While on vacation we went to a Chinese restaurant with a 50's dinner show. ( strange combination) I'd like to weave some Chinese characters in with my 50's theme border. Problem is, I can't find anything with Chinese characters. I even browsed the web thinking I could free hand emboss them. ( I don't think so) My last thought was to find a rubber stamp.

Any suggestions?

I've seen lots of rubber stamps with Chinese emblems on them on ebay, and also in Hobby Lobby and Michaels. I think Michaels also has stickers and some die cuts.

I have a set of stamps from Michaels that are chinese and I also have a punch for the chinese symbol for Good Luck, which I also bought at Michaels. HTH

I think Mrs. Grossmans may have destination stickers for China ( try doing a search for Mrs. Grossmans stickers ) .

Here is what I have knocking around in my head. I think I will use black, white and red. Black borders with the Chinese characters clear embossed randomly so that you can only see them if you look closely. Then 50's stickers pop dotted down the border. I am also thinking of making 45 records with some of the songs they sang written on the label and tucking them under the corners of the photos as sort of mountings.

I'll let you know how it turns out.
