical transformations, it was almost 230. We had 1900 Park Fare ressies at 4 - so we decided we better take the boat back to POFQ and have a snack (none of us had eaten yet :scared1:) and see if we could make our reservation.

It took about an hour and a half, after they were called. We got our pager at our appt time, and then it was about 40 mins before it went off. So it was over two hours all together. As far as when they open...I'm not sure. I know the one in MK opens before the park, id guess the one in DTD opens around 8-9.

The package we got, hair, makeup, nails little bag and banner was $69 plus tax. My dd7 bought her dress earlier, but they have packages ($200ish) that induced the dress. They get to keep the makeup, and two bottles of nail polish and comb.

It was a great experience!

We got back to the room, and DD11 ate a snack. We had about 30 mins before we had to leave for the Grand Floridian, so I wanted her to eat something and see how she felt. In 30 mins she said she felt ok, and was kinda hungry. During this time, DD7 put her wings and flower ring (?) thing on and I took some photos of her outside on the walkway by our room. POFQ is a great place for photos!

I think its pretty obvious SHE liked BBB. ha.

We made our way to the bus stop to get to MK, to take the monorail to the Grand Floridian. As was the case on all our travels around the world so far (save the broken boat earlier today) we were there in no time, without a hitch. DD7 LOVED how everyone oohhed and aahhhed over her. DD11 did too. They both got lots of compliments. The family that shared our monorail asked lots of questions, they wanted to do it for their little girl but didnt know what it entailed.

We got to the Grand early - and hungry. I didnt realize that 1900 Park Fare didnt OPEN until 4, so when we got there at 345 it was still closed. We took in the gingerbread house and big tree, and the girls got their picture made by the tree.

We went to check in, and got in line for our family photo

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/Photo0333FourBySix_zpse8e98988.jpg

We were seated quickly, and our server informed us we were at the first table! We were RIGHT by the door where the characters came out! She also told us they announced the characters, so we would be able to tell. But my eagle eyed DD7 realized she would see them through the door a couple of minutes before they came out. We LOVED this character interaction. It was among the best we had. The stepsisters were so funny! The food.....eh. It was edible? Thats about all I can say about it. Everybody eventually found something that would make up dinner, but it wasnt something Id pay cash out of pocket for, and if I went back it would be for the characters by far. Service was fine, and we had a GREAT time.

First up was Mrs Tremaine. She was as to be expected, prim and proper and asked if DH was my prince, I told her yes, and she said she had advised her daughters not to settle for the first one that came along, while looking down her nose at him. :rotfl2:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/145_zps7ab04457.jpg

Next up was Anastasia, who came undone when she saw DD7's fairy wings on the chair. She asked her if she was a REAL fairy, and then took the wings to see if they would make her fly.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/149_zpsb2f375c9.jpg

She ran around the room and we just cracked up.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/147_zpse58e7fd9.jpg

Next was Druzilla, and she loved DD11s hair. She wanted to know if the fairy godmother would help her look that great.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/153_zpsa642b675.jpg

I told her that Anastasia had tried to fly and the wings didnt work for her, so she snatched them up and took off too. She was yelling around the room "Im flying I'm flying!"

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/158_zps09b8d730.jpg

Next up was Charming, who was, of course Charming!
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/160_zps4ceae644.jpg

Then the guest of honor, Cinderella. I loved that Prince Charming came to meet her at the door, and they danced through the room, they danced back to our table and he kissed her hand in front of us. Adorable!!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/168_zps1eced36d.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/174_zps84777719.jpg

DH noticed that every time Cindy turned away from the Prince, the step sisters kept trying to get his attention. The whole thing was so funny!!!

Great time!

After dinner, DH and DD11 decided they wanted to go to the room, and DD7 and I decided that we would go into MK JUST to meet the fairies. I was hoping Tink was there, I wanted pictures of Tink and DD7. We rode the monorail back to MK and parted ways.

So many great updates!

I love Tusker House bkfst! I just think the characters in the safari clothes are just too cute! How nice to be in the room with hardly anyone else. It was packed when we ate there on the 23rd.

Sorry your DD got sick and didnt get to enjoy the dessert party, but at least she was feeling better by the time of BBB.

