Help. I have to decide which would be the best breakfast/brunch for Christmas. I have a weird feeling about buffets lately after reading how sick people are getting down there now. I have never eaten at Spoodles. Has anyone eaten breakfast there that would recommend it over these other two restaurants.

I want it to be a really special breakfast for DD and me for Christmas. Which do you recommend for this special occasion?

I haven't been to Spoodles or Cape May, but we had the character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare last week, and it was excellent! The characters stopped at every table. The food was excellent with many choices, and there were chef's preparing made-to-order omelets. We will definitely do it again.
Sorry, I can't compare to the other two places for you.

Thanks Blossombrd - at least knowing that I could have an omelet made for me eliminates many of the germs that I fear. I love a good omelet. How long did you have to wait for it? Do you stand there while they make it, or do you return in a few minutes?

If you don't have PS already, it may be hard to get for Christmas Day.

We had PS at 1900 Park Fare for Christmas Day last year. I think it was for 10am. We got there at 9:55am. We waited in line to check in until 10:30am. They have one line--people with PS and people without PS. Some people didn't understand what a PS was, so they had to explain it to them and then take their ressies ti add them to the list.

They told us about 5 minute wait. 10 minutes later--still 5 minute wait and there were only 3 people to seat in fron of us.

5 minutes later--still 5 minute wait.

We have now almost been here 1 hour!!!

So, we left...drove to Epcot and by 11:30 we were in the park and had our food at Electric Umbrella:p

Julesmom,
Sounds like you will be there when we will. Where are you going to eat for Christmas day?

Thanks for the feedback on 1900 park fare. Sure don't want to wait for an hour to eat. That might put a little damper on the day.

The decorations at the Grand Floridian are gorgeous, really worth seeing. If you can get a PS at 1900, go for it. (otherwise still go see the GF lobby at some point.

:smooth: The buffet breakfast has changed at spoodles. They originally had a regular buffet line, but now it is an all-you-can -eat type meal where you tell the server what you would like, and they bring it to your table. You can also have a regular breakfast there. We found it to be quite enjoyable. As far as getting ill at wdw, we have been visiting the resort at least once a month since we moved to florida six years ago {we belong to the dvc and live an hour and a half away} and the only time any sickness was involved was last year when we used a pool at okw that had a lot of small children in it, and my poor wife was ill for three days. We suspect contaminated water.:(
