I love it.. have gone many times but just a warning to you if you are anything like me... the first time I heard about them having a "Clam bake" at the beach club I was thinking just that... a traditional clam bake on a beach setting..:rotfl2: This was many many years ago and I had never been to the BC at this time so I was a bit surprised when our friends shuffled us into a regular buffet restaurant. That being said, the food has always been yummy and it's one of my favorite buffets at WDW. :)

Our Ratings of Cape May Buffet Dinner: (8/8/2012)
. . . food price value: C

. . . seating comfort: B
. . . eatery atmosphere: C
. . . eatery convenience: B
. . . staff friendliness: B

NOTE: Average food quality. This is not the quality of a true New
England seafood buffet. Due to the quality, the buffet is overpriced.
They do have crab legs, but they are smaller legs and the meat is
REALLY stingy. Not high in quality at all, but will do in a pinch, as
will the clams/mussels. The clams are tasty, but are the smaller
Littleneck clams. Face it, you can't make profit if you use quality crab,
clams, mussells on a medium price buffet. Also, since the 2012 rehab,
ribs are replaced with short riba. Also, the key lime tarts, the Oreo Bon
Bons, and Peanut Butter Cookies are gone.

That's too funny :rotfl:. We didn't know what to think about it as we are not big seafood eaters, so we steered clear of it for a long time . Once we finally took the plunge to try it, we loved it.....now we book it every trip as it's one of our favorite buffets at Disney :goodvibes. We have always had nothing but great food as well as great servers....and we also love the atmosphere :thumbsup2.

I would agree with Rusty Scupper. It was an average buffet with crab legs. I like crab legs but not THAT much (shrimp, salmon and sushi are my favorite seafood items). Shelling crab legs for my son and I was a pain. Getting to the place was a pain and the atmosphere was boring. The buffet set up is also weird.

ETA: It wasn't bad by any means just not worth the money or TS credit, IMHO

I'm from New England and love all seafood except for crab. We tried the Cape May Buffet and liked it - but we have learned to adjust our expectations down for Disney restaurants.

The best part of the meal was the cookies at dessert (what does that tell you? ;)) and I remember stopping by the dessert cart to grab an extra one as we left. The greeter at the front desk grabbed a napkin, handed it to me and told me to load it up "for the road." I thought that was very nice!

Cape May is not one of our favorites. The food was OK, but we like other places for food and ambience better. It isn't terrible, but there are better options in the BW area IMO.

Would you be willing to ask them what nights of the week that have fried shrimp on the buffet or if it is nightly?

Thanks, Minniesota2002
