Hi, everybody. I just wanted to pop in and fill you in on the new menu change for may.
We now are adding sliced italian sausage to the gnocchi chicken dish. Not only does this add value and height to the dish, but adds flavor. I tried it, and that smokey pork flavor is exactly what the gnocchi was missing.
Our two menu additions are seafood dishes. The first is a oriental seared tuna tenderloin, served with wasabi mash, grilled ****aki and a soy ginger broth. I believ it's $16. The second is jumbo seared scallops with a potato roscthe (a fried potato cup), spinach, panchetta, fried sweet potato garnish, and a barbecue hollandaise sauce. $18.
My chef wants me to take more of an active roll in developing specials and menu items, in order to become a first cook. I have listened to what all of you on this board have told me, and realize our biggest need is a vegetarian dish. I told chef this, so he put me in charge of developing one! Right now, I'm working on a pasta dish w/ a roasted tomato pesto sauce for all of you! Keep you fingers crossed that it gets approved!
Oh, one more thing. I just found out somebody ate in tghere a week or two ago and mentioned me! Thanks!

Second cook, i will mention you in August when I eat there as well.... Let me know what you need said, besides a bigger raise more responsibility, and head chef status, or is that good?
being a chef/cook is hard work, hats off to you

SECOND COOK< my 18 year old son HAS to be called the GNOCCHI kid. He LOVES that dish and the new one you describe sounds so wonderful. We will be there around June 5 and can't wait to eat in Mythos. I hope you will also have some fish available for my husband that can be ordered PLAIN, no sauce. He is on a NO fat/chol. weird diet. We can't wait and the GNOCCHI KID 's mouth is watering.!!!! M

How about a veggie burger dish? I've had good ones at Hard Rock Cafe and at the Compass Rose Restaurant in Fantasy of Flight.
Hey SecondCook, are you working on the 23rd of May? We'll be sitting in Mythos enjoying what we anticipate to be one of the best meals of the trip! :) Maybe you can sign my autograph book... http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/lol.gif
Can you whip me up an allergy free scallop dish? Love 'em, miss 'em, but just can't have 'em.
I'll mention you on the 23rd-- you've been so helpful with all the info you've passed along. Thanks!!

Hey Secondcook, credit to you for listening to requests for another vegetarian dish! Hope you can add something to the Mythos menu by August - you'll have my girlfriend's thanks, and I'll have a quieter life!!
Your pasta ideas sound good, but if you could work into a vegetarian dish some sweet chestnuts I'd be a happy bunny.
Regards
Rob
Biggest dissapointment of my trip this wek was missing out on Mthos! The brochure said open daily at 11:30, I didn't realize it closed at 3:30! Was dying for risotto! Hopefully it will still be there when we return in June. New items also sound wonderful! :)

Both full service restaurants were only open 11:30-3:30 while we were there last week! Maybe secondcook can give us some insight!

I just got my Universal planning video and am really looking forward to Mythos BUT..............are you telling me you had a perfectly good Gnocchi/chicken dish and you added pork (I don't eat anything with 4 legs & a face)??!!:( I love Gnocchi and GOOD Gnocchi is hard to come by. ::::sigh::::: Is there a place I can view the menu? I want to check out the variety so I can plan ahead!:)
Thanks!!

diva of dragons- we can make it w/o sausage for you with no problem. Just remember, if you order it w/o chicken as well, you'll have to order it with a different sauce. The tomato fennel jus lie contains chicken stock.

Second Cook,
I don't know if this is even possible or not, but we ate at Mythos last week on our trip & I ordered the BBQ Scallops, and it was one of the best dishes I have ever eaten (certainly in my top 5) and I have eaten some very good dishes. I would love to try to recreate this dish at home and we be very grateful if you could pass along the recipe. You can reply off list if you have to to RXLOWRYS@HOME.COM , but I would love to cook this dish at home!
Thanks!

Second Cook,
Just a note to let you know that your soups are to die for. My husband (who thinks he is the original Soup Nazi) almost licked the bowl when we were there in August. Your food, theming, and staff are top notch. We cannot say enough about your restaurant.
When we go back next year, we will definitely be eating there more than once.
Thanks for making our trip a great one.

A vegetarian dish! Hurrah! If I may be so pushy, could you also consider a non-pasta vegetarian dish? Maybe a risotto made with veggie stock? Pasta is pretty much the standard non-meat dish most places.
13 days and counting!!!!!!!

Just ate there on the 17th and had the risotto of the day and the bannana chocolate cake desert. Both were great. The risotto-don't remember what they called it, had a tenderloin of beef, shrimp, asparagus, mushroom sauce and some other great stuff in it. I hate red peppers, but they had a battered and fried one on top of it and even that was good! Dessert was just too good to descirbe. Usually, things aren't as good as you read, but in this case my expectations were exceeded.
