Thursday morning is our hearing. We meet with a panel of one doctor and two nurses, and we try to conference in some of Rachel's doctors. Her ped neurologist refuses to participate because he says he's done enough and doesn't understand how they could possibly have more questions. (Besides, he's fully booked for the day and this was short notice.) We do have another neurologist who will participate, along with her pediatrician.

The hearing takes about two hours, and they want us to bring Rachel if possible. I'm leery of subjecting her to a two hour meeting where she can see and hear all of the discussion about her. On the other hand, it's been indicated to me that seeing the patient can make a big difference. So we still don't know what we will do in this regard.

The CT State Attorney General's office will have a lawyer there to help us represent ourselves.

Please send a lot of pixie dust on Thursday morning. Thanks.

Sock it to them...

I hope and pray that all goes well and they start paying. Please know that you are in my thoughts. Rachel is very lucky to have you...

Sharon, you all will remain in our prayers. In this season of giving to others, it's about time that they gave to Rachel. We feel confident that you will present an excellent case.

..but having Rachel with you is a PLUS...they could see how young she is, and how much the treatment would benefit her...wishing you all the best of luck!