Looks like the girls enjoyed their BBB appt ;)

:-) AJ We like breakfasts too, but I didnt decide on BBB until it was too late to be picky about appointments. It was defiantly a "take what we can get and make it work" situation. By the time we decided, the castle location was booked solid, so as soon as you decide when you are going, and the reservations are open, Id advice snagging one. And Thanks! I dont want it to end either....

Tusker was GREAT! Thanks to the DIS, I had heard to book one of the last breakfast times, and it was not crowded at all. And we had almost 2.5 hours in the park before time to eat.

BBB was worth it to us. When DD7 was laid back in the chair getting her makeup done, DH said, wow, this was so worth it. :goodvibes Dunno if we'd do it again, certainly not for both of them b/c dd11 is about turn 12, but if we go back I'm sure DD7 will want to do it again.

It was Friday night, 12/28 and DH and DD11 went back to our room at POFQ after dinner. DD7, all dolled up as Tink, and I had other plans though. I checked the lines app and the line for Tink was 35 mins. Thats all we planned to do in MK, so when we got off the monorail from the Grand Floridian, we went to MK and the other two caught the bus home.

DD7 and I went in to MK and saw the most massive MK crowd of our trip. It was a  moment for us. :rotfl2: We had been spoiled by our early mornings, let me tell you at 6pm ish it was crowded!!!

A Cm told us the move it shake it parade was about to start, so quickly we got a magic shot with DD7 and Tink.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0346FourBySix-Copy_zps5e958036.jpg

DD wanted to watch the parade, and we were lucky to get a spot right on the curb on main street. She loved it!

Surprisingly, she remembers dancing in the street party with Mr Incredible in 2009, so as we approached the hub with the dancing she wanted too. but there were SO many people she was like "nevermind" lets find Tink! So off we went.

We got to the Fairy line and the sign said 40 mins. While in line, every CM tha saw DD7 asked why she was waiting in line! She needed to be back there to meet her fans. She got so tickled. It was exactly 40 mins, but it wasnt too bad, bc we passed the time talking to a family in front of us, a mom and two girls. I found out they'd been there all day. I felt so bad for them - they'd waited in lines for 2 hours all day long! They were also on a character quest, so I used Kennys app to tell them about some of the places they could hunt up people they were looking for. I also told them how awesome early mornings were. They were planning to go to DHS the next day, I told them us too, and that FPs would be out by 930-10 so if they wanted to ride that w/o a huge line they needed to get there early. Then I found out they thought FPs cost extra...and the look on their poor faces when I explained how they worked, it was almost defeat! But I helped them come up with a plan for DHS, I hope it worked out for them. When dad came back to the line from taking their son to the bathroom to tell them they were going to sit on a bench, mom told them the scoop and he looked crestfallen too. They all agreed to try early at DHS. anyhoo, when it was finally our turn to meet Tink it was SOOOO worth it!!!

We came around the corner, and Tink said: JOLLY JINGLES ITS A TINKER FAIRY!!!!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0351FourBySix-Copy_zps5bb15f2f.jpg

She darted all around and asked her if the fairy god mother had fixed her hair, it was beautiful. she noticed that She had on "adventure shoes" and that her shoes werent good for adventures, she needed to get some like my DD7s

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0352FourBySix_zps79be49e2.jpg

She asked her about pixie dust and DD7 told her she was out. She told her she needed to see Terrence, but then she looked at her head and said, I THINK I FOUND YOURS!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0355FourBySix_zpsfb64d3e5.jpg

She asked if we had seen Peter, and DD7 said, NO, but I saw a PIRATE outside. (thanks Kenny for that tip) She FREAKED! And started flitting around, WHERE??? It wasnt Captian HOOK was it?? DD7 said, YES hes looking for you. She went on a tirade how about how mean he was and how she doesn't like him b/c he wants to steal pixie dust, so DD better watch out. :rotfl2:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0357FourBySix_zps8de92bac.jpg

Then she told her to fly safe and not get her wings wet.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0362FourBySix_zps66222ad4.jpg

Totally awesome interaction. We must have been with Tink for between 5-10 mins. DD7 had a blast!!

Then it was time for Periwinkle. She was more subdued, but still had good interaction. She complemented DD on her hair too, and said that Tink should think about wearing flowers in her hair as well, because they are soo pretty.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0377FourBySix_zpsb7b2c646.jpg

By FAR the best meet and greet we experienced. I love the fact that you arent all crowded in the same room, and the fairies really take the time to talk to the kids.

