My CC Number was Stolen!

Just got home last night and while looking over the bills today I find more weird charges that I have fought in the last 2 months and a notice from a bill collector. Seems my credit card number was stolen and has been used in the last few months. Worst part is that I used this card for my DIS CON trip and now I'm a wreck!!! Called the cc company and cancelled the card - will dispute the charges AGAIN and then I will go into the Police Station tomorrow and make a report. This season is stressful enough without this going on too!!! Internet fraud - BEWARE! Sorry - I just had to vent - I've already cried and made myself sick so it was time to vent.

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. We once had our CC used by "someone" for internet purchases----CC company was great in straightening out the unauthorized charges. By just pure luck the person who had access to our number got a little brave and at the same moment I was taking to the CC fraud rep they were charging $4,500.00 worth of building supplies-----Guess the person was caught while in the act. ( Bless store security). I was issued a new CC number. Good luck.

Yikes Mary - sorry to hear this - my parents were scammed twice this summer with their checking account - so I know what you are going through - HUGS

Not exactly sure Marsha - my son in law is working on the investigating of it all and found out some info. I'll find out more after I go to the police station and file my report. Believe me, no one wanted to be around me today when I found out all of this. I didn't need this right now!
