hi guys, I am looking for some low fat recipes because my cholesterol (in all the bad categories) is borderline high. If anyone has any websites or recipes, I'd appreciate them. Thanks, maggie

I've got Christmas cookies on the brain & pulled this one out for you. I've never tried it with "Egg Beaters" but I don't worry about eggs due to all of the controversy (Are they or aren't they bad for you?)

Deb

Low fat Cinnamon Cookies

2 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 eggs
3 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt (opt)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 c chopped nuts

Beat eggs until light. Add sugar & cinnamon. Add baking soda & flour. Beat until smooth. Fold in nuts.
Drop onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake at 375 for 10 - 12 minutes until light brown.

This cookie has an "odd" texture for a cookie. It is not soft - it reminds me of a stiff meringue.

If you haven't considered it, maybe you should try a cod liver oil/omega 3 supplement. Although I haven't taken it for elevated cholesterol, I have used it and believe it has boosted my immune system. It can't hurt I don't think. Just a thought.