We made our way to the exit, and it started sprinkling. DD7 was getting worried b/c Tink told her not to get her wings wet! :rotfl2: We made it to the bus stop before it started raining hard though. We got back to POFQ, to discover that DD11 was feeling MUCH better, and wanted to know if Id take her to DTD to shop. I said sure, but Tink said she was ready to rest. So DD11 and I went shopping, and had lots of fun! Pin trading, shopping but I was VERY happy she was feeling better. We spent a few snack credits at goofy's picking out things we thought DD7 and DH would like as well. We caught the last boat back to POFQ in the POURING rain, and got ready to sleep because tomorrow is....Hollywood studios day, which means ROPE DROP!

We wake up Saturday morning 12/29 with plenty of time to get to...

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS! for rope drop.

Everyone feels GREAT and I'm glad to hear it. Our plans are to try to stick it out at DHS until after our ADR at 4, then see what we feel like for the evening. We eat a light breakfast, and head to the bus stop.

Again, we are the first family at our turnstile, and wait (im)patiently for the park to open! Our plan is to head STRAIGHT to TSM and ride, then get fp for another ride. We had a very very friendly CM at the gate again, and the time passed very fast! In no time they were letting us through the gates, about 15 mins early! They give us "surprise" fast passes for Lights! Motors! Action! at 1030. And we are OFF!

But we dont run. We just walk. Looked like about 1/3 of the people took off for Jedi, 1/3 for TSM and the rest for RnRC/TT.

We get in line for TSM at 750 am!! :cheer2: FUN! We grab FP to ride again, and the time is for 820. (DH won) We see standby is listed as only 10 mins, so we ride again. This time it did take about 10 mins. Had a little bit of time for photos this time.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/valsphone445_zps037d91df.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/valsphone446_zpse4e1f0cd.jpg

After we came out of TSM this time the line had jumped up to 50 mins already! I ate a cereal bar, and the girls pin traded with the CM at the exit of the buzz and woody line. Our FP time was ready. So back we go! :cheer2: If you are keeping score, thats three rides on TSM in less than an hour Christmas week! :cheer2:

When we came out from our third ride (I won this time!), the buzz and woody were meeting, and the line was 20 mins. DD11 wanted to meet them, but DD7 didnt want to stand in line, so we left DD11 and DH in line, while the two of us went to get FP for RnRC. The fast passes we pulled were for 10. It started POURING rain. I mean buckets! we pulled out our ponchos, and made our way back to PIXAR place to wait for DD and Dh to come out of meeting Buzz and Woody. DD7 spied the face painting booth, and I tried to talk her out of it because it was still raining. The CM doing the painting told us that touch ups were free all day, at all the parks, so if it smeared or whatever they'd fix it with the reciept. So DD7 decided to spend some of her own money on a face paint.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/valsphone449_zps0a0d715b.jpg

Too cute! We get back to the exit of the Buzz and Woody M&G and DD7 spies her sister and dad through the window. The CM at the exit (who we had pin traded with earlier) told me we could go through the exit and get in line with them. She had heard me tell DD7 that she had made the choice not to wait in line, and said "she's been so good out here, now and earlier, very polite!" (proud momma moment there). So when the family in front of ours came out, the CM let us in. DD11 was most put out that her sister didnt have to wait in line and still got to meet them!

Of course, now DD11 wanted HER face painted, so away we went for that again. :rotfl2:

After our trip through Andy's room, and having a tiger join us, we were on our way to Lights! Motors! and Action! with our surprise FP from earlier. It was still drizzling, so it was nice to find a seat under the overhang. We enjoyed it, but DD7 was scared of the final fire. HA.

Of course we had to snap a pic of Lightening!!

After our show finished, DD11 and DH took the FPs to RnRC and DD7 and I went to get FP for Star Tours. We remembered to give DH the lanyard this time too! :cheer2:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/42889980000_zps0dc12936.jpg

By the time they got through the FP line the first time, the window was over so the didnt get to ride twice. They caught back up with us, and it was just a few minutes before it was time to use our Star Tours FP, so we shopped at a couple of the booths around Star Tours, and did some pin trading. Rode Star Tours - none of us had been on that ride. We like it SO much we got another when we came out. This FP was for just after lunch, so we made our way to Pizza Planet! The pizzas were good, and we enjoyed getting off our feet. I didnt take pictures of the pizzas, but I DID snap a pic of this http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/valsphone465_zps3ab13381.jpg
Yummy!

