We had our Hardware Engineering and Integration departmental Xmas meal today :)

The company donated £25 per person to spend on food and drinkies so we voted for Chinese this year :)

So 12 of us piled into the Water Margin restuarant in Leicester for a very nice meal :) I was driving so stuck to the orange juice, but the rest of the diners managed to get through 8 bottles of wine!

Some the dishes we shared were

Spare Ribs - Manderin Style (very sticky and messy!)
Turkey Satay
Sweet & Sour Pork
Crispy Beef Filet with Chilli
Beef with black bean sauce
Some other beef thing with mushrooms and prawns
Crispy duck
Noodles
Fried Rice
Chicken Fried Rice
Chinese Pancakes
Seaweed!

:D Shame you had to drive, Tim - that's normally me:( But that was cruel naming the food . . . .and this time on a Friday evening, too;)

All's not lost, however, as I had a delicious piece of Amaretto Gateaux and several cups of coffee with Astrid earlier this morning and now I'm waiting for DH to signal that the Tandoori Sizzler (a la Tesco) is out of the Microwave.

Having just cooked two deserts for some of Darryl's family who are coming for lunch tomorrow, couldn't be bothered to cook any more (that's my excuse and I'm-a-sticking to it:p ).

You're back Kath! How was it? Are you exhausted? I always need a vacation from the vacation to WDW.

I saw something at BBC America shop that might interest you. You mentioned once wanting to have a Union Jack for your car. This isn't the flag, but it's the next best thing.

All right Tim, that's just not fair. I love Chinese food, but DS doesn't--so we don't have it very often. I'm doing tortelloni in Ragu sauce as I type--not very exciting.

Glad you had a good meal. We had our Christmas Do yesterday. Started at 1pm with a curry followed by a pub crawl - lots of Double Bailey's and Bacardi Breezers. I was home by 9.30pm - must be getting old :D
