Hi -- I know people have said they found them in K-mart and the regular supermarkets but I have yet to find them.... I guess I can just buy those little boxes of detergent in case I do laundry.... Ugh!

hi: i picked them up in a stop-n-shop near home before our trip last week. i think they also had them in albertson's(exit 11 off 417), although i'm not sure. i do know albertson's had the coffee in the filter packs.

Most of the places that sell laundry detergent have them here. If you can't find them at home, perhaps you can get them when you get down there on your grocery run.

Thanks everybody...
And Robin -- that is definitely something for me to remember... I wasn't looking for a box since they are tablets... I have to look more closely next time.

I took a walk outside during lunch and found them at Duane Reade... (for those of you unfamiliar - it is a pharmacy) --
I can't believe I am lugging this box home from work!... Well -- I figure with all the other stuff I have to do before leaving bright and early Sunday morning - I might as well get them...
Robin -- they are in a box!..
I bought Wisk.... also got "shout" gel....
I didn't even pack yet - boy, will I be busy later tonight and tomorrow... :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I buy them at Walmart all the time. They have 3-4 different brands including Tide, Wisk, Purex. I use them at home all the time too since my 2 teenagers occasionally do wash now. Much easier for them to know how much to put in.

A national consumer magazine, that tends to sue folks if you mention their name, just did a test of laundry talblets. Tide was the best. Just thought you'd like to know.

Target has them, we bought a box of Purex tablets for $3.25.
Purex is from the makers of Dial soap. I am a Tide-free user, and I like Purex (we couldn't find the Tide Tabs). We took the Purex on the DCL Magic, and it worked great.
I had a professor that was the product manager for Purex, and he once told me there were 18 types of regular powdered Tide. 18 formulas of the same product that they sell into areas based on their water types. Hmmm, cool.
Sooo, it might not be a bad idea to buy (if you are going to use powder) to wait till you get dowm there to buy detergent. Just a thought.
Here is a link to a recent DVC Board thread (http://www.disboards.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1102&highlight=laundry) with more information and useful advice on laundry tablets.