After our lunch was finished it was time to ride Star Tours again! so back we went. Very fun again! The whole family loved this ride! So much we grabbed another FP for it. :rotfl2:

In the mean time we decided to head over to the animation building. We wanted to try the Animation Academy. There was already a class in, so we got in line for Mr Incredible and Frozone.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/Photo0395FourBySix_zps39e82d0d.jpg

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/Photo0400FourBySix_zps38038808.jpg

The kids didnt want to wait for Sorcerer Mickey, or Wreck it Ralph, so we got in line for the Animation Academy. It was nice to get to sit on a bench for awhile while we waited for our class. Dh didnt want to draw, so he sat on a bench outside. The girls and I love to paint, so we thought it would be fun. We had someone in our class who had been a LOT and so we ended up having to draw Jack Skellington. DD11 and I had a blast, but DD7 got very upset b/c she didnt think her drawing was good. I thought they were all fine, but she started crying, which washed off part of her face paint.

After we calmed her down, we headed out and rode Star Tours for the 3rd time. HA. We were going to do the muppets, but the kids didnt want to wait for it. They were spoiled by short lines! It was about 330 by this point, and we had reservations at the 50s Cafe at 4. We found a bench to rest our feet, and DHs uncle called to let us know that he and one of his sons and DIL were there, waiting by the 50s. So we went there and spent about 30 mins with them before we checked in! We had been trying to catch them all week, but they were just as planned out as we were. DD7 ran up to her great uncle and said "Disney has taken ALL my money" :rotfl2: He got so tickled that he handed her $40 and said here sweetie, have a coke and a candy bar on me. :rotfl2::rotfl2: He gave DD11 some too, even though she tried to tell him she wasnt out yet. Funny stuff. They stayed at AOA, and said it was nice. We never got to see the other son, his wife and the grand babies, or DH's aunt. They were taking a nap, they had started the day early at CRT.

We checked in at the 50s Cafe, and our "mom" called for us shortly. She was a hoot. We enjoyed our meals. I had the meatloaf, DH had chicken pot pie, DD11 got pot roast, DD7 got mac and cheese but our mom said she wouldnt like it and brought her french fries too. :rotfl2: She did though, she loves mac and cheese. For dessert, DH, DD11 and I got chocolate malts (yum) and DD7 got an ice cream sundae. I didnt take any photos, sorry, I was a baaaaad DISer.

We felt very refreshed and happy after our time with mom, and came out ready to make our way out of the park. DD7 bought some light up Mickey ears and a Spinning Minnie light up toy with her money from her great uncle, and we decided to get the girls faces touched up before we left since we it had been a long time.

We waited in line at the FP booth - the SAME girls were still painting faces. It was about 6pm now, and we had gotten there faces painted at 9! The got DD11 in the chair to touch her up, and the CM told me that she really wasnt supposed to touch up unless 50% or more of the paint was still there, but she would fix it around her eyes. I told her that was fine, and thank you, b/c she had gotten upset and cried after she thought she messed up her drawing. She looked at DD and said, ohh no one should cry at Disney - come one lets fix it. And she fixed the WHOLE thing. She didnt have too, but it made DD7s day.

We decided to head back to POFQ now, and everyone still felt great. We stopped on our way out to have a picture taken.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/DHS/Photo0401FourBySix_zps016e3dfb.jpg

On the bus, everyone talked about how much fun we were having, and how we felt great - so we decided to rest up at the resort for a little while, and go to MK before wishes started - to see if we could get some more rides in that we hadn't gotten do before. :cool1:

Next up, Late night at MK!

So after all our fun in early mornings, and a great day at DHS, we decided to try a late night at MK.

12/28 the park was open to 1 am, and it wasnt EMH, so we rested after we got back from DHS, and planned to head to MK just before Wishes, and try to do some of the park we hadnt seen.

We arrive at MK about 10 mins to 10. And the people STREAMING out of the park was insane! there was ONE single file line of people trying to get into back check - the rest of the walk way was shoulder to shoulder people trying to leave. once we made it to bag check we were golden though. No trouble getting in at all. We made our way around too...

