Christmas check-in - shopping/decs/cooking etc update!!

....... so I am no longer in denial - I'm in panic mode :teeth:

Got my decs up, cards nearly completed ( most have gone!), presents nearly bought, Christmas cake made and maturing in airtight container with some brandy ;), loads of crackers on standby, boys home ...... so that leaves wrapping, food-shopping ( loads of it), the booze buy up, a few more pressies to buy, and bedroom sorting for guests......

C'mon how are you doing? Have I caught up with any of you yet?

Well im totaly finished, Im doing my grocery shop friday night(just the last minute things), presents all wrapped, cards all out and posted, tree and decs up. Im having a day out tomorrow just to walk round Norwich City to take in the christmas spirit(no shopping),unless its for me!!!, out to lunch and generally enjoying the run up to christmas. All i need now is to get rid of this stinking cold,ship me mother and me inlaws to Iceland and I'll be one happy person!!.

Yes Shirley, I'm in panic mode too. Most of the presents are bought, however need to be wrapped. Need to make one last run to the post office. Tree is up, most of the lights are on the house. We don't do Christmas Cake, so I don't have to worry about that. Need to get our guest room tidied up--it's a dumping ground. And, of course, clean, clean, clean.

I'm totally cool, calm and collected FOR ONCE!! This year I'm ahead of myself, presents bought & wrapped, cards written & sent, tree collected from Cannock Chase and decorated and all the house lights are up. Only have to buy the food over the weekend and we're all set to go. I'm sooo pleased with myself because every Christmas Eve I aim to get the kids to bed and settle down in front of the Christmas Tree watching crud TV with a glass of Baileys in my hand. Unfortunately this never happens and we're usually still wrapping presents, totally frazzled at 2.00 a.m on Christmas morning!!

I don't think I'm any further forward than I was when Ii first posted this LOL!! Well other things keep getting in the way :o !
The booze buy up is happening tomorrow evening and hopefully there'll be a fresh turkey or two left, and I really must get started on some wrapping!