Haunted Mansion! Love that ride!
Came out as the fireworks were going off,we decided to split up. DD7 wanted to ride the carpets, and DD11 wanted to ride Big Thunder. DD7 and I rode magic carpets 3x in a row! DH and DD11 rode Big Thunder and Splash Mountain the same amt of time.

DD7 and I decided to had to Fantasyland, while DD11 and DH kept riding the Mountains (now guess what? I forgot to send the PP+ lanyard with him again)

DD7 and I rode:

Then we went to meet Ariel

Then we went and rode Dumbo, and they didnt even make us get off! We rode 2x in a row then went to Pete's Silly Sideshow.

Got a txt from DH, and decided to meet back up with him and DD11. They had ridden all three mountains and astro orbiter.

Everyone wanted to do the LaughFloor, and had the BEST time there!

They picked DD7, by saying: "There is a human with four ears!!!" and then he said....AND she is WITH a "half tiger half human, meow" and they got asked questions, giggling the whole time. Soo cute.

DD7 wanted some popcorn, so we made our way back to the hub, and had a photopass shot taken:

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/MK/Photo0469FourBySix_zps703b3bfa.jpg

Got some popcorn, and decided to make our way out since it was about 1245. Stopped by main street bakery and bought two cinnamon rolls for the next day with snack credits, and a couple drinks.

Saw the line for the princesses as 0 wait :rotfl2: So we got in line to meet the princesses at 12:59 am. Giggling the whole way!!

We laughed our tired selves back to the bus stop, and in no time were washing face paint off and crashing at about 215 am.

We had grand plans of trying to hit all 4 parks on our last full day at WDW - but not starting until our BREAKFAST at KONA! I had been looking to this ADR as much as I had Le Cellier!!!

Could we do it? Last day, and make it all the way???

Stay tuned....

I'm waiting with bated breath to see if you made it to Kona! It was much anticipated for us too....and I had to move that one to our last day when I was able to snag a last minute, almost pre-park opening at Crystal Palace.......we ended up canceling Kona :( We were so tired and not packed so logic won and slept in that last day at POR, then packed up and checked our luggage early.

I can just taste that Tonga Toast! I've made it at home before....but it just isn't the same!

The best touring time BY FAR was early. And then that one late night. That was good too. Dunno how the change to fp/fp+ will effect it though.

We had BIG HUGE Plans for our last day. We intend to enter every single park, between the end of our breakfast and before the NYE pre-fireworks at MK.
We had KONA planned, EPCOT (needed to do the WS and Japan), pop over for the parade in Animal Kingdom, run in DHS to say we "did" it (and grab FP for Star Tours one more time) then head to MK to find a spot for the late fire works.
Im tired just thinking about it!

So we get up about 830. Our reservations are for 1015 at Kona. Definatly the most dragging morning we've had. No one wants to move at all. The promise of Kona coffee is what makes DH and I keeping moving feet.

We take the bus to MK and get on the resort monorail, and arrive at the Poly in no time. We check in, and are seated in minutes. First order of business - PRESSED POT PLEASE! Since we are on the DP, the two of us can share it for our drink. OMG. Nectar from heaven.

The girls order hot chocolate. It looks good and they LOVE it. Has a ton of whipped cream on it.

DH and DD11 order the Big Kahuna.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/bigkahuna_zpsbe043325.jpg

DD7 says she wants french toast.

I attempted to order the macadamia nut pancakes. However, I am so tired I point to my hubby and say I just want the "pancakes"

I get regular pancakes. I looked at them and asked the waitress about the pineapple and nuts? And she said, oohh you said "just the pancakes"
She's right, I did. I said, oh you are right, I'm sorry. She asks if I want her to fix it and I told her no, that it was my fault, but I felt tears in my eyes.

TEARS????! WhAt the heck! I think it was b/c I was exhausted, but for some reason ordering the wrong pancakes made me cry. :rotfl2:

DH looked at me with that one-eyebrow-raised-who-are-you-what-have-you-done-with-my-wife look, and asked if I was ok. I dried it up and said, yeah. He said, I think we might be a weeee bit overtired (you think?). He cuts his pancakes in half, and so does DD11 and they are moving it to a plate so I can have some (yeah, I love those two). They knew how much I had been looking forward to them, when about that time the waitress shows up with a fresh order of macadamia nut pancakes. and I tear up again!!!

Im such a sap. She says "Sweetie, these are way different, and people should get want they want on vacation" (so yeah, she got a good tip :rotfl2:)
They were as good as I hoped!

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/Resorts/mnpancakes_zps53d936d9.jpg

For the record, the plain pancakes are great too. I ate a few bites before I got these.

Kona was a great breakfast. I would book again in a heart beat.

We settled up the bill, and hubby said, ok, that was awesome, and I know we have a lot planned, but I say we all need a nap. With out one complaint from any of his girls, we nodded, and loaded up on the monorail and went back to MK, then to POFQ and were back in bed by noon. :rotfl2: Set an alarm to get up in time to make the parade at AK. We could still pull off our plan for WDW domination, even with this nap.

Or could we?

We did this one year. I was so ambitious, we were going to spend the day at AK, but right after lunch we were all done. We all agreed to head back to the resort to regroup. No tears or anything, just a lot of angry eyes. ::yes::

After we got back from Kona we all took a nap. Even the kids fell asleep. Since my children don't nap, I'd say that means we were TIRED! :rotfl2:

We got up abt 230-245 and made our way to AK to catch the Jingle Jungle Parade :cool1:

By the time we got there the good spots were taken, but we saw some taped off area behind a walkway, and set up shop there next to some bushes. The CM was very sweet and told us that we could stay there but that there was a walkway that stayed open. I asked if they kept people moving on it, and she said yes. Our kids were big enough we decided to not worry and hug the bushes there. As it got time to start, a family with two little kids ended up behind us, so we let their little kids stand up by our DDs.

I gave DD11 my DSLR and let her take photos. So these are hers!

This guy was funny. He noticed DD11 standing under the branches of a bush and said: WOW some monkeys hiding in the bushes. Then he came over to our rope and talked to the kids. Made faces and got everyone laughing.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/AK/867_zpsfad6519f.jpg

Toward the end of the parade, the CM you can see in the picture with King Louie, came over and whispered to DD7. When I asked what she said, she told me that the CM wanted to see her after the parade. After the parade DD7 went up to her and she gave her a Chip pin because she was the "only kid in her taped area she didnt have to remind to stay behind the tape" DD7 was so HAPPY! She LOVES Chip and thanked her so much.

I thought DD11 did a good job with the photos! Such a cute parade. Worth coming to!

So we talked about riding a ride before we left, and the girls wanted to ride Dinosaur. Standby was 50 mins, and the FP time was for 1.5 hours later, and since our plan was WORLD domination by midnight, we got in standby. (what happened to the park emptying after the parade people??) it didnt happen. Check this out :crowded::crowded::scared1:

From here the girls wanted to ride Triceratops Spin. The wait was less than 10 mins, so we let them.

When I left off, we were leaving AK to head to EPCOT. One of our must do's is Pick a Pearl, in honor of my FIL.

We head out toward the buses, and I realized I have no idea how to get there from here. We stopped and asked a CM the best way to get to EPCOT, and he told us the bus to the TTC. But the line there was at least two buses long, so we decided just to grab the bus to the Contemporary and get on the monorail to EPCOT. Why? b/c the bus was there and had room, and b) why not? Seemed as workable as TTC to monorail.

The bus ride to the Contemporary was the longest bus ride were were on all trip. I mean it was awful. And packed. After what seemed like forever, we got to the Contemporary and made our way to the monorail - to discover that there were a gillion people waiting for the monorail. Like so many you couldn't even get into the waiting area. I had a something isnt right thought - when a monorail pulled up, and then we moved into the waiting area. I wasnt sure of the typical monorail schedule, as we had never waited more than a couple of minutes for one. After about 10 mins, this guy behind us asked the operator what was going on? He told us the resort monorail was down, they had to take a train off the rails and it would be at LEAST 20 more mins before they were running again. Whoops.

By this point it was close to 7, and the fam was pretty hungry. So we bailed on the monorail line and decided to take a bus to DTD to eat at WPE. We had planned to eat there tonight anyway. After another miserably long bus ride we made it to DTD. As an aside - it seemed the Deluxe bus system was way worse than the moderate.

I have since found out that there is a bus directly from AK to EPCOT. Why the CM didnt tell me that I have no idea, and it sure would have been nice to know!!! Would have saved us a lot of time!!! (see, pays to have a full plan and not wing it:rotfl2:)

So we got to WPE and there was a pretty good line, but it didnt take much time to order and get our food.

DD7 got mac and cheese. This stuff was awesome!
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/WPE/Hannahscamerapictures636_zps3e4999d2.jpg

DD11 got Spag and meatballs
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/WPE/Hannahscamerapictures635_zps6cf36555.jpg

DH got Spag bolognese
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/WPE/Hannahscamerapictures637_zps7748d762.jpg

I got the Pesto Pizza (yum!) http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/WPE/Hannahscamerapictures638_zpsc3b9e46b.jpg

We had not given up on our plan of WORLD Domination yet, so everyone had cherry coke :rotfl2:

However, we realized while we were eating there was NO way we'd make EPCOT and get to Japan before 930, considering how crowded WDW transportation was today. I was most bummed about that, b/c we really didnt get to see the WS at all.

So, since it was winging day anyway, we modified the plan and decided to spend our snack credits at Goofy's. DD11 took this while we waited.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/WPE/Hannahscamerapictures639_zpsde443381.jpg

We spent 11 snack credits and had a whole sack full of treats.

Then we went to the pick a pearl cart in DTD. It wasnt what I wanted to do, but the kids didnt know what they were missing and it was still special for them.

http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/WPE/Hannahscamerapictures640_zpsa59243b4.jpg

They picked their oysters and tapped them 3x and said "aloha".

DD11 got a 6.5mm yellow pearl.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/WPE/888_zps37e500b0.jpg

DD7 got a 7mm blue pearl.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/WPE/887_zps5a442cac.jpg

Pretty!

Then we took a boat back to POFQ b/c were DONE with buses for now.
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a264/vealley/WPE/Hannahscamerapictures661_zpseab3c1f5.jpg

It was about 945....would we be able to continue our quest or would we crash and burn? EPCOT is already crossed off the list....

Stay tuned!!

Isn't it strange how the CMs don't always know things about WDW? One time we stayed at the Contemporary and I wanted to know when the Lights, Motor, Action show started that day. The CM looked it up on Steve Soars site! Apparently Disney doesn't have a site for that info. Weird. Why the transportation CMs don't have working knowledge about the entire system is beyond me.

On our past trip, my DD and I wanted to go from DHS to AK. It was the last pick-up location in the parking lot. No shade and it's June. Who's planning this stuff? :lmao:

Bummer about pick a pearl. At least you were able to go to the cart in DTD!! The only thing I can think is they have a huge influx of seasonal employees who just don't have all the info or that they are overwhelmed. I think you may be right about the seasonal employees. I know office workers are sometimes pulled out and put on park duty during Christmas, so we may have gotten an employee that usually is in an office somewhere with NO idea about buses.

On our quest for WORLD domination, we had breakfasted at KONA, taken a nap, went to AK, and then to DTD. We'd been on buses, the monorail and a boat. We'd missed the chance to get to EPCOT, and were back at the POFQ at about 945.

DH and DD7 tapped out. After our wonderful meal at WPE, I was ready to go, and DD11 was to. So we hopped on a bus to DHS! It closed at 11, and then Fantasy in the Sky was at 1150, so we were hoping we could pull off both!

We arrived at DHS right about 10. DD11 had wanted to see Honey I Shrunk the Kids, but we didnt know the hours. We darted over there to find out it was closed, but she spotted a Maleficent pin on a CM lanyard, and traded one of her pins for it for me! I love that kid!

So we decided to walk through the lights again, and let it snow on us. We posed for a couple of photos.

Then we went and rode Star Tours, walk on. Had the best ride yet!! We were wowed again by this ride!

Then we went and rode the Great Movie Ride, DD11 wanted to the other day, but DD7 declared it looked "boring". It was walk on as well, and we got the gangster scene. DD and I were in the front row. It was pretty cool.

I let DD take a few more pictures and it was close to 11. So we walked out, posing one more time...

I love the Cinderella Coaches that the pearls were in. I have never done a pick a pearl before. I saw the sign saying the pearls were $15.99. How much were the necklaces? Love that! Dinner looked yummy too! We love WPE.

I was just getting ready to ask this. I got a pearl last trip and just got a simply silver cage for it. I love this one. So off to ebay I went immediatly. I just got one also for $5. If anyone is interested search for cinderella pearl cage. Fyi there is also a mickey head one. I ordered one also, lol. So I guess I need to get a new pearl when I go. Dh is gonna laugh. Even reading a trip report gives me a reason to go shopping, lol.

And I love love love this trip report. So informative. We are planning our trip next year. Jan 26th thru Jan 3rd. First trip this time of year. Thanks for all your hard work writing this!!!

Well, after much deliberation, we decided to go to the resort.

When we arrived there, at about 1125, there was a bus waiting about to leave for MK.

We ALMOST got on it. I mean got "this close" to getting on it. We stood by it for a minute, but in the end DD11 was just too tired.

I wish now we had pushed through, but we were deliriously tired!

The next morning had to get up and pack.

We ate some breakfast in the Sassagoula Float Works. The girls got chocolate chip pancakes, and I got Mickey Waffles! Im not sure what DH got I cant remember.

We loaded up our suitcases and took them to the RAC desk.

We walked around and snapped some pictures of the resort, it was a beautiful day.

All too soon, we were waiting by this....

And boarding DME for our trip to MCO. We got there with plenty of time, but got held up in security like you wouldn't believe! Before we knew it we were boarding our flight, leaving the happy place.

Next up:

I think I will do a few "Best of/ Worst of" posts before I wrap up my trip report.
Whatcha think?

Ok so I talked to my family, and we are going to each weigh in on best of/worst of. We are going to do food, and rides/attractions in parks, and experiences. And any other thing I can think of.

First topic: Counter Service

Best of:

It was unanimous, all of us rated Wolfgang Puck's Express as the BEST counter Service we ate. Though DD7 wanted to give a plug for Pizza Planet in DHS. I think it was the cupcake that put that up there though, plus the atmosphere of Toy Story.

Worst of:

ME: Floatworks at POFQ. The pizza we had one night was fine, but the burger I had one night was very bland. meh at best.

DH: POR food court: the burger he got there was meh

DD11: Floatworks: the chicken and ribs plate was "gross"

DD7: Cosmic Rays. The kids chicken nuggets were gross. (I think thats probably true of all WDW kids nuggets, but that was the only place she got them)

Next up, Snacks!

So on to our next installment:

I polled the family

Best Snack:

DH and me: Dole Whip Floats (pineapple)

DD11: turtle cluster from Goofy's (She spent her snack credits on this twice)

DD7: Gingerbread cupcake at DHS (I agree it WAS awesome! and my 2nd fave)

Worst: We all thought the rice cripsy treat mouse heads from the Goofy's. Maybe we got a bad batch.

Honorable mention goes to the caramel popcorn from Germany in EPCOT

Maybe 5 mins tops once you hot on the path. Not bad at all. And it's a gorgeous walk!

Table Service Time!

Best of:

DH: Le Cellier
Me: tied for me, The Wave for Dinner, and Kona for Breakfast.
DD7: Tusker House
DD11: Le Cellier

Worst of:
DH, DD11 and I felt that 1900 Park Fare was the worst meal (dinner)
DD7 said for her it was Le Cellier. The kids spag was "gross" though she liked the cheddar soup!

DD and DH did want to point out that the Malts at 50s in DHS was awesome.

My family agrees with your family about 1900 Park Faire. Food is meh, entertainment is awesome. We really enjoyed the floor show with the Cinderella characters. Not sure it's worth the cost, but when we did it, we had free dining.

By far, hands down, all four of us said WPE.

I guess with that, it completes my trip report. Makes me a lil sad to know. *snif*

Now, if I could only start a PTR for another trip!!!

Who wants to bankroll it? :confused3

What camera did you use? The photos are so beautiful!
Also, it seemed amazingly chilly when you visited in Dec. 2012, do you remember what the lowest temp was when you and the family were at DW? Please? Thanks in advance. Cira

:goodvibes

I have a Canon t3i that was used for most of the photos, DD11 had a Nikon coolpix that we used some too.

Actually it was fairly mild. 75/55 most days - BUT the day we went to Animal Kingdom/Wishes Dessert part it was COLD. High was low 50s, so that morning was in the 30s and so was that evening. Fireworks I think it was about 35ish?

The rest of the days it was only cool in the morning and late in the evenings.

But we are from the SEUS, so those are cold temps for us. Im sure its not bad for people from cooler climates.
